He swallows before smiling, "I knew it was you..."

".... I'm sorry Kid... I'm so... Sorry." You murmur, starting to shake and tear up. He swiftly hugs you tightly.

"Shhh... I understand... Its okay..." He rubs your back warmly. You swallow, relaxing in his embrace.

"I've missed you, so much." You whisper.

"I've missed you too." He breathes pulling back to cup your cheek. You smile, touching his hand.

"I love you." You murmur.

"I never stopped loving you." He smiles kissing you. You kiss him back, cupping his face.

"Come on, they're having a party of some kind." You hum, pulling him into the restaurant.

After the party, and bonding with your friends again, you find yourself on a rooftop. Your gaze was fixed on the wall. "There you are," You look back as Law comes over. "You feeling well?"

"I should be happy... But I feel like shit is about to go down." You sigh uneasily. "I know them, they're just waiting for a reason to use their new toys...." You frown at the wall.

"I don't like the look on your face." Law murmurs. You meet his gaze.

"One final thing before I can come back Law." You assure.

"What is that final thing?" He inquires.

"... I'm going to take down the Guard, and the wall." You respond. His eyes widen at that.

"That's not something you should do on your own." He points out.

"It'll be okay, glitchy genius, remember?" You smile, tapping your temple. He still wasn't convinced, frowning lightly. "Afraid I'll leave again and not come back?" You guess.

"It... It hasn't been... Right without you..." He drops his gaze. "I know I can't take losing you permanently." He murmurs. You blink, pulling him into a tight hug.

"I can't let you worry again... So I guess we'll do this together?" You offer another smile as you pull back.

"There you are," Kid's voice makes you both look over as he comes out. "Everything alright?" He inquires, raising an eyebrow at you two. You look to Law and he gives a nod.

"I'll tell you in the morning... Is Ace still here? The Guard will be looking for him. He needs to hide." You tell them.

"I'll handle that part." Law informs you, going past after giving you a brief hug. You watch him go inside before meeting Kid's gaze.

"Why wait until morning?" He inquires.

"Because I want to spend the night with you... Without worrying about what's coming." You rub your neck. He blinks, straightening up.

"Oh... Okay, well I haven't cleaned up the room much..." He scratches his cheek in embarrassment. "I kinda panicked when I first couldn't find the letters so..."

"Heh. You're cute." You smile softly.

"I'll let you get away with that one." A smile twitches on his lips. You go over to him, taking his hand quietly before meeting his gaze.

"Lets go home." You breathe. He blinks and his shoulers slump before he kisses you, pressing his forehead to yours.

"I've been waiting to hear that for so long..." He whispers. You smile and kiss him softly.

"Come on."

You hum as you make breakfast for the two you. It's been so long since you actually fell asleep without being drunk. It felt refreshing. You hear him approaching before his arms wrap around you and your shoulder is kissed. You mean your head against his.

"Mm... Those are some good looking pancakes." He murmurs.

"Surprisingly. I haven't cooked in like two years..." You admit with a hum.

"... How did you eat then?" He raises an eyebrow.

"Everyone tried to feed me. Or I'd glitch into a neighbors apartment and steal food..." You purse your lips. "I didn't do that often though. Smoker got in the habit of making me food..." You trail off.

"Sounds like you made friends there." He comments.

"I'd be amazed if I did." You finish making the food. "I was an unstable mess Kid... I'd fight just to try and feel... I killed people. I... I..." He hugs you tightly, making you stop and calm down.

"You're still amazing ___." He assures softly. You meet his gaze and relax more before grabbing your plates and taking them to the table. He sits across from you. "So... You were going to tell me something?" He reminds you. You meet his gaze again before nodding.

"I'm going back over the wall... And I'm not coming back until it's knocked down." You tell him. He stops in the middle of chewing, watching you carefully before swallowing.

"Alone?" He inquires.

"Law wants to come with me. And before you say it, no. Just him. I don't want to endanger anyone else." You breathe. His brows knit together at that, eyes narrowing as he clearly thinks about arguing.

"... What can I do from this side?" He asks.

"Well... Red. You can knock down the wall once I remove the defenses." You hum watching him. His eyes widen at that. "Yeah. I noticed."

"Uh... Well then..." He scratches his cheek and you start to giggle at him.

"Everything makes a lot more sense now." You smirk.

"When did you...?" He raises an eyebrow at you.

"Last night when you weren't paying attention. I was testing a theory I had since I went over to the other side. And Red started attacking the wall." You rest your chin in your hand.

"... I just wanted to see you... They wouldn't let me through the normal way." He drops his gaze. You smile sadly, reaching over and taking his hand. His thumb glides over your knuckles and he meets your gaze. "You're coming back right?"

"Yeah... I want to spend more time with you." You nod.

"Alright... Then please be careful ___." He murmurs.

"I will. Now I have to go back." You smile and get up. "I have to get ready."

"Alright. Let me know something okay?" He looks up at you.

"I'll do what I can. But I'm hoping for a surprise attack." You lean over and kiss him before heading to take a shower and get dressed. With a final kiss, you head back out and to the wall.

As expected the place is crawling with guardsmen. You frown, looking around. "___." Lucci comes over to you. "Are you well?"

"I'm fine. The breach made it all the way to the wall I take it?" You guess.

"We think the culprits made it through undetected." He informs as you lead the way through.

"No damages?" You ask.

"None."

"Casualties?"

"None. Just a lot of disoriented guards. No cameras made it either. Some sort of electrical problem." He breathes. His words were coming out too carefully. He already knew, but no one else seemed to be acting differently.

'I'll have to hurry... Law should be at my apartment by now...' You think.

"I have blueprints for somethings to fix this problem. I'll meet you at headquarters in an hour." You inform him.

"Very well." He says before leaving you be.

You hurry to your apartment, keeping your senses on the alert. You enter your place, finding Law sitting on the couch patiently.

"So. What's the plan?" He asks.

"Sorry Law. I'm pretty sure I'm already suspect number one." You smile sheepishly. "So I've decided to go with plan S."

"S? Did you really have that many plans?" He huffs.

"More or less. Now listen up. There's a lot that needs to be done in the event that I'm arrested in the next 24 hours..."

You walk into headquarters an hour later, a folder in hand. Smoker meets you just a few feet in. "Go... Now...." He whispers.

"You'll get in trouble if I do. The cameras are watching you." You murmur hugging him with a smile. "Thanks for everything. I hope you don't hate me after this."

"What are you about to do...?" He looks at you but you just smile and brush past, going to the elevator and riding it up to the research floor. As you step off and the elevator's close, you're surrounded be guards, led by Lucci himself.

"What changed?" He asks you as you smile at him.

"I got my heart back." You answer simply, starting to grin. "It's been a pleasure. I knew you'd be the first to know." You glitch and the guards stiffen.

"Then why did you..." He breaks off in realisation and you glitch past the guards, running for the computer archives. "___!" He shouts after you. You activate your forcefield as the guards start shooting.

"Come on boys! You know better than that!" You laugh, glitching into the room that held the main computers. You hum happily and hug it, glancing over as a leopard- like Lucci breaks down the door. "Told you not to put them all together." You smirk as you glitch and the computers start to blow and short circuit. You glitch inside one, mind breaking apart to track all lines that needed destroyed. You glitch back out, staggering and feeling dizzy.

Something clamps around your neck and you look up at Lucci who frowned down at you heavily. "Why did it have to be like this?" He asks quietly.

"Because this is how everything was meant to happen." You smile. "Everything gets knocked down at some point." His eyes narrow briefly and you let yourself pass out.

When your eyes flutter open again, you're strapped to a chair. "So, this is what it feels like." You breathe, eyes raising to see a smug smile on Ceasar's lips.
