Jin Man jolts awake from the sound a gunshot. He frowned. It has been a long time since the last time he dreamed about that time when he was on his last mission with Babylon. Jin Man has never forgotten it, even in the slightest moment of his life. From that moment on, all of his decisions seem to continuously drags him and those he cherishes towards hell. Except from death, Jin Man cannot think about another reason for him to forgive himself for what he has done, and the consequences of his actions. He cannot change the past nor give Ji An her parents back, all he can do is to ensure she can protect herself from those animals disguising as humans, even when he cannot be there with her anymore. 

Well, let's say that he can return home this time.

Jin Man slowly gets up. It is getting cold in the area, and the clothing he borrowed cannot really keep him warm anymore, but he doesn't really have many choices, not that he wants to interrupt the very exhausting nine-tailed fox from his fury. The former mountain deity's mood seems to getting worse and worse day by day. Jin Man cannot blame him for that. Not everyone can be alright with a several-month mission, even for a former mercenary like Jin Man, let alone a free spirit like Lee Yeon. 

Just 3 months ago, Jin Man, heavily injured by attacks from unknown people, whom clearly are not his enemies, was saved by Lee Yeon. Jin Man, at that moment, being in shock from reduction of adrenaline and blood loss, thought that he was dreaming when he saw Lee Yeon moving in a very inhuman speed, using a strange sword that can appear whenever he wants, and calling storms and thunder on his will. But waking up 2 days later seeing the same dark-brown-red hair guy frowning over him made Jin Man start to believe in the story. Not that he doesn't know about the spiritual world. During the time with Babylon, Jin Man often had missions in South-East Asia, which is an area with a strong culture of spiritual beliefs. He had encountered more than enough to question about the existence of these things. Well, with prayer, there is holiness; with forbearance, there is good. So he has been staying here, together with 4 other men, trying to find a way to end this whole messy situation and go home. They all share quite similar face, but different characteristics and backgrounds. Overall, according to Lee Yeon, besides from the fact that their souls have some kind of magical resonance, they are basically not related at all. 

The other three people are Ye Jin Woo, an ER doctor, Ryu Soo Yeol, an anti-corruption police, and Wang Yeo, a grim reaper. Three humans, two gods, and these are all what they have to fight against a group of professional mercenary, hellish demons, fallen gods, corrupted polices, scientists and businessmen. Jin Man won't be so surprised if he is suddenly lead to the other world by Wang Yeo tomorrow. Not at all.  

So of course, they have to focus on what they can do. Jin Man has been secretly purchasing and delivering quite an amount of weapons to their shelters. Based on each of their abilities he has been training them to use weapons, mostly Wang Yeo and Jin Woo, since Lee Yeon and Soo Yeol themselves know the basic. Therefore, that gunshot should be Jin Woo practising. He is glad that the shelter is fully soundproof from the outside thanks to Lee Yeon's magical barriers. Their enemies cannot even see it. 

Jin Man slowly comes out into the training area. Lee Yeon and Wang Yeo are still focusing on creating some special talisman, which has burnt down quite a bit of their own room, while Soo Yeol is investigating a mountain of documents that Jin Man believes if the pile falls down, even him cannot survive.

His attention falls onto Ye Jin Woo, the tall, thin and pallor ER doctor. Amongst them five, Jin Woo can be considered the most ordinary one. He is a doctor, with some weird personalities and appearances, but undoubtedly having no connection with justice and legal issues or spiritual things. But he has been accepting the whole situation in such a calm way, too calm for Jin Man to understand. Ji Man has seen people suffering from shock, like himself and his niece, but Jin Woo is just another different level of acceptance. He didn't jump up in surprise and disbelieve like Soo Yeol, nor question his own sanity like Jin Man and Wang Yeo. He just agreed with everything and started working right away, as if they haven't told him about a very apocalyptic situation but about an emergency patient having two broken ribs and one open wound. The very next day after he came, he already started to train with Jin Man. Jin Man, as an indifferent person, has even curious enough to test him by suddenly using Jin Woo's shoulder as a pedestal for his M40 during a sudden attack. And Jin Woo just stood still, with no emotions showing on his face, as if he was truly a sculpture. After the incidents happened years ago with his family, Jin Man has never been that surprised. 

So according to Lee Yeon' information and Wang Yeo' prophecy, they need to destroy a particularly special magic stone held by one of the seventh's hellish demons. And Jin Man has a strong feelings that demon is Bale. That motherfucker is definitely a pain in the ass, even after his death. And to get to Bale, they need to kill all the other hellish mercenaries who are actually the spirits of Babylon dead members (mostly were killed by Jinman himself). Since they are not humans, and cannot be destroyed using human power or weapons, Lee Yeon has been coating their knifes, swords, daggers, and bullets of all kind with his powers. Wang Yeo also creates spares one using his deadly icy magic. As long as it is not bare-knuckle fight, they can make sure Jin Man can get to and kill Bale again. But before that, they need to find where these hellish corps are hiding, as they seems to be covered by corrupted polices and businessmen, whom helping them in exchange for demonic power to manipulate the world. And that is the reason why Ryu Soo Yeol is burying himself under the pile of documents doing what he does the best: Finding hints of corruptions. Soo Yeol is actually a strong fighter himself, but more on the duel one, with not so many strategies behind. Generally, Soo Yeol himself and everyone just decided that he is better working on finding their enemies' locations and weaknesses rather than joining the fight, as they already have three strong fighters worth an army already. Jin Woo can help Soo Yeol and can also support Lee Yeon, Wang Yeo and Jin Man as a sniper from their shelter. He can also does smaller things that require a person can silently and inconspicuously poison others.

In order to not let their enemies using their beloveds as hostages to force them out, Lee Yeon and Wang Yeo have done some extremely strong spells to temporarily delete them all existence to the world. So basically, right now, there weren't any Lee Yeon, Jeong Jin Man, Wang Yeo, Ye Jin Woo or Ryu Soo Yeol out there, not until they destroy that stone. The stone itself was carved by the very first stone appeared in the Garden of Eden, and it can be good or bad depending on the one to use it. Legend has it that the stone can just be a decoration jewelry, but can also be the most powerful gem, gifting the one holding it with endless wishes. Of course, there will be price, but they haven't found any evidences more than that. It is just basic knowledge for such a 1000-year-old mountain god like Lee Yeon to know these kind of things never give something for free. 

It has been 3 months. 

And Jin Man wonders how longer will it take for him to return home.
