Every story has a beginning.

Mine starts on the 14th of January, in the year 1992. Dad, David Lancaster met mom, Rose Evans, a year before. Soon, the hardworking, mature, down-to-earth man fell in love with the beautiful, intelligent woman. Then, this tiny litte girl with brown charismatic eyes was born who was named "Scarlett Rose Lancaster" by her beloved parents.

Time flew. A deadly disease took both the truly beautiful souls from this world and left that little kid alone, crying, in the cruel world. Me, being that little girl, was looked after by my aunt and uncle. And don't worry, it's not the clichéd Cindrella tale where the step-parents are ugly, rude, filthy people who make the poor innocent kid do all the work. In fact, in my story it's opposite. My aunt, Macy Lancaster and uncle, Peter Lancaster, were different. They loved me, cared for me, and looked after me like I was their own child. And me? Well, I was the tomboyish, rude, unpopular girl who was socially awkward and did not have any friends.

Oh wait, I forget! I did had a friend. Edmund Trover. We met in 1st grade. This green-eyed, brunette-messy-haired boy was the only one who came up and talked to me and since then, we became best friends. I called him Ed because Edmund felt like a King's name or something. And he was no King for me, he was my only friend, my best friend, Ed.

My aunt, uncle and Ed were the only people in the world who actually loved me. The only people who thought that "Scarlett" was just as good as others or even better. And these three were the only ones I looked forward to. My childhood days were blissfull except my classmates who hated me came up with something or the other to piss me off. But Ed always helped through all this. Now please don't assume that I actually loved Ed! No, I didn't. He was just my best friend. Nothing more or less.

Life was going great... but then came the worst yet the best phase in our life, "High School".

High School's always hard. All the boyfriends and girlfriends, break-ups, teenage hormones, friendships, parties, fights, and what not! But it is what it is. We have to cross every best as well as the worst phases of our life to reach our ultimate paradise. Ultimate paradise, in my case is Alex Turner.
