"That's..." You blink at the egg in awe.

"Yeah... It's going to need someone to take care of it when it hatches, and I thought you would like to." Sabo smiles softly, placing it back in it's incubator. You get up suddenly, making him pause. "Hey, be careful, you're not healed yet-" You pull his cravat and make his lips meet yours. Sabo stiffens and you smile, pulling back slightly.

"Thank you Sabo... You really make my day." You breathe. Sabo blushes heavily, covering his face.

"I-I really wish you had warned me... I thought my heart was going to jump out...." He murmurs shyly. You giggle lightly and smile.

"You're so cute Sabo." You hum, sitting down. He uncovers his face, still blushing lightly.

"Im going to get us some lunch, try to relax a bit," He hums. You nod, watching him go out before going to the window and opening it. You lean out, looking at the forest with a sigh.

'Careful,' Zoro says, making you jump and fall out of the window. '___!' He gasps, reaching for you. You blink at him and a pair of arms catch you. You gasp and blink at the man who caught you.

"Dogtooth.." You breathe.

"That was deadly close." He sighs, closing his eyes. Sighing as well, you relax in his arms.

"Thanks..." You smile, "You saved me..." He opens his eyes to look at you before looking away and up at your window.

"I'll take you back up if you wish." He offers.

"Probably best, Sabo would worry if I'm gone." You sigh, peering to the forest. He hums, walking up the wall before placing you back in the windowsill.

"Fire is a difficult element to recover from, but the best things to help is fresh air and cold." He leans on your window, watching your face. You meet his gaze.

"So.. Like the mountains? Wish I could visit some." You rub your arm, feeling the pain of the burnt veins beneath the skin. "I feel like I've been sitting too close to a fire since I woke." You admit.

"Tell your roommate you'll be going somewhere tomorrow. I'll return just before sunrise." He instructs, before stepping down and out of sight.

"Wait, what?" You huff in confusion, leaning back out and almost falling again but he catches your shoulder, giving you a look

"But before that. You need to return to your bed." He states, picking you up and easing into your room, placing you on your bed. He pauses as he straightens, looking down at you.

"What?" You raise an eyebrow.

"Sometimes... You're cute." He says before going back out the window. You blink after him.

"What about the rest of the time?" You mutter.

'Sometimes? Is he an idiot?' Zoro scoffs, folding his arms. You blush at that, giggling lightly at Zoro. He smiles at you before leaning over to kiss your cheek, but all you feel is a soft breeze on your cheek. 'This sucks...' He sighs.

"Sorry..." You frown lightly. He blinks and sighs, sitting beside you and closing his eyes.

'I'm an idiot... I should've been more careful....' He murmurs, looking at his hands. You frown more, about to say something but Sabo returns with a tray of food and Luffy and Ace.

"Hey ___!" Luffy chimes hugging you. A smile comes to your lips and you hug him and Ace when he also comes over for a hug.

"Hey guys, how is everything?" You ask.

"Just preparing for the Farewell Service." Ace says. You pause, looking to Zoro briefly.

"Oh right... That's tonight. .." You murmur.

"Will you be okay to go?" Sabo touches your shoulder.

"Yeah... I want to be there." You hum. "Oh, and tomorrow I'm going somewhere with Dogtooth."

"Dogtooth....?" Sabo echoes, "The future sight mage?"

"Yeah, he's surprisingly nice." You smile. Sabo huffs lightly, looking away.

"Sure he is." He grumbles. You raise an eyebrow at him.

'Sounds like he's jealous?' Zoro raises an eyebrow as well and you both look at eachother.

"Think so?" You hum.

"Huh?" Luffy tilts his head at you.

"Nothing." You offer a smile focusing on your food.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Sabo peers at your face as you head for the Farewell Service steadily.

"Yep, I'm dandy." You breathe although each step sent a pain up through your veins. Sabo had asked a few times if he could assist you, but you were determined to walk on your own, despite the pain.

The Service was at the edge of the forest a earthen platform sat over the increasing crowd. On it stood some of the teachers.

"We are here to honor those who could not return from the exams, they were all talented mages whom deserve to be remembered." Mihawk states, golden eyes scanning over the crowds.

"We'll now release their magic essence that we have gathered from the dungeons that took them, say your final farewells." Smoker pipes up before uncovering a cauldron. You gasp lightly as various colors burst out like liquid, swirling and lighting the dark surroundings. It breaks apart into a glittery mist, bursting through the crowd. Amongst the glowing colorful dust, you could here whispers all around you.

'Sorry.'

'Stay strong.'

'We're still here for you.'

"___? What's wrong?" Kid touches your shoulder and you blink, feeling tears leave your eyes.

"You can't hear them... Can you?" You breathe.

"Hear what..." He frowns in confusion. You shake your head, more tears coming to your eyes as you sink to your knees. "___?"

'I wasn't strong enough.'

'Don't cry.'

'Smile..'

Suddenly you're lifted up and carried away. Your eyes clear up and you're set down, meeting gold eyes. "Are you okay?" Mihawk cups your cheek.

"Y-Yeah, just got overwhelmed." You breathe while he wipes the tears away.

"You could hear them too," He murmurs. You blink and look up at him. "It's rare, but some how I expected it from you." He becomes thoughtful, looking into your eyes.

"You can..." You're shoulders droop in relief and you smile. "Heh, thought I was the only one.."

"You're never alone." He kisses your forehead. You blink in surprise and feel a breezy touch on your hand. You look to Zoro briefly and Mihawk looks at him too. "Nice to see you hanging about, try not to distract her." He murmurs before walking away. You watch after him and look to Zoro.

'Nice to have someone else actually look at me.' Zoro comments.

"That... Was surprising..." You breathe.

"___?... ___?" Sabo calls, making you look toward the entrance.

"I'm here." You respond. He comes in, letting out a breath.

"Hey, Kid said you got carried off by Hawkeyes, you okay?" He asks in concern.

"Yeah... Just... It was powerful." You shrug slightly. "And so beautiful, like one last burst of power from them..." You breathe, replaying it in your head.

"Yeah. It was fitting... Ready to head back to our room?" He asks.

"That sounds mildly painful." You admit. He chuckles and scoops you up.

"I got you." He hums, starting off.

"How lucky am I? Having such a gentleman for a roommate." You smile thoughtfully. He chuckles lightly, shaking his head.

"I take it you didn't see Kid's new arm?" He guesses. You stop and gap at him for that. "Thought so. Lets go see before we go back." He chuckles going back out. "Hey Kid, lets see that new arm."

"Sure you're ready for it?" Kid gives you a wink.

"Let me see." You smile. He grins before revealing his slightly glowing arm. You gap at the rotating plates that shift over a fiery glow.

"You love it." He chuckles as your eyes turn into stars.

"Is that fire magic power?..." You whisper.

"Yep, only needs a potion a day to keep it stable." He says proudly.

"... Sabo help me remove my arm." You tell him.

"Absolutely not." Sabo pales while Kid laughs in amusement.

"You're great like you are, don't loose any limbs." Kid pats your cheek.

"Fine..."
