Today was the day you would be going into the new squad. Your original squad was squad one, but you were too sick and weak now to fight and send to squad three. Why they didn't send you to squad eleven is because they were full on people, but not squad three.

You carried your stuff into the office and looked around, it was empty. Rumors about this squad were odd, along with the captain. He was said to be like a snake, no eyes to be seen and strikes like a snake when he attacks.

"Hello? *cough* *cough*." You sickness kicked in but you held onto the boxes. "Is anyone here?"

The wind blew inside the office. Dang, people were right. Not many people were in this squad, how odd. There was a third desk as you took your stuff over there and started to unpack. Right when you were about done the sickness striked at you again.

It was so bad you started to cough up blood, your eyes widen as you tried to get to the phone on the captain's desk, but your legs gave out from the weakness in your lungs. Damn that hollow, if it never have bitten you, you'd never have gotten this sickness.

Spots of darkness began to cloud your vision as two pair of legs entered into the office. They hurried over to you but the voice was too low to know if it was a man or a woman...

Everything was white until you blinked it away. When your vision came too you saw you were in squad four's healing room. Voices were outside your healing room but stopped when they noticed you were awake.

Squad Four's leader walked away when a rather tall man with closed eyes, along with strange sliver hair, came into the room. He walked slow like a snake, and hissed his S's like a snake. When he came up to your bed you jumped slightly.

He laughed and held out a hand. "Quiet the jumpy one are you? Sorry I wasn't at my office when you were there, I was at a captain's meeting. I'm your new captain, Gin Ichimaru."

"C-Captain Ichimaru...? Oh right, I forgot your name and tried to find you when I was in the office."

He smiled and brushed a piece of you hand behind your ear, making you blush gently. "It seems like this sickness has gotten to ya. Tell me, when did it start happening?"

You sighed and looked down at your white blankets. "It happened when squad one was participating in killing some hollows nearby. I went alone to one area of the village, killing most of the hollows, but I didn't realize when one of them bit me it created a poison that would slowly kill its host. I was treated to be rid of the poison, which I was, but the side effects of it came with the affect and I was sent to squad three now because of my drained energy."

"You pour thing." Gin gave you a sideways smile and rose your hand up into the air. "I honestly feel bad for you. Maybe I'll just have you stick to paperwork."

"No! Please! I don't want to do paperwork for the rest of my life-"

Another cough came through as you hacked up a little bit of blood. Gin helped by rubbing your back, but you ignore his comfort and wanted your freedom back. "Please captain! Take me on missions."

His smile disappeared as his mouth was set into a long line of a frown. "It depends on your current health. If I were to take you out now the way you were, you wouldn't stand a chance against hollows. But, if you were to get the rest you need then I'll take you out on missions."

Tears streamed down your cheeks as you hugged Gin tightly to you. "Thank you! Oh my gosh, I just got my life back!"

Gin laughed and squeezed your hand a little. "I seems like you did."

After that many months later you were able to overcome the side-effects of your sickness and beat down hollows. Though you couldn't go on many missions like you use to, but that didn't matter as you enjoyed the comfort and silliness of Captain Ichimaru.
