Day 9

Mark squeaked as Tyler wrapped an arm around his neck. The two men were currently on the floor wrestling one another just to see who would get the extra pancake. Amy sat calmly at the table watching the two in disbelief. She began to wonder why she was dating such a goofball, then she realized it's because she loved him and was willing to tolerate his childish behavior. Ethan on the other hand was laughing like an idiot and trying his best not to choke on his food. He was cheering on Tyler and Mark to keep going just for his entertainment. Suddenly, (Y/N) walked in with a tired, but happy, expression on her face.
"Good morning Mark, Tyler, and Amy," She managed to say before letting out a small yawn. She walked over to the counter and placed a couple pancakes onto her plate. She turned to go to the table.
As she passed Ethan She chimed, "Good morning Ethan." The entire kitchen went silent as the hungry girl sat down at the table. Amy paused in eating while Mark and Tyler stopped wrestling entirely. The three were entirely and utterly confused as to what they just heard.
"Oh! Good morning (Y/N)! I hope you slept okay!" Ethan replied with the biggest and brightest smile. This threw everyone into alert mode. Mark and Tyler stood up and looked at one another before looking at Amy. Through silent words they tried to confirm if they were actually witnessing Ethan and (Y/N) being kind to one another.
Mark piped up through the confusion, "What the hell happened between you two? Just the other day you two were at each other's throats. Now you are all buddy buddy with one another?" It was clear that Tyler and Amy were thinking the same exact thing as Mark based on their confused expressions. (Y/N) smiled slightly as she swallowed the last bit of her first pancake.
"I forgave him. We are now on a clear slate and I don't care what you guys think currently. This is for me and me only," the young girl responded as she shoved more food into her mouth. Ethan only nodded and continued to eat his breakfast as well. Tyler, who still stood in silence, grabbed his sister's arm and dragged her out of the kitchen.
(Y/N) snapped at her older brother, "Hey! What's the big idea!?" It was clear that she was a bit pissed off by Tyler's actions.
"Are you sure it was a great idea to just go and immediately forgive Ethan?" Tyler questioned his sister as he stared deeply into her eyes.
She nodded and smiled at him, "Of course I'm sure. It just feels right. Besides, if I never forgive him then I'll always stay broken." Tyler took (Y/N)'s words to heart and let out a low sigh as he studied his sibling up and down. He knew there was no way he could sway her any other way.
"Just be careful then. If he hurts you again tell me and I'll handle him myself," Tyler threatened. He only got a nod in response before watching (Y/N) walk away from him and back into the kitchen. He had a terrible feeling that she would make a major mistake, he just didn't know what.

Breakfast was over and the only two they were currently left in the kitchen were (Y/N) and Ethan. Ethan was washing off the dishes while (Y/N) was scrolling through her phone. Ethan glanced over his shoulder and smiled as he rinse off the last dish and placed it into the dishwasher.
"Hey short stack. I was wondering if you wanted to maybe record a video with me?" Ethan asked as he casually leaned against the counter.
The small girl raised her head and glared playfully at Ethan as she responded, "I'd love to play a game, but only if you never call me short stack again." Ethan complied and the two wandered off to Ethan's recording office where they set up.

The two laughed and joked around for an entire hour while they played a game called, "Getting Over It". They were both incredibly irritated as they tried to see who get farther in the shortest amount of time. It was the first time in years the two had genuinely enjoyed spending time together and it felt more than right.
As (Y/N) glanced over at Ethan she smiled widely. For the first time in years she felt so happy to see him, so happy to just be with him again. So much so that she felt feelings of the past starting to slowly bubble within her.
She shook her head and internally screamed not to let those feelings take hold of her, but she couldn't help them from brimming over. A slight blush appeared on her cheeks as she took over in playing the game.
Little did she know that Ethan was also feeling the same exact way. They were both trying to repress feelings of the past.
