Caged Bird
I am a caged bird,
It's plain to see,
You'd think I'd be happy,
I am adored by many,
And always feed and always have shelter above my head,
But no I don't feel joy, merry,or even jolly,
For the life of a caged bird,
Is filled with sadness and loneliness,
Topped off with the feeling of emptynessand unfillment,
You see looking through my barbed cage,
All I see,
Is a world that I wish to escape to,
That world is filled with the warmth of the mighty sun,
While the clouds big,fluffy,and plump,
Soar through the sky like beatiful butterflies,
Waiting to land on the most lucious, green ans lean trees,
Who brings the unique things like leaves, acorns, and little beans,
And sometimes fruits of the sweetest kinds,
Some that can't even be brought to mind,
Ans in my lonely prison,
There is just me,myself,and I,
The only release I get from myseld is the times I imagine,
And dream that I am somewhere,
Else far away from where I am kept,
And in my dreama I do amazing things,
Like freeing myself and escaping into the world,
Or roming the mountain ranges and surfing through the skies,
With no one to run from or a need to hide,
There in my dreams I am safe,
At least until dawm when,
I awake to have reality slap me in the face,
I caged,lonely ,sad bird,
I will have to be,
For eternity sadly,
But at least in my dreams I will be safe ans happy,
At least till I am a wake
