Surprise? I guess xD

*

Taehyung was just a little boy, growing up within his castle wall. He remembered when the Queen from the North came to his place to celebrate his father's birthday.

He was barely four years old at that time and he wondered why he could remember this memory as clear as the day when he forgot what he ate for breakfast yesterday morning.

Maybe because the dominant presences of the Queen or maybe because his old self knew that this woman would hold such an important role in his future.

He was in awe when he saw the fragile woman took the sword from the general's hand and out the big man down with ease.

'That's so cool! How could you do that?!' he shouted in excitement, the older woman blinked, the little prince waited impatiently.

The woman chuckled, 'you're not supposed to be here right, little prince?' the prince put his finger in front of his mouth.

'Don't tell my nanny!' he whispered, the Queen laughed once again, 'tell me, tell me!' Taehyung prompt.

The Queen smiled softly, 'the key is to use the momentum, my dear,' she unsheathed her sword, not the one with a big blade but the one with a really sharp blade.

Taehyung used to adore her, the way she could build a strong kingdom from the ruins of the corrupted kingdom.

Her strong and solid figure, refusing to be taken down by anyone. When Taehyung was a teenager and he once again met the Queen in the formal gathering for the rulers and soon to be rulers of their countries.

He thought that the Queen was unbeatable, she was calm and collected yet he also saw that thin string of a broken woman and he thought who the heck that could hurt a woman like her.

Taehyung was just a little boy, growing within his castle walls.

So naïve and childish.

"Let me go to Seokjin," he clawed at the iron door of his prison, he could felt and heard the whining from his mate, his hurting mate.

He choked out a sob when the connection of their wolf sent out the pain, a little part of the pain and he already struggled to breathe.

It hurt, so much.

"Seokjin Hyung," he cried, "Please let me go to him," he begged, kneeling before the solid iron and the walls that separated them.

The guards remained still out there, obeying their Queen's order to keep them apart. She wanted them to suffer, she wanted Seokjin to feel the pain of being separated from their mate; with an incomplete bond that hurt the omega side more.

She could handle the pain, there was no way the son of that man couldn't handle the pain better than her.

She was blind with hatred when she saw the same face; heard the same voice; she hated him, she loathed him.

She was all alone and she survived, Seokjin could survive too, even when she hoped the omega to die because of the pain but she also wanted the male omega to see his beloved prince die in her hands.

It was decided, that she would kill the East Prince at the sunset later. She didn't plan to kill him, she just wanted to take over the West and the East kingdom and took them under her.

She planned to leave them no choice but to join her, but yet, shits happened and the moment of truth revealed.

She didn't think that she would open her wound again, digging her own nails to the rotten scars; to tell that bastard's son the real story from her side.

She didn't care if Seokjin's father had other excuse or not, she didn't care and she refuses to care. Losing her only fated mate already made her go mad so what's the big deal?

She was insane after all.

At first, she planned to use Taehyung to catch Jungkook, the West Prince, since she heard that both of the princes were soon to be engaged, so she expected a win-win solution for her when she got the East Prince.

But she got another result and lost her cool.

So when she woke up from her restless nap, her servant told her the execution was near. All she could hear was the painful howling from a certain omega that reminded her of an alpha she hated the most.

"Prepare my robes," she ordered, clutching her chest as the howl made her recall the happy times in the grace field where she chased after that man, the man that swore to do anything to protect her.

"It's all your fault," she mumbled, resting her face on her palms, bending down with trembling shoulder, "it's all your and your wife's fault," she cursed under her breath, she would never back off.

When the guard opened the door, Taehyung was sitting on the far corner of the prison, hugging his knees with tears streaked on his face.

His eyes glistened with unshed tears, his nails red with his own blood for clawing at the door. He sniffled, the howling from his mate stopped several minutes ago and he couldn't imagine what had happened to Seokjin on the other side of the dungeon.

He didn't move when one of the guards kneeled before him and put the hand-cuffs that bit on his wrist and left red angry marks. All he could think was Seokjin, Seokjin, and Seokjin Hyung.

"Where is he?" he asked with a cracked voice, the guards exchanged glances, hesitating, "what happened to him?" Taehyung cried, lifting his face for the first time and the tears rolled down once again from his eyes to his chin.

One of the guards cleared his throat, the one who knelt stood up and tug at the shackles, Taehyung fall to his face.

"Hurry up, the execution won't wait for the prisoner," the heard guard said cruelly behind the mask, Taehyung clawed at the ground with his bloody nails.

The cold water woke Seokjin, too tired and lost to react but his body trembled once again.

The omega looked up to find men surrounding him and his body shook violently as he remembered old memories when people kidnapped him and did cruel things to his old self.

His body became less hot after they poured the cold water to him, he didn't move though. One of the men tsked at him, pulling at the shackles to make him get up from his position.

"Wake up omega," he spat out, "you shouldn't miss the show," he continued as the other guard pulled Seokjin out from the room with the chain connected to his wrists and ankles.

While they brought Taehyung to the open field in front of the North castle, they kept Seokjin at the line behind the royals.

Seokjin fell beside a line of chairs for the audience, while the Queen sat on a golden chair near the centre of the field, the best place to watch.

They forced Taehyung to kneel, Seokjin's eyes became clearer as he recognized his prince.

"Hold him down!" the guard shouted, two men held Seokjin's shoulder, one of them stepped on his feet while the other held the chains tighter to stop him from struggling.

"Taehyung!" Seokjin screamed but the loud sound from the villagers and the nobles talking muffled his voice, the omega shouted once again and the prince's face snapped up when the bond tingled.

Taehyung's eyes caught Seokjin's figure in the first glance, the prince's face brightened up at once but changed as fast when he realized that his omega would watch the enemy behead him.

He gulped down, looking at Seokjin's broad shoulders and some bloody spots on the white shirt Seokjin wore, "no," he whispered to no one but himself, he wanted to look away but his eyes couldn't stop watching his omega from afar.

The Queen got up when the sun started to set but not completely, she unsheathed her sword and stood before Taehyung who kept his eyes on a certain omega, uncaring that he was nearing his end.

"The one who refuses to join me," the Queen said loudly, the audience became silent.

"Would lose their head like him," she pointed her sword, the same sharp sword Taehyung saw when he was just a little boy.

"Be is a prince, a King, or a Queen," she added as the sword glistened with the orange light from the sun.

"I will kill them!" the sword held high, Seokjin's eyes widened and suddenly everything became deafening.

Taehyung glanced at Seokjin for the last time, he didn't want to leave a full hurtful memory for his omega.

So with the last power he had, Taehyung smiled; he smiled softly to his mate.

The only omega he loved, the only man he would die for.

For his Seokjin Hyung, he couldn't hold the tears from falling, he hoped he could have a happy life.

But oh fate is so cruel to both of them.

The Queen swung her sword, Taehyung closed his eyes.

Seokjin screamed.

He saw red before he heard his own scream, the orange mixed with red sunshine; the last ray of sunshine before it completely set.

Seokjin felt his skin burning as if someone skinned him alive with a dull blade, slowing ripping his skin from his flesh, bone cracking one by one; pulling and pushing.

He heard a loud growl after the scream, too close to him; too close to be from someone else but him.

Hissing.

His eyes blurred a little and then focused to Taehyung's shock face and then to the Queen's wide eyes.

A loud blaring sound at the background, a series of shootings from behind.

'ATTACK AT ONCE'

He heard Jungkook's voice.

'AIM FOR THE ENEMY'

He heard Jimin and Hoseok's voice.

The people shouted, screaming, running, and everything became chaos.

Unknown people attacking the North's army from different directions; from above; from behind; catching them out of their guard.

Seokjin felt lightheaded, he didn't know how he could escape from the guard holding him down, he had no idea at all as his head went blank and all he could think was Taehyung.

He tasted blood on his lips, dripping from his teeth and his claw drenched with the same stinky crimson.

The wind cut into two as he dashed, steps light and fast. He never has a vision as clear as this, focused into one.

He wondered how and when he crossed the field, from his position to the centre.

So fast.

Like a wolf.

Like a real wolf.

Hunting.

Chasing.

Killing.

"Seokjin... Hyung?"

He heard a deep voice, from someone he loved the most. Taehyung sat not so afar from him, face shocked, eyes wide.

The Queen laughed, full of pain, she laughed with bloody lips. Seokjin looked down to her, under him, struggling to catch her breath between pants.

"You have it," she choked out, eyes teary, her hand empty; beside her head, the sword was long gone; tossed to the ground and lost in the middle of the chaos, "you really have his blood!" she shouted, coughing as she spilt blood.

Black wolf, eyes crimson, Seokjin pressed his claws to her chest; putting more pressure to the broken ribs. Angry red lines on her neck, she couldn't help but laugh at this situation, this unexpected situation.

"You're really his son," she croaked, "so similar, like twins, so unpredictable.

"A true beast indeed."

"Cantarella," she said with a wide grin, being tackled with a wolf with the same form like her beloved; but this one has red eyes just like her, omega; not the same electric blue Seokjin's father possessed back then as an alpha, "a feral power".

Helpless, under the huge wolf that growling and so ready to bite her head off. Just being tackled like that was enough to break her bones.

A dangerous beast.

The secret power her clan had, the secret weapons.

The rare ability just the chosen one possessed.

"You're a Cantarella too, Kim Seokjin."

"You're a Cantarella."
