As if the whole city was muted and the flashy city lights were blurred, Baekhyun was stunned upon Taeyeon's sudden appearance, he wasn't expecting to see the young lady, days after running away from their wedding. He was beyond speechless, he felt the guilt and embarrassment flood his inside like a tsunami that very moment.

"I didn't expect for me to see you here." Taeyeon said, taking the papers from his hands and standing up. Baekhyun remained silent as he didn't know what to say, he just kept his gaze on Taeyeon who was also shocked as he was. Chanyeol felt awkward being stuck between the reunion of the two people, he was very clueless at who was the young lady and why Baekhyun acted so surprised.

Chanyeol cleared his throat, gaining the attention of Taeyeon who was fixing the papers that fell out of her hands. "O-oh. Uhm hello. I'm Kim Taeyeon." She introduced herself politely, presenting a small smile, "I'm Baekhyun's..." She stuttered as she didn't know what good description she could tell about his relationship with Baekhyun, saying that she's Baekhyun's bride whom he left wouldn't be a good one.

"She's my friend. A friend whom i didn't see for awhile." Baekhyun answered for her, getting up and dusting his jeans. "Oh. Hello, I'm Park Chanyeol. Also a friend of Baekhyun." Chanyeol fell for Baekhyun's lie and showed a very polite and well-mannered side of him.

Taeyeon nodded her head in acknowledgement and decided to bid farewell to them. "Aren't you going to stay for a while? Catch things up? It must've been a long time since the two of you saw each other. Would you mind joining us for dinner?" The giant stated, stopping Taeyeon from leaving. The young lady awkwardly threw Baekhyun a look as if asking permission from the latter but the midget didn't notice it for he was trying to divert his eyes away from her.

"U-uh sure. I-if i'm not that of a bother." She mumbled and dropped her gaze from Baekhyun, now blinking at the dull gray concrete of the pavement. "Ofcourse. You're Baekhyun's friend afterall. I hope you don't mind that we have two other companions." Chanyeol said and started walking, taking the lead.

Baekhyun still didn't utter a word, he just followed, listening to the conversation between his ex-bride and friend/enemy. He shook his head at Chanyeol's clueless actions and he couldn't help but thought "Chanyeol if only you knew."

"I don't. I hope i'm really not that of a bother to you. Baekhyun and I could just... spend some time together some other day." If the ground could only swallow Taeyeon, she already let it save her from that embarrassing moment, she didn't want to look like she was enjoying the fake relationship that she and Baekhyun plastered infront of Chanyeol.

The atmosphere was becoming very heavy and awkward amongst them and the lies that she together with Baekhyun made up were not that of a help.

Chanyeol smiled softly, "You don't know when you'll see each other again," He turned his head and called out for Baekhyun, "And hey Baekhyun, why are you so quiet? Come here and talk with Taeyeon. Don't you miss your friend?"

"No i don't and i'm not even friends with her." The midget muttered to himself and luckily for him, he was the only one who heard his own statement. "And why is Chanyeol acting so nice to Taeyeon? He's acting like she's his idol or something. Pft." He again muttered to himself before making his way towards his two other companies.

He stayed by their side and just let his ears comprehend the exchange of words between the two acquaintances, he was still curious why Chanyeol was acting so in favor with Taeyeon when in fact it was their first time meeting each other.

Does Chanyeol like Taeyeon?

Just by the thought, Baekhyun felt agitated, his fist tightened and he clenched his teeth. It was odd... and weird.

Why would he be angry if Chanyeol liked Taeyeon?

Was it because Taeyeon's his supposed-to-be bride?

or

Was it because he liked Chanyeol?

He decided to choose 'or' because the two choices weren't even suited as his option. He shook off his thoughts and finally, they arrived at the restaurant and it felt like years ever since they started walking.

Joshua and Jeonghan were puzzled the moment they saw Taeyeon, they were curious of the young lady's identity and her relationship with the two boys. "Hello~ I'm Kim Taeyeon. Baekhyun's friend." Baekhyun unbelievably inhaled as he heard Taeyeon's words, she was very certain and persistent of being his friend and it was irritating him so much.

"Nice meet you. I'm Jeonghan and this is my boyfriend Joshua." They exchanged smiles afterwards and the dinner started. Silence engulfed the atmosphere around them, just the soft sound coming from the contact of the table utensils was audible.

Taeyeon was picking on her food, uncomfortable in her place. She could see how Baekhyun was uncertain with her presence and it pained her a little. Truth to be told, she grew fond of Baekhyun for he met the characteristics of the ideal guy she was dreaming of but it wasn't her idea for them to be arranged marriage, it was all for the sake of business which she could only follow for her parents' wants.

"So Taeyeon, how long have you been friends with Baekhyun?" Jeonghan asked, sensing the uncomfortable air especially to Taeyeon who hasn't brought the bossam to her mouth to taste but little did he know, it only added to the tension between Baekhyun and Taeyeon. "It was b-been... fairly long." She replied and returned her attention to her food.

Jeonghan decided to drop the conversation there since he took notice of Taeyeon being uninterested so their interaction ended like that.

They finished their dinner in complete silence and Baekhyun was blaming Taeyeon for it but in the first place, Chanyeol invited Taeyeon and the young lady didn't do it voluntarily.

Finally, Taeyeon had to leave since she has to do some errands for her father, she bid goodbye to everyone and throughout the time, Baekhyun and her never conversed with each other, Baekhyun only nodded his head or reply very shortly as if he's avoiding the young lady.

"She's actually nice, Baek." Chanyeol said out of nowhere as they were making their way home, passing by the streets of Seoul that became more lively as the night deepened. Baekhyun only hummed in response, not giving a damn about Chanyeol's thoughts about Taeyeon but he almost cursed as he heard Chanyeol's next words.

"I got my eye on your friend Baek. I hope you don't mind."

Fuck. I do mind, Chanyeol.
