This is what inspired her and I'm hoping (though I know it's in vain) that with or without recolor, she can have a mega form like this

All it is is appearance change and the day and night stuff.
But IMO, lunala (at least the way she is portrayed to me) would care a lot about appearance and make the family even more special than they already are.
