☆Breeding Your Drilliens☆

Breeding Drilliens can be a tiring process, but for the sake of time, we will skip over how to actually breed them.

In the wild, females are attracted to the male who has the strongest glötip, akin to fireflies. Males can also catch attention by building a nest for potential eggs, and the flashier, the better.

If you wish to breed domestic Drilliens, simply place them together when mating season comes (the cold months) and hope for the best.

Female Drilliens will carry an egg for two weeks, and during that time, the female should not be doing anything strenuous. After two weeks have passed, the egg will be laid, and the female and male will take turns brooding and keeping it warm for about a month.

If there are no Drilliens to brood and care for the egg, one can improvise by putting it in a warmer room, with hot/damp towels. The egg must be kept warm, as if it gets too cold, the baby inside will freeze and die.

Once hatched, Drilliens are considered younglings for about three years, and during this time, they are cared for by older Drilliens, and taught to survive in their biome.

Occasionally, Drilliens from different biomes will have an egg together, but as there are no extreme differences between Drillien types, the most likely outcome is that the egg will have a mixed pattern and coloring of the two parents

If you would like to find another Drillien owner to breed your own with, please let me know! The two of you will decide on the patterns and coloring of the youngling (with my approval) and who will keep the Drillien once hatched
