Prologue
The stars glittered in the night sky over the Clans. This specific story takes place in LeafClan, one of those fanmade Clans that probably shouldn't exist. The camp was calm and silent, with only crickets chirping through the night. Everything was fine. This is fine.
Raindapple woke with a start. A starry cat was sitting beside her, drawing a paw over his ears. He looked up, startled as she sat up and blurted, "I'M NOT STALKING YOU!"
She looked at the tom, a bit confused, and opened her mouth to say something but was cut off once again by the tom. "Seriously, chill, I wasn't doing anything weird. Stop freaking out."
"But I-"
"I have a prophecy to give you." the cat interrupted again. Raindapple stood and shook off the terribly surprising introduction. "What is it?"
The StarClan cat led her out of the medicine cat den, "Follow me. This is like, extremely important."
Exiting the camp, the cat started to lead her deep into the forest. "What's your name?" Raindapple asked. The cat looked at her blankly. "I don't think the author cares to be honest." Whatever that meant.
LeafClans territory was bigger than the other Clans. It's full of trees. And those trees are full of leaves. And those leaves are why LeafClan is called LeafClan. Because LeafClan likes leaves.
'MintClan however, is that big open moor next to the river. Why is 'MintClan called 'MintClan and why is there an apostrophe behind it? 'MintClan is short for CatMintClan. Yeah, they're always high on that stuff.
Now TrashClan... just take away that L and you got what they specialize in. Their dens are literally trashcans. Who knows where they got those from?
Anyways, Raindapple and the unnamed StarClan cat were still running through the forest because it was big. Suddenly out of nowhere, the forest caught on fire!
Raindapple looked around, panicked, as the StarClan cat had disappeared. She began to run back to the camp, the fire spreading to the grass.
As she bursted through the thorn barrier, the camp was deserted and untouched, as if the fire didn't exist. The voice of that StarClan-cat-just-for-plot echoed through the camp, because logic doesn't exist here: "Hey I still need to tell you the prophecy."
"What is it?"
"Go at the center of the camp."
Raindapple approached the middle of camp carefully. She looked down and gasped. It was so mysterious and amazing that she backed away, looking up at the night sky, also ignoring the raging fire because it apparently doesn't matter anymore. "What does it mean?" She asked, bewildered.
"I actually don't know to be honest, the others don't give me any details. They're just like: 'Go give the Clans this unnecessary and totally encrypted prophecy that makes no sense to stress them out for a bunch of moons until they find out at the very last minute.' I actually forgot the prophecy too. Had something to do with a brown cat... some dirt..."
"Also yes I brought you into the forest for nothing." The StarClan tom finished, his voice fading away.
Raindapple woke from the dream, shocked and confused. What could any of this mean, she thought. And for the rest of the day, she couldn't get the picture out of her head; the one of a pile of dirt with the word 'Clan' written on it.
Yay first story I've ever made! My writing is terrible and I hope it gets better in time. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
