This Year

This year is for Aspirations.

This year is transformations,

Inspiration, and greater expectations.

This year I will learn to breathe,

To pay attention, to believe,

To selflessly give and properly receive.

This year I will fly-

In my mind's eye, and not just

Comply; stand by; or scrape by.

Now it's time to thrive.

This year I will crucify my past,

And purify the rest.

Pain will be the answer

To a long awaited test.

This year I will forgive-

You; myself...

And decide to really live.

This year is for clarity,

Sincerity, and prosperity.

This year is for regeneration.
