He circled a few more words with his red ballpen before letting his hands drop on the table, he was dead tired that he could sleep on his seat but he couldn't because he was at work.

"Chanyeol, how's your manuscript going?" He looked up and found his friend, Kyungsoo who was holding a cup of coffee. It was 10:30 in the evening so caffeine was what they really needed to inject in their veins right now to keep their eyes open— i mean to stop them from falling asleep.

He sighed and closed the white folder for the meantime to rest for abit or else he could go blind from the red tint engraved on the white sheet of paper and his hands could go paralyze from too much writing then he spoke, "It's going okay i guess? I still have a few more revisions and i haven't read the whole thing."

"That's good then. Atleast you have progress. I'm still stuck on chapter 4 and i don't know what to do anymore." Kyungsoo huffed, placing his cup of coffee on his table and then rested on his swivel chair.

Chanyeol chuckled, ruffling the latter's hair, "You can do it Soo. It's not due till next 3 weeks so we still have time."

"Yeah i wish." Kyungsoo rolled his eyes and downed his coffee in one go to keep himself awake.

Chanyeol stood from his chair and slipped on his coat, "I'll get going now. I still have to run some errands for my mom."

"Okay. Take care. Drive carefully." Kyungsoo waved then started working on his manuscript while trying to erase the sleepiness by his eyes.

"Yeah you too. Don't be out too late."

He noted Kyungsoo's 'okay' before leaving their office and going out to the winter city. He pulled his coat tighter to his body to protect himself from the cold yet he shivered as he felt it to his bones.

"Why is it extra cold tonight?" He asked to himself as he walked to his car, parked infront of their building.

He was about to open his car door when he felt as if someone was looking at him, he turned around and searched the whole perimeter but there was no one except for him.

"Weird." He whispered before getting inside his car and turning the heater on to max causing him to sigh in relief.

He started the engine and pulled from his work making his way to the mall since his mother had asked for him to buy some things.

He was driving peacefully when his phone started ringing out of nowhere, he fished it out of his pocket but it wasn't there, he momentarily removed his eyes on the road and looked for it in his car's compartment.

"Where did it go?"

He searched everywhere that is within his reach for his ringing phone, but when he raised his head, he saw it on the backseat through his rear view mirror.

He kept his left hand on the steering wheel whilst the other one tried to reach for the phone on the backseat.

Yet he heard a loud honk making him retrieve himself on his seat properly but a bright light blinded his eyes and before he knew it,

Time pulled everything
back to the past.

"B-Baekhyun?"
