So what is fat?

Fat is what my relatives called me when I was six years old.

They didn't call me cute or chubby like you would normal six year olds.

They called me fat.

Their faces were twisted in an expression of disgust.

They looked at me like I was a freak show. Nothing more.

Everytime I would visit them, I'd purposely wear clothes that had a smaller tag size so that I'd seem more "normal".

And when I did, they'd congratulate me, a six year old, for being thinner. I felt confused.

Was I better if I was thinner?
