Micheal's POV

"Leanne! Hurry up, we're gonna be late!" I call up stairs then check to make sure I have everything.

"Ready" Leanne smiles coming down the stairs. "Finally" I sigh "what was taking so long to put some clothes on? We only have..."

"2 hours?" She cuts me off and I look at her confused then look over at the clock. "Baby, just try and relax" she smiles wrapping her arms around me. "I'm sorry, I'm just really excited. We're gonna see our baby today" I smile excitedly. "I can't wait either" she smiles and pecks my lips.

It's our first baby scan today and I've been so filled with both excitement and nervousness. At first it seemed like Leanne was unsure, but when talked about it she said that it was just a surprise and she was worried about how I'd react because it's something we hadn't talked about before. But since we've talked she's seemed more excited about us having a baby and we've even been thinking about baby names and deciding on how to decorate the nursary.

It's the anniversary of Leanne's parents next week and Mary's trail is the day after and even though everybody keeps saying I need to be preparing her more for it, we have talked about it and will do more over the next few days, but for today I've decided not to mention any of it because we've both been so excited about seeing our baby for the first time and I really don't want anything ruining this moment for us.

"I don't think your allowed to touch that" Leanne says, sitting on the hostpital bed while I'm looking at some stuff around the room while we're waiting for the nurse to come back with some notes and stuff she forgot.

"If they didn't want us to touch things then they shouldn't leave them lying around" I shrug still playing around with all the shiny, metal things on the table then go to the other side of the room to check my height.

"Micheal, why don't you come and sit with me?" Leanne smiles as I'm about to check my heartbeat. "I'm sorry, I'm being annoying aren't I?" I say putting the stethoscope back and walk over to her.

"Your not annoying me" she smiles pecking my lips. "But, you do need to relax. Everything's gonna be ok. Quit worrying so much"

"I'm not worried" I shrug casually and she looks at me unconvinced. "Maybe a tiny little nervous" I mumble. "Everything will be fine. I promise" she smiles wrapping her arms around me and pulls me close to her so I'm standing between her legs with my arms around her waist. "And in few more minutes we're gonna see our baby" she smiles excitedly "I can't wait" I smile back the same way then lean in and peck her lips.

"Hey, sorry I about the wait I... oh um" the nurse says awkardly, walking into the room and I realise I'm still standing between Leanne's legs with my arms wrapped around her. "We were just talking" I say, breaking away.
"Maybe we should just get started on the tests" the nurse smiles at Leanne changing the topic. "Ok, first I need to ask you a few questions and then we'll check your blood pressure and..."

"For what? She's not sick" I cut in confused. "It's just standard practice" she smiles at me and I sit quietly while the nurse asks Leanne a whole bunch of questions the does some tests on her.

"Ok. That's all the test done" the nurse smiles at Leanne after what feels like forever. "Is she allowed to get the scan now?" I ask and she smiles and nods and I smile back making my way over to them.

"Are you both ready?" The nurse smiles and Leanne and I both nod taking each others hand as she turns the screen around for us to see and we both stare silently looking and smiling contently at the screen.

Leanne's POV

After our baby scan Micheal has a meeting at work so he's dropping me off at the hotel on the way and the whole drive I haven't been able to take my eyes of the sonogram. "I can't believe this is really happening" I smile, still staring at the picture. "Me neither" Micheal smiles with the same excitement as me.

"Are you sure you don't wanna just go home and rest? I can get one of my brother's to cover at the office and take you home and..."

"You have a meeting remeber?" I cut him off and he looks at me nervously. "You'll do great I promise" I smile and peck his lips. "I can still take you home though. I don't want you doing to much"

"I'll be fine. I'm only gonna be here about an hour and then I'm gonna go see my grandma. I wanna tell her the good news" I smile.

"Your going today?"

"Mhm" I nod. "Why don't I come with you? I haven't seen Maria for awhile"

"Because your busy and have work to do remember?" I point out. "I'll tell her you said hi though" I smile and kiss him softly then get out of the car.

"Aren't you forgetting something?" Micheal calls me back and I look at him confused for a moment. "Oh yeah!" I gasp, taking the sonogram photo from him. "I can't wait to show my grandma!" I smile and peck his lips once more before going inside.

As soon as I walk in, I see Emma standing at the desk and smiles and starts walking over to me. I look around and sigh slightly in relief seeing one of the security standing by the door. "Trevor!" I smile walking over to him. "Hey! How's it going?" He smiles, turing to me. "Good... um.. how about you? Anything interesting?" I ask keeping a look over at Emma. "Not really. Same old stuff" he shrugs. "That's great" I smile, still keeping my attention on Emma who's looking over, waiting for me to finish my conversation. I see some people walk towards the desks and I turn my attention back to Trevor. "Well. I'll leave to get back to your work" I smile and head towards my office quickly.

I'm in my office and, I get a phone call from Micheal who's freaking out.

"Baby, just relax and take deep breaths" I say calmly. "Maybe I could ask Tito to do it. He's in the meeting anyway and if I give him the notes then..."

"You can do this yourself. You don't need Tito or anybody else. You can do this"

"But what if I mess up?" He sighs nervously. "Baby, we've been practicing for your meeting all week. Your not gonna mess up. Just try and relax and do it exactly like we practiced and you'll do great" I reassure him. "Um... I don't think me and Mr Stevens making out and groping each other would be appropriate"

"Not 'exactly' like our practice meetings" I giggle, making him do the same. "Just say what you planned and answer any questions clearly. You'll do fine"

"But they all stare at me when I talk during meetings" he says getting nervous again. "Then try picturing them all in their underwear. I heard that helps some people"

"Baby, my parents and siblings are in that meeting" he chuckles slightly. "Oh yeah.. well in that case. Just remember to speak clearly, don't grope the buyer and don't picture your parents naked"

"I'll try my best" I chuckles and I hear someone in the background talking.

"Baby, I have to go the meetings gonna start soon. I'll talk to you soon"

After I end my call with Micheal I'm about to continue with my work and I get a text message.

I love you xxx

I smile reading the message and quickly text him back.

To: Micheal
I love you more xxx

After texting Micheal. I finish off what I was doing and I'm about to get ready to leave when Emma walks in.

"Hey, how's it going?" I smile, getting my things together. "Um... I need to talk to you about next week"

"What about it?" I shrug. "It's Mary's trail next week. You do know that? And we need to be preparing and..."

"All you have to do is stand there, they ask questions and you answer them. What's to prepare for?" I shrug. "I'm gonna have to go I..."

"You have to prepare for what might happen during court" she cuts me off. "Have you been to the police with that tape yet?" She asks and I don't answer.

"Are you serious!?" She frowns "Leanne, you need to go to the police with that tape. Mary's trail is only a week away and she could walk free. You do realise that? And that tape could send her away for a long time and..."

"Why can't you just get off my back!?" I snap cutting her off. "Because you need to understand what's going on here. You can't just block this out and pretend it isn't happening because it IS and you need to face up to it and stop trying to hide from it and hope it all goes away because it won't. I've been saying this over and over and trying to make you see sense for weeks now. What do I have to do for you to understand that you can't run away from this"

"You could stay out of my business and let me deal with things my own way. That's something you haven't tried yet" I say with an attitude. "But your 'own way' isn't helping because you not dealing with things. What was the pointing on asking me to get a confession from Mary if your not gonna do anything but sit and cry about it and... "

"I have to go" I cut her off. "Go where?" She shrugs "not of your damn business!" I snap

"Why are you being like this?" She frowns confused. "Because all you ever do is go on and on about the same thing and I don't talk about it anymore I just wanna..."

"Because you need to talk about it. This isn't something you can block out and wait for it to go away because it won't. I understand your scared, but if you hand that tape over to the police then Mary could get sent away for a long time. If you want, i'll come with you when you take it" she says softly and I don't say anything for a moment.

"I have to go" I mumble and turn and leave the office before she has the chance to say anymore.

Micheal's POV

"You did great in there!" Tito says as we're walking back to our offices. "You think so?" I smile and he nods. "Yeah, you've really come on alot. There was a time when we'd forget you were even in a meeting because you were to scared to open your mouth. I'm really proud of you" he smiles. "Thanks" I smile back "Leanne's been helping me alot with public speaking and stuff"

"How is Leanne doing?"

"She's doing good. We had our first baby scan today" I smile. "How did you feel when you first saw your baby?"

"It felt amazing like.. umm.. like... I can't explain it but..."

"And THAT is the most amazing feeling you can have" he smiles. "Are you going back home to Leanne now the meeting over?" He asks and I shake my head. "She's gone to visit Maria at the nursing home"

"But, I thought Maria didn't want her going there" he frowns confused. "At first she didn't, but we've been going to see her from time to time an her and Leanne have started getting close again. I haven't been for awhile though"

"So why don't you meet her there now?"

"I can't I have work to do"

"I'll cover for you... just this once though" he says sternly. "Thanks" I smile and take out my phone to call Leanne and let her know I'll me her there.

"That's weird. Her phone's switched off" I frown confused. "Don't you have to switch them off in those places?"

"Oh yeah" I remeber. "I'll just meet her there anyway"

"What do you mean she's not here? Leanne said she was coming here to visit her her grandmother" I frown confused. "It doesn't say anything on here" the woman on the desk says looking through some notes. "She's probably on her way then. Is it ok if I see Maria?" I ask as she's still looking through her notes.

After leaving the nursing home. I try calling Leanne's phone and it's still switched off and her office phone at the hotel isn't picking up either and I start getting really worried.

I get home and call out for Leanne as I'm walking around downstairs and I don't get an answer, but as I start making my way upstairs, I hear sniffling coming from the bedroom.

"Are you ok?" I ask softly walking over to Leanne and she doesn't answer me and sits on the end of the bed and I walk over and sit beside her.

"I've just come back from the nursing home and they told me..." I begin and Leanne burst into tears and I wrap my arms tightly around her. "I tried see her but... but they wouldn't let me and... and they said that....that she... they said she..." she sobs trying to get her words out. "Sssh... it's ok" I say softly pulling her closer. "I didn't even get to say goodbye" she sobs wrapping her arms tightly around me.
