The events from yesterday clearly left everyone in the family shook. Grace was almost completely silent, only occasionally saying a quiet "Thank you" Or "Good morning." Leah was frazzled, her hair was unkept and tied in a low messy bun.

It was Saturday and Leah was taking care (texting her friends) of Grace and i (we have been known to get into trouble a lot) since Mum was in the hospital. I was upstairs listening to music upstairs on my phone, i got bored so i went downstairs to the living room where Grace was drawing.

"Hey." I said to her as i sat down next to her

"Hi." She replied her pencil scribbling like mad

"Wheres Leah?" I asked keen to keep the conversation going.

"Kitchen." She replied casually

"So whatcha drawing?" I asked peering over her shoulder

"Nothing." She replied as she caught me peering over her shoulder and hid her drawing from my view

I gave her the puppy dog eyes

"Doesn't work on me!" She sang

"Oh cmon! Whats it gonna take for me to see what u draw?"i said annoyed

"Hmmm." She said her mind was working

"Well?" I asked after several minutes

"A strawberry milkshake topped with icecream and whipped cream." She said smiling

"Wow. And how am i going to do that without Leah being around?" I asked

"Do what you do, wreak havoc outside to distract her and make it oh and don't forget the sprinkles!" She said going back to drawing

I pulled a face at her and went outside, i was about to let the chickens out of their cage when FluffBall my kitten wrapped around my legs meowing as Bruno mine and Graces puppy yapped loudly

Wuf wuf

"Huh? Ohhhh gotcha! Good boy Bruno!" I said seeing Grace waving through the window.

"So whats for Lunch?" I asked Grace while we sat at the kitchen table

"Whatever Le made." Grace replied

"Hey giiiirrrlllssss! I made your favourite! Its WAFFLES!" Leah said bringing two playes of waffles

"Wa-wa-waffles my fa-favourite." Grace said tearing up which caused me to tear up.

"Remember i still owe you a strawberry milkshake!" I whispered and Grace giggled as we ate our waffles
