So I was sitting on my couch eating ice and this dumb ass question popped on my head "how and why is ice cold?" I kept debating with myself until I had to google this shit, and here's the answer:

The water uses the energy from your hands if you touch it, to increase the energy and allow it to melt, so it feels cold. Stephen Curry answered on 21 Jun 2010: Ice is cold because it is formed by removing the heat energy from water so that it's temperature drops. Ice only forms once the temp dips below zero.

Yep this is the answer to the most dumbest question of the century. I wonder why I didn't know this.
