Her sobs were heartbreaking, I could nearly feel my heart fade away too, the emotions at least. I mustered up the courage and stood before her. It took a whole minute for her to finally look up, her shoulders stopped shaking.   

What if she couldn't see me anymore?

What if she got frightened?

I stood there frozen, unsure of what to say. Hadn’t really spoken since the day I figured out no one could hear me. I tried to open my mouth and release a syllable, but my voice quivered and fell. A small smile appeared on her lips and I felt my own composure falter.
