Bri POV

When we arrived at the facility, the first thing I saw had me more than just a little concerned. The window by the front desk was broken, bullet's spread out on the floor outside of the facility and some on the pavement that laid outside, shining in the gravel of the parking lot area.

"I hope she's okay," I whispered nervously, my thoughts running at 100 miles an hour.

This was my fault.

It was all my fault.

The faces on the men around me were just as grim as mine. Namjoon opened the door first, the rest of the guys following behind them as Hoseok pulled up on a van they had brought. Hoseok and Jin had been the ones to drive, both of them moving off to one side to discuss something that I couldn't quite make out.

They looked determined, Jin the most serious out of all of them.

"To be quite honest, things don't look too good," Namjoon mumbled at Yoongi, who had run to the back of the car, popping the trunk wide open.

I had only noticed it then, but they had all begun to pull weird vests, that I didn't recognize until I scanned them for several seconds.

Bulletproof vests. They had all put on bulletproof vests. Placing black hoodies over them, Namjoon and Hoseok passed around some black face masks, Namjoon then walking over to me and placing a vest over my body.

"What? Why?" I asked as they placed a hoodie on me.

"Namjoon and I will scope the place, everyone has an earset?" Hoseok asked, handing me a small earpiece that connected to a small black broch on my shirt's collar.

"Yes sir!" the guys said in unison, keeping there voices someone low before Namjoon split us up.

He had taken a seat inside one of the cars, the lights off as Hoseok took a seat in the van next to the car Namjoon was in. They had both pulled out two computers, the windows on the vehicles going tinted in the blink of an eye.

"Come on Bri, we have no time to be spacing out, now let's head in," Jungkook scoffed, pulling my arm harshly up the stairs that lead into the building. Jin looked around, the lights had been shut off, some of the light bulbs above us broken, the shards resting on the floor below us.

I quickly made my way over to the desk, seeing the desk in disarray as two heels sat under the small chair Ms. Park usually sat in, her desk opened and her monitor off.

"Ms. Park," I breathed out, realizing only then that I had been holding my breath.

"Bri, which way do you think she could have gone?" Jin asked, looking at me as I took a hold of the keys she had left on the floor.

"She must have taken the master keys with her. I can only see me and Jae's keys here. If my suspicion is correct, she would have run towards the safe room. We keep all the belongings of the victims there until the investigators come to pick them up to take them to the station. It's locked from the outside but has a second door that can be locked from the inside. Jae said it's so that the investigators can take a look without our interruption."

I held my breath again, waiting for Jin to say something.

I was nervous, my heart raising far faster then it should have.

"And which way may that be located in?" Jin asked.

"To the left. These are Jae's keys," I said handing them to him.

"I'll go right to seek there. You go left with the guys and make sure to be quiet. Hoseok, can you hear us?"

"Yes, loud and clear. Bri, you may be a bit confused, but for now, all you need to know is that Namjoon will be Jin's group's eyes and ears. I'll be your group's okay?" Hoseok said.

"So..what are you supposed to be doing?"

"Namjoon makes sure Jin doesn't get lost in the building. We both will be keeping an eye on the cameras in case we spot someone- I mean Ms. Park," he corrected himself.

"Okay," I said, nodding my head and grabbing onto Jimin and Jungkook's arms, pulling them with me while Jin took Taehyung through the other side. Yoongi rushed behind us, all of us walking slowly through the first hall.

The building looked a lot smaller on the outside, but once you entered it, it was like a maze, my hands holding the railing before walking to the end of the hall. I started to breathe slowly, my hand going to my chest.

1, 2, 3. I counted slowly.

I was anxious, nervous as to what I would find.

"It's empty," Hoseok said through our earpieces, my mind wondering where Ms. Park had gone.

Could she have gone left of right?

The safe was on our left, but the right led to the other corridors. What if I had been wrong and she was actually in one of those rooms? I stood silent, thinking, the guys behind me sounding impatient as I listened to their growing.

"What's wrong Ms. Bri?" Jimin asked, holding my arm softly to try and get me back to Earth.

"She could have gone left...since the safe is in that direction..yet...she could have gone right into one of the rooms or out the exit. I'm unsure."

"You guys could split up, Yoongi and Jimin could go right," Hoseok suggested through our headsets.

"He ain't wrong, still, something is unsettling about splitting off," Yoongi groaned.

"Just go, I can care for her on my own, you guys know that," Jungkook coaxed.

"But who will protect us?" Jimin squeaked.

"Come on, we don't have all night," Jungkook urged, pulling me away as the other two went in the opposite direction.

We walked for what seemed like forever, the sound of our shoes barely audible. I was nervous for many reasons. I was scared. I was hopeful but knew better than to keep my hopes up. We continued walking, the corridor seeming never-ending.

"It's all my fault," I mumbled, Jungkook seeming to have heard me, my eyes catching a hint of anger coming from his.

I took a deep breath, hoping it would help.

I walked slowly, hoping not to make any noise, my breath hitched as we made another stop, Jungkook's breath hitting the back of my neck.

"Why'd you stop?" he hissed at me, looking down as I pointed over at the tall silver door in front of us. It was the only door left in the hall, Hoseok's voice heard through our ears as he continued directed Jimin and Yoongi.

"She's in there?" he asked.

I shrugged, "my best bet."

He walked slowly, Hoseok's voice redirected in our direction.

"Can't see inside, Ms. Bri is there any cameras inside?"

"As far as Mr. Kim- Jae said, there aren't any. Or at least there shouldn't be," I added, walking closer to the door.

There was a faint muffle I could hear.

Was it her?

"Ms. Park!" I said aloud, the door in front of me flinging open.

"IT'S A TRAP!!" Hoseok yelled, my ear nearly bursting as I saw Ms. Park unconscious in front of me, her hands tied up.

Jungkook rushed forward, the sound of firecrackers heard in the distance and even through the headphones.

"Hoseok what's going on?!!" Jungkook yelled as he mounted Ms. Park over his shoulder.

"Oh, you know. tHe uSuAL FuN," Hoseok snarled back, the sound of shooting becoming louder as Jungkook turned around to run with Ms. Park on his shoulder.

His voice had changed. Hoseok had sounded much more erratic and even giddy as he responded to us.

"Check her," Jungkook struggled to push out as we began to run.

"What?"

"Check if she'd alive you dimwit! If she's not, I need to get her off, she's just dragging us down," he yelled at me.

"How could you say that?"

"My friends are putting their lives on the line for her, if she's dead and one of them gets hurt it'll be for nothing!" he growled back, pushing her far enough back for me to reach her arm.

As we ran I counted, the sound of a sharp scream scaring us into a corner of the facility.

"..13...14...15," I continued to count in my head.

"She's here, but merely. Who was that yelling?" I whispered.

"Hoseok? You got eyes?" Jungkook mumbled out into his small microphone.

"Yoongi was nearly shot. Jimin took the shoulder. They were able to leave and so did Jin. Taehyung is with Joon, think you guys can make it out the way Jimin and Yoongi took? It's the fastest way out," Hoseok asked.

"Maybe, but the turn was back there," Jungkook responded, pointing behind us.

"I know a way to get there, Jungkook, look up," Namjoon cut in through the earphones.

"Alright~" Jungkook smirked.

"No! Are you guys insane?" I whispered yelled.

Namjoon had directed us to the vents, Jungkook taking ahold of my waist before pulling me up and towards the roof.

Hesitantly, I pushed the vent open Jungkook pushing Ms. Park's still unconscious body behind me.

"Hurry, they are closing in on your right," Namjoon warned, Jungkook jumping up to catch my arm which he used to pull himself inside, both of us closing the vent before going completely still.

A herd of footsteps could be heard running behind us, my arms immediately going to Jungkook, one of my hands pinching his nose while I grabbed another to hold Ms. Parks.

I held my breath, counting to six before letting go.

There had been at least seven men below us, all armed looking around for us, thankfully, however, we were able to continue on the opposite direction in which they had walked towards, Jungkook moving slowly as Namjoon led us out into the corner where the exit stood.

There was a single man standing there, one I did not recognize but that seemed to be holding a gun. Jungkook looked over at me, before smiling widely, his eyes almost gleaming in excitement.

"This is going to be fun!" he whispered before pushing his leg down to kick the vent wide open, his body flowing down like a blanket cascading onto the floor, his foot constantly kicking at the man in front of him, his arms going to his neck and snapping it in a way I never thought possible.

"Come on!" he shouted, his hand pulling me and Ms. Park down before carrying her with one arm while he pulled me down with the other.

"RUN!!" He yelled as the sound of firecrackers rushed behind us, my legs picking up speed as the weight of the bulletproof vest finally began to pull me down.

Jungkook seemed to be dragging me more and more before a car pulled up in front of us, Jungkook pushing Me and Ms. Park inside before jumping into the front, the driver swerving to one side as we speed off, Namjoon and Hoseok tailing behind us.

"Hey Jackson, long time no see," Jungkook smirked.

"Long time no see my ass. Do you honestly think I'm here to protect you?"

The man paused, looking over at me before smirking.

"Namjoon had told me it might get ugly. Been a while hu Ms. Bri?" he asked with a sly smile.

Did he know me?

"Would you just keep your eyes on the road?!" Jungkook interrupted, the man named Jackson cackling loudly before swerving in the middle of the lanes.

"We gotta hospitalize the little miss," he added as he grabbed a soda can from one of the cup holders.

"Bri is fine," Jungkook snapped back to which Jackson shook his head.

"Not that miss. The unconscious one," he chuckled.

I turned to Ms. Park, my mind finally wrapping itself on the idea and circumstances that were happening.

Taking ahold of her body, I flipped her over to one side so that I could untie her arms. Bending down, I placed my face near her face to listen to her breathing, my mind reassured once I heard a faint sniffle come from her nose.

"She's alive. However until I can get a better look at her as a whole, we can't rule out drugs, a weapon, or being hurt mentally. We need a hospital ASAP!" I yelled my hand going to the back of the seat of the driver, his face finally becoming familiar to me.

"My family's hospital is only a couple of minutes away. Hold on tight sweet lady, I'm about to break a couple of rules," he chuckled.

It clicked.

"Sweet lady, I'm about to break a couple of rules."

Those words had once been spoken to me from a taxi driver in Brazil, one my then mentor trusted with his life.

"You knew Mr. Sousa didn't you?"

"Sorry to break it to you now, but he was pronounced dead last night Ms. Bri. His last wish was for me to help you until this case is solved. And let us just say, this sure is an ironic situation. I had no idea you'd end up with Namjoon's Lil gang," he mumbled, picking up a small lollipop he had placed down when taking a sip of some soda.

I looked down at Ms. Park, lifting my hand from her neck only to see my palm full of blood and my eyes immediately noticing the blood that was on her shirt.

Jungkook saw it too, his eyes going wide.

"Move it will you? Enough chit chat let's go!" he yelled at Jackson.

I didn't even get time to mourn the death of the man who had taught me everything I knew. At that moment, my only concern was my own safety, to be alive, to survive whatever I had gotten myself into and to make sure Ms. Park wasn't a victim too.

Finally making a sharp turn, we arrived at a large hospital, the lights so bright from the inside as Jackson stepped out to help me carry Ms. Park inside.

They knew him, all the nurses and doctors bowed to him as he passed next to them. It was like watching servants bow to their master. He yelled orders, my brain not remembering the moment I had hopped onto the stretcher that was carrying Ms. Park into the emergency room.

The words that slipped my mouth, every command, every instruction was lost as I ripped open her shirt to find small slashes all along her torso, each one getting deeper as they went down her stomach.

Examining her more closely made it easy to see the people who had been trying to hurt her had been interrupted. I sighed heavily before letting my tears spill. I got off the teacher, a wave of relief falling on my shoulders.

"I'm glad..." I whispered between sobs.

Jungkook walked over to me, Jackson too busy trying to talk to doctors to notice my pitiful body.

"You okay Ms. Bri?"

"We were able to interrupt them before they did more. Jungkook...we saved her," I cried out harder.

Jungkook awkwardly moved closer to me, his arm resting on my shoulder from a weird distance that simply made him look like a guy who was trying to comfort his ex after a bad break up.

"There there, Miss don't cry. Shouldn't you be happy we saved her?"

"I don't want people to die because of me. I wish I could have done something, anything to stop them," I croaked,

I must have hit an open wound, Jungkook's eyes becoming wide at my words before turning around to hit the wall with his fists.

"Sometimes...Sometimes we can't do anything. It's not your fault when this happens. Sometimes we just have to accept the future and forget the past. Don't ever blame yourself for the faults of others, and don't even put yourself in harm's way. Revenge is stupid," he groaned.

"I never said anything about revenge..." I mumbled the doctor who had been fighting with Jackson finally coming up to us, interrupting our small dialogue.

"The patient suffered a couple of injuries and has one or two cuts that were deep enough to concern us, but give her a few weeks and she'll be fine. We still need to rule out sexual assault but we are part of the SANE program and have some SA evidence collection kits."

My eyes went wide, before I trembled, Jungkook grabbing my hand and squeezing it.

Both Jungkook and I nodded at his words as my eyes trailed to see Jae standing near the reception, his eyes looking concerned as the woman next to him grabbed his arm.

The woman has short dark hair and a bright smile, her movements sophisticated and almost doll-like.

"AH! There you are!" Jae yelled from a distance.

I pointed at myself awkwardly, Jae nodding in response to my confused expression.

"Yes you silly!" he added as he walked towards me.

"Long time no see Kookie, how have you been?" he asked.

Jungkook looked confused, Jae rubbing his hair intensely before Jungkook finally responded.

A large smile came onto his face, his bunny teeth poking out, making him look like a little kid.

I wasn't sure when he had changed, but he didn't have the vest on him, the same one that made him look like a strong man now gone making him resemble a teen who had come to see his older brother.

"KJ! What are you doing here?" he laughed.

"Well, one of my assistants got hurt, oh so my younger brother told me. I didn't know you knew Jin or Ms. Bri. Wow, things sure come around hu?" he laughed, his expression turning sad and nervous as he looked in the direction where Ms. Park was at.

"Jagi, could you not be a dick and introduce us?" the woman next to him asked. Jae continued to look away, ignoring the words coming from the woman's mouth.

"Oh, dear me, what an idiot, hello, I'm Kim Hani, this big dumbass's wife. You must be Ms. Bri, his new colleague," she smirked.

She wowed me, the elegance and stance sure felt the same as her husbands. All three -Jin, Jae, and Hani- had the same air to them. They felt like drama characters, so kind and oozing with charm. Yeah, that was the word I had been looking for, charm.

I smiled back awkwardly, shaking her hand before looking over at Jae. They seemed almost destined to be. Like a beautiful couple from a drama.

"Star crossed lovers," I heard someone whisper from behind me.

As I turned my face nearly smacked into Jin, his face a bit saddened as he looked at the pair in front of me.

"Star crossed?"

"It's as if those two weren't meant to be together, but have finally found their happily ever after timeline."

I was confused, quickly dismissing his comment as Jae walked over to hug Jin.

"I heard through Jackie that you were here with my assistant bro. Everyone else ok?"

"You could say that, how are you two?" Jin asked, Jungkook walking next to me before pulling me away.

"Let them speak alone," he mumbled.

I wanted to know more. More about Jackson, more about what Hani had to do with the investigation, more about what all of it was about. I wanted to stay near Ms. Park. I wanted to see her wake up. I wanted to apologize.

"Oh right, Jimin!" I shouted as I saw him walk towards us, his arm on an arm sling, holding it up and off his side.

"You okay?" I asked concerned. He nodded a shy smile, scratching the back of his neck as Hoseok walked the corner.

"Hey Jiminie, please come rest up. It wasn't your fault. Yoongi will be fine," Hoseok smiled as he walked closer to us.

I could see Jimin's pain, the way his eyes watered as he tried to run away only to have Jungkook pull him back by the neck of his shirt's collar.

"And where do you think you're going?"

"He thinks it's his fault Yoongi got shot on his leg. Trust me it's not as bad as it sounds," Hoseok smirked.

"I could have saved him!" Jimin cried, his tears spilling onto his cheeks, while Hoseok pulled him into a hug.

"You guys run along. We will fix things here," he smirked at us as Jimin beginning to go into a fit of tears on his chest.

Jungkook and I nodded, turning around to walk into the waiting room.

NARRATOR POV

The hospital had people walking left and right, Jungkook sitting silently in front of Bri while thinking over the events of that day.

"They're all okay," Jungkook smiled, looking over at a worried Bri whose eyes seemed to be on the verge of more tears.

She looked uncomfortable, her body feeling exhausted after having witnessed so much blood and violence.

She told herself she was used to it, but she knew the truth.

She was use to running away, not to confronting the violence.

The sound of people crying out for help was more often than not muffled out by the walls of the small room she often locked herself in back in her home country.

"You know, this...I don't want this to become a daily occurrence," Bri mumbled.

"It won't. Trust me. Those people," Jungkook said as he motioned with his eyebrow towards the 6 men standing at the corner of the hall, two of them helping Yoongi stand.

"Those men will make sure to keep you safe."

_____•●•_____

The night sky was still out.

All of them had gone home, Jin staying to look after Ms. Park while Jae and his wife did their best to help the police officers get as many clues from the crime scene.

Bri was unaware of what was happening overhead, as the men who were helping her where standing all in the room above her own, the large concrete stone separating the rooms and making it impossible for her to hear their conversation.

"I counted at least 5 on our side," Jungkook groaned, leaning against a large desk while he massaged his back as if he had strained it.

The amount of monitors surrounding them made it almost look like an electronics store, Jimin sucking on a lollipop while sitting on a rolling chair opposite to him, his injured arm resting on one of the arms chair with Hoseok leaning against the other, the darkness of the room keeping the atmosphere tense, almost suffocating.

"Total were 10 guys. Namjoon was able to help me double check on the cameras," Hoseok replied, turning to the screen that was behind him to pull up screenshots of the men.

"We couldn't quite determine identities, but it was easy to get some details made out. It was a trap from the start. The real targets where the Kim brothers and Bri," Namjoon stated.

"But why?"

"Same reason there was a total of over 5000 unsolved murders in a single country last year. The country being Brazil," Hoseok answered a bewildered Taehyung.

"What was the police doing? Being so incompetent! They should be ashamed of themselves," Yoongi groaned, the pain in his leg making his groan come from both frustration and hurt.

"Over two thirds of the people murdered where cops or first responders. Bri and the Kim's are next in line. They aren't safe...that is why-" Hoseok smirked, walking over to a grey wall that sat behind the rows of monitors and computers they had set up before pushing against it.

As he pushed, the wall moved back, turning to reveal a man tied inside it, his lips cupping a small ball inside it.

"Is that um...a gag?"

"Is that really what you are concerned about right now Jimin? Jesus christ there is a man kidnapped in our wall!!" Taehyung yelled.

"You caught one?" Jungkook asked, approaching Hoseok as they scanned the man in front of them.

"Thank to Jin. He was the one who seperated from Tae and punched the heck out of this man. Let's just say he was the one keeping guard at an entrance. Jin said it looked like they were trying to get something from the main office room. Depending on what it is we might be able to figure these hoes out," he grinned in a wild and menacing way.

"We aren't heroes Hoseok. We aren't supposed to meddle in someone else's business. We are lowlife hackers with too much time in our hands. Not some weird vigilantes who come to save the day. Are you really doing this because of that chick?"

"Hey, leave Bri out of this," Jungkook said out loud, Taehyung pushing him back when he saw Jungkook ball up his fists.

"Trust me, Ms. Bri is NOT the reason Jin and I are interested in this whole ordeal. Joon, pull up the info on my computer," he smiled.

Namjoon did as told, turning to a bag that sat laying on the floor next to Jimin, Tae helping him connect the laptop to the main computer and onto the many screens.

"Leo Cardenas, age 39. Son of a wealthy family, and minion to the AIM group. Has an unwilling woman to be his wife and two sons. Suspected to have killed 39 young girls during the year 20XX. Let us highlight something....HE IS A MINION TO THE AIM GROUP. A freaking minion that has killed in cold blood 5 girls between the ages of 3 and 6. Are you guys interested now?"

Namjoon's face furrowed, his hand going to the back of his neck as he began to pace back and forth. He rubbed his chin a couple times before placing both his hands behind his neck and letting out a loud sigh followed by a low groan.

"What can you tell us about Markus. The main AIM leader?" he asked, sitting down in another chair across from Jimin, his hands now intertwined with one another as if he were thinking intensely.

"He's still alive. Apparently he has a step brother in the country, but nothing concrete. He still runs the massive drug organization his father gave him if THAT'S what you are wondering about," Taehyung mumbled.

"I thought he had died in the fire after he tried killing his half brother?" Jimin asked.

Jungkook and Yoongi looked at each other, both of their faces seeming panicked and baffled.

"As far as I know he's still alive. No one has really hear from him since then but they say no body was found in the place," Hoseok added.

"Anyhow. AIM had been planning a heist for the last three months. Woozi from Seventeen inc. has been my eyes and ears."

"Wait, Hoseok, isn't Seventeen inc. the corporation who runs the militia in charge of the border cities and islands?" Namjoon said as he got back up and walked over to one of the monitors.

"He's also our ears when it comes to hacking and any heist we participate in. Especially national affairs and money stolen from the poor. He's an actual vigilante," Hoseok smirked.

Namjoon began typing away, his fingers gliding on the keyboard with an odd familiarity as if he's done it a million times before.

"He's also a corrupt businessman, Hoseok what the actual fuck is running through that stupid brain of yours?!" Namjoon yelled as he got up, grabbing Hoseok by his collar before placing him against the wall.

Jimin stood up with one swift motion, grabbing Namjoon by his waist before pulling him back with enough force to have him crash against the desks and floor.

"Let him speak, you haven't let him finish!" Jimin yelled, as Namjoon fought to get out of his strong grasp. For his short stature, and injured arm, he was still well known for the strength he carried in his tiny body.

"If we can infiltrate AIM we can get a heads up on the heist. They are trying to attack the Golden Dragon Bank. Biggest bank in the country and also the most corrupt in the world. Unlike us, AIM aims to take away the money and information from millions of politicians. Our only job is to steal the money back from the people. We also need to shut down the main computer system of the state. Also...I have a the suspicion that AIM might know a little bit about the people after Bri and the Kim brothers."

"Do you really plan to take the information from the computer to get an in to what's going on? Sounds like suicide!"

"How much?" Taehyung asked, interrupting Yoongi's words.

"Over 79 million. Another 20 million only for shutting the computer down, but we can snopp around before bringing the bitch down."

They all went silent.

They had practice for years. None of it was a surprise, but the amount was out of their own worlds. And the second part of the plan could have them killed.

"That is..a lot of cash."

"Of Course ¾ of all of it would go to the communities it was stolen from, but that ¼ still leaves 19 million for us with a little over 2 million per person," Hoseok responded to Taehyung. Namjoon seemed troubled, as if he was fighting a battle of will and moral inside himself.

"The money is yours as long as we accept. We have till next month to come to an agreement with Woozie, so yall can take your time. However, I have accepted to take part of it whether you all are there or not. This whole...kidnapping. It's only a small section of the job. Plus, he's trash. A murderer. A woman beater, a child-" Hoseok groaned.

"Leave him to Jiwo. She's the best at interrogating," Yoongi mumbled his answer.

"You sure?" Hoseok asked, confused as to why Yoongi would suggest his sister do the interrogation.

Jiwo was known for her cruel methods in getting info out of people. Death was the best outcome for people who ever crossed blades with her.

"Fine. Call her up will you Tae?" Hoseok mumbled.

"I hope my sis doesn't go too hard on him," Hoseok added.
