Leon

You were hired to work for Rose Tower, now called the Battle Tower. The salary per year was amazing as all you were required to do was sit at a desk all day and register trainers for battle. It was the perfect job with amazing benefits. You clocked in for your job and headed over towards the front desk where you sat alone by yourself most of the day.

In the center of the room you saw Leon, making your heart flutter like crazy. Secretly, you were a Leon fan. Every battle that was broadcast you watched and re-watched almost daily. It was a bummer he was not the champion anymore, but at least you were able to talk with him in person.

As you sat down in your chair, Leon came over with a dazzling smile. "Are you ready for the grand opening?"

"Of course!" Your heart raced in your chest as you saw his handsome face up close in person. This job was like a dream come true. "I hope we have many trainers come by for the grand reopening!"

"That's the spirit!" His confidence beamed like a beacon as you basked in its warmth. "Let me know if anything comes up!"

You let out a dreamy sigh as Leon left the front counter. How lucky were you to be in the presence of the great Leon himself? As you watched him walk off, you noticed he was going the wrong way? Leon seemed to notice in time as he was going to take the wrong stairway.

"Whoops! Man, am I lucky to have noticed in time!" He let out a bark of laughter before turning around and heading the correct way.

You watched, confused and stunned at how Leon could have almost taken the wrong set of stairs. Did Leon himself not know the lay out of the previous Rose Tower? No, that had to be impossible. Leon did not have any flaws, right? Of course not, it was Leon!

At least, that is what you told yourself. Throughout the day, you noticed how Leon would end up taking the wrong way, often having to correct himself. Luckily, none of the trainers coming inside to sign up noticed, but you did. What sold the cake was when he had to ask you what floor the main office was located.

Was Leon... directionally challenged? After the battle tower was closed for the day, you were on your way home when you encountered Leon looking lost looking on his rotom phone the map layout of the Battle Tower.

"Is it this staircase? No... I think it is this one?" Leon looked upset with himself as he kept struggling with the layout of the Battle Tower. "Maybe I need to implement signs around the stairwells..."

"Sir?" You came up to him, looking at him with a hint of concern. "Do you need help navigating around the Battle Tower?"

"Oh, it's you." Leon seemed mildly surprised to see you were still here after hours. Truthfully, you were hoping to take a picture of Leon up close, but it seemed like he needed the help. "If you are able to help me out, I appreciate it."

"Of course!" You cringed at how high pitched your voice came out in the moment. You couldn't help being excited around the person you saw as your idol. "Where are you wanting to go?"

"To my office. I was heading towards the elevator, but I somehow ended up going the wrong direction."

"Right! The elevator is this way."

This was the best day of your life. Just being around him made your heart flutter in your chest.

Both you and Leon engaged in small talk as you headed towards the elevator. As you stopped in front of the elevator, Leon struggled to find his key card. At this point, it was a miracle he was able to come to the Battle Tower on time.

"Oh, it's okay! Let's just use my key card!"

"Ah, good idea." Leon gave you a small smile as he looked relieved. He seemed even a little embarrassed?

As you looked through your bag, you rummaged around until you found your key card. "There it is." As you pulled it out, you forced your hand out too hard as the item you were hiding from Leon fell out of your bag.

It was almost like it was in slow-motion. The small key chain plush of Leon fell out of your bag and rolled next to Leon's shoe. In that moment, you wanted the hole to open up and swallow you right then and there.

"Is that...?"

"Ah, wait!"

You tried reaching over to grab it before he could examine it closer, but you were too late. Leon snatched the plush doll in time as he stood up and looked at the doll. It was him in his champion gear with his signature big smile. He even gently squeezed the belly as the doll said his previous catch phrase.

"Let's have a champion time!"

The voice from the doll seemed to echo in the empty corridors in front of the elevator. Inside, you were embarrassed and panicking as you figured Leon would have thought you were some weirdo obsessed fan of his.

"I-I can explain-"

Leon let out a small laugh as he gushed over the doll. "What is this doll? It's adorable!" Leon squeezed the belly again as it sounded out the catchphrase again. You stood there in awe as Leon had fun playing with the doll.

"You... You don't think I am weird?"

"Just because you have a plush doll? Of course not." He handed the doll back to you as he seemed less tense around you now. "I think it is cute you have such an adorable plush doll of me in your bag. Why don't you have it strapped outside your bag to show it off?"

"O-Oh..." Your cheeks flushed as you looked down at the doll. It was too much to look at the real thing. "I thought you would be uncomfortable around me. Seeing as I am one of your fans..."

Leon let out a loud laugh. His reaction confused you as you figured he would have thought you were strange. Instead, Leon flashed you a smile. "I love all of my fans! Seeing them support me even though I'm not the champion anymore makes me smile!" He gestured back to the doll. "May I?"

Confused, you handed him back the doll. He grabbed the pen he kept on him at all times as he signed the back of the head. He handed it back to you, looking pleased with himself. "There. Now the doll is complete."

Your hands shook as you could not believe Leon himself signed your favorite doll. This was an utter dream come true. Without holding back, you flashed him the brightest smile you ever gave anyone in your life. "Thank you! I love it!"

Leon chuckled as he knew he made you day doing something so simple. As you gushed over the doll, he cleared his throat as he seemed a little nervous again. "I was wondering... do you have plans after this?"

"Huh? No, why?"

"I was wondering if you wanted to grab a bite to eat afterwards." Leon rubbed the back of his neck. The once champion of Galar was embarrassed asking you out to eat. "I think you are cute and I want to know you better outside of work. If that is okay with you, of course."

This must be a dream. Leon himself was asking you out on a possible date? He even called you cute? Today had to be the best day of your life. If this was a dream, you prayed to never wake up from it.

"No, I do not have any plans after work." On the outside, you seemed normal. But on the inside, you were screaming and freaking out from excitement.

"Have you tried Bob's Your Uncle in Circhester?"

"Hmhm! I have! I love eating there!"

"Perfect! I will let you guide the way. I have a terrible sense of direction."

So it was true that Leon had a terrible sense of direction. Even though he struggled with directions, it was such a minor thing you did not mind one bit. A small chuckle escaped your lips as you finally pressed your key card to the scanner. "I could tell earlier. It is not an issue for me. I shall be your travel guide."

Leon let out another laugh at your comment. "I trust you to lead the way."

After that day, Leon and you started dating not long after as you both found a connection to each other. Leon made sure to put up signs everywhere in the Battle Tower as he promised he would rely on you less for directions. But, outside of the Battle Tower, he still needed help, but you were always ready and willing to guide the way.
