Chapter 13:Healing
When I woke up I was in the medical room laying on a bed. This wasn't the first time i've been here, Henry would sometimes take us here for monthly checkups. I haven't noticed how long we've been here, almost a year maybe. I looked over to see Alex sleeping next to me in a chair by my bedside. I smiled and reached over to wake him up, wondering how long he's been here. He jumped up, "Huh what" I laughed, "Hey.." he looked at me and smiled. "You finally awake huh." I nodded. "How you feeling? You almost scared everyone half to death." I took a pause to see how I was feeling; my head was making me sort of dizzy and out of it but besides that I felt myself. "Sorry for making you worry Alex." He looked in my eyes and smiled. Henry walked in and smiled at me seeing I was finally awake. I sat up and seen he had flowers in his hands and I spotted Gordon behind him with balloons that read 'Get Well Soon' "Abby I can't believe your finally awake." He said and gave me a big hug. "I had no doubts sweetheart but Henry here had no self control, he was freaking out the entire time." I gave him a hug and laughed. I was handed the bouque of flowers; there were lilies and roses and all types of others that I couldn't name. I gave them a wiff, "How long was I out?" The flowers smelled like sweet perfume. "About a week." I looked at them confused. "Your kidding right?" Henry shook his head. "You passed out 8 days ago Abby." I was in shock of how much time passed and I was the one who was able to manipulate it.
The nurses came in not long after and said they needed to take some tests. Alex helped me out of my bed and offered to come with me but the nurses said no. I kinda wished he could of came though. When we got to the room I was told to stand straight and they took x-rays. They also wanted to do brain test but didn't want to risk me passing out so I was put through a different machine that was less stressful.
When I got back to my room the nurses told me to wait for my doctor. Alex and the others had to wait outside the center. I sat on my bed and waited. There was someone behind the curtains crying. I jumped off my bed and saw a man who seemed in his 20's with light skin and short black hair. He was rather skinny and looked like he was indian. He was sitting by a old man who seemed in very bad condition. He had iv in his arm and was hooked up to a machine with his eyes closed. He looked over at me and sniffled. "Is this your dad?" I asked. He nodded and looked back at him holding the man's wrinkled hand. I walked up to the man laying on the bed and stood over him. I tried reading his mind. My son... I looked at the guy next to him and told him. "He believes in you and he doesn't what you to forget about him." I smiled,"He loves you very much and he says he's sorry for putting you through this." The guy started to cry tears of joy and gently kissed his hand. "Love you too pop..." "What's his name?" He looked up at me. "Gregor...his name is Gregor." I looked back at Gregor. "Gregor is a very nice man." "How can you tell?" I walked away, "I just can." "Well thank you Abby." It wasn't suprising that he knew about me. The nurse walked over and put a hand on his shoulder. "We can't do anything else for your dad... I realize the risk you took moving him here but there just nothing we can do." He looked at his dad. "Guess this is goodbye pops..." I felt bad for him but I knew he could move past it. "Abby the doctor will see you now." I moved back past the curtain and seen a face I thought I'd never see before. "Hello Abby." I looked at him in shock i couldn't believe it. "Doctor Hartman?!"
