VENUS padded through the tall grass. She wanted to go into the forest and see the animals in it.

"Venus? What do you think you're doing?" came a sharp mew.

"Oh be quite Silk. I'm going into the forest," Venus shot back.

"NO! There are wild cats in there! I heard that the cats have stolen cats before."

"Well, I'm just going to take a little look. I'll be back soon."

With that Venus stalked away deeper into the moorland. I wonder what these cats are like. Venus made it across the moor with out be spotted and found out. Venus soon crossed over into a forest and sniffed around. Next thing she knew someone had rammed her side.

"What was that for?" Venus demanded.

"For trespassing on ThunderClan Territory," The small cat mewed. He barely looks older than a kit, Venus thought to herself.

"I'm sorry I didn't know."

"Yeah well you know now so leave."

"I'm going to stay and there's nothing you can do about it," Venus mewed sitting down before the kit ran into her and tried to push her away.

"Oh StarClan! Your heavier than a twoleg," he grunted.

"Hey! Who are you anyway?"

"I'm Stonepaw. Someday I'll be the best warrior this lake has ever seen!" Stonepaw declared.

"Stonepaw? What are you talking about?"

"That's Mousewhisker, my mentor. And the cat next to him is the leader, Squirrelstar," Stonepaw whispered to Venus.

"Thank you Stonepaw for the introduction," Squirrelstar said before looking at Venus, and looking a little startled.

"You remind me of Mousefur. She could be so difficult. Would you like to join ThunderClan" Squirrelstar offered Venus.

"Oh. Um. Can I think about it?"  Venus stumbled out.

"Of course. Mousefur will be here at sunhigh. If you show you may join us. If you don't, then I'll know your answer."

And with a flick of Squirrelstar's tail the three cats were off, leaving Venus to run home herself.
