*Set after Season 9 'Hunted'*

After arriving back to Ninjago, Jay has noticed his girlfriend acting strange. Usually she would be doing hardcore training courses, or heavy combat practices with one of the other ninja, but she wasn't doing any of that since they got back. The Master of Lightning thought she was still emotionally unstable after everything that happened to her and Lloyd, but she doesn't speak out about her emotions. 

Then he got even more suspicious when she started to flinch whenever someone or something got near her left shoulder. Her dominate arm, he thought. Jay was starting to head his way over to Nya's room, now taking her words that she told him into consideration.

'Nya! Oh you're alright!'

'Well I don't know about that, but we can use a little help.'

Shaking out of his own thoughts, Jay stood right in front of his girlfriends door. Hesitant, the boy in blue knocked their secret door knock code. Two straight forward knock, and poke at the door three times, before hitting to door lightly four times. The other ninja thought it was very annoying, but for Jay and Nya it was perfect. 

He waited a minute before hearing a quiet 'Come in' from the other side of the doorframe. Jay places his hand on the knob and opened the door. The raven haired girl was no where in sight, Jay assumed that she was in her bathroom connected to her room. Jay walked over to her bed and sat down as he waited for her. 

Looking around he noticed something on his girlfriends desk, a pill bottle. Knowing Nya, she never takes pills for the life of her. She'll either smash it, break it, or get rid of it in general before someone has to force it down her throat which was never a fun situation when she's sick. The freckled boy picked up the bottle, it was Ibuprofen. 

Why does Nya need pain killers? Suddenly the bathroom door opened up, and Nya appeared. She has her hair wrapped up in a messy bun, wore one of Jay's oversized crewneck, and a pair of leggings. She had a small smile on her face until she saw the bottle Jay was holding. 

"Jay-"

"Something happened while we were gone, didn't it." 

She looked down at the wooden floor, ashamed. The gray ninja walked over to her bed and sat down next to her boyfriend, being extra careful with her left arm. 

"I didn't think it was a big deal." Nya murmured quietly to herself. 

Jay turned his head to look at her, put a gentle hand on her thigh, "Love, please tell me what's wrong. Something happened while we were gone because I know for a fact you only take pills when it's a life or death situation. You just haven't been your usual self lately." he told her in a concerned voice. 

She stayed silent. Not knowing how to address the current situation, Jay put his right hand on her shoulder, and automatically she flinched and hunched over, biting her lip in the process. 

Panicked, Jay asked, "Nya, what's wrong. Please tell me what's wrong so I can help you."

"I-It hurts..." 

Jay removed his hand from her shoulder and got down in front of her, trying to get her eyes to look at him. "What hurts, Nya?" 

"S-Shoulder."

She leaned her forehead against his until the agonizing pain simmered away. Her breathing stopped hitching, and was back to it's normal pace. She slowly sat back up again, trying her best not to repeat the same process. 

Jay stayed in front her, "What happened?" 

"I got crushed by a car." 

Jay paled, "And you didn't tell me, Nya-"

"I thought it was just a strain, nothing else. But then as the days went on it got worse and worse. I-I didn't want to tell you. I thought it would just go away." She cried. 

"1-10 how much did it hurt just then?" 

"1000 freaking million, annoying Kai's." 

Jay chuckled at her slightly dark humor, seeing it calmed her a little. "Can I look?" he asked politely. 

She nodded her head, allowing him to take her left arm out of the sleeve gently. Using her right hand to hold the left arm sleeve. Just as Jay predicted, their was a humongous bruise the size of a basket ball on her shoulder. Purplish-green color spread from her collar bone, to the top of her shoulder blade. 

"I don't think this is a sprain, Nya." Jay admitted to her, helping her put back on the sleeve, "I'm going to go get Zane-"

"NO!" 

The Master of Lightning was surprised by her sudden outburst. Then he understood why, "Zane can x-ray it. If it's what I think it is, I'm bringing you to the doctor." 

"But-"

"No buts about it," Jay held her face within his hands, "I know that you're scared. I know you think you're going to let everyone down if they found out. And I know that you don't want this to bring you down. Let me tell you something, keeping this a secret is only going to make things worse. For not only yourself, but the team. I know you want to be the strong and brave ninja, but it's ok to be scared. No one will judge you on that." 

Her lip started to quiver as he continued on with his statement, "An injury doesn't define how good of fighter you are, it shows how much you're willing to give to save the people you love." 

Her ocean eyes stared into his electric blue ones, sparks of determination flying behind them. Jay leaned in and pecked her lips, before releasing his hold on her face. He grabbed his phone from his pocket, and dialed in Zane to come in. 

While waiting for the nindroid to join them, Jay was holding Nya's hand, caressing it as he could feel the slight shaking from what he held. The Master of Ice soon arrived and Jay could already sense the tension with the Master of Water. 

"What have you called me for, Jay?" 

"Can you do a quick x-ray scan on Nya's left shoulder. I think it might be dislocated or something." Jay told his humble friend. 

He smiled, "Of course. Nya, may I look at your shoulder for a moment? I just need to get more of a clear scan for my processors." 

The raven nodded and pulled the sleeve on her left arm off again for Zane to scan. Taking a moment, the blue ray stopping skimming over the heavily bruised skin. The nindroid took a second before informing them, "It seems you have not only dislocated your shoulder, but have a small fracture on your clavicle and your acromion. I would suggest that you go to the hospital just to get the proper treatment, but I believe you would only need a sling for a couple weeks and you'll be fine." 

Jay thanked his fellow ninja has Zane escorted himself out. The Master of Lightning gave his attention back to his girlfriend, "I'll go ahead and make an appointment." 

"I don't need to go to the doctor, Jay." Nya pouted. 

She seemed to be too late as Jay has already dialed in the number to make the appointment. His girlfriend glared at him, like daggers digging into his soul. Scary right?

"Nya."

"Jay."

"Nya."

"Jay Bear."

"Nya."

"Oh come on, not even a nickname back-"

"You're going." 

She groaned in defeat, slumping her back on the bed. Jay shook his head at his girlfriend's hissy fit in a little bit of amusement. 

The next day, Jay and Nya arrived back from the hospital with Nya in a navy blue sling holding her left arm. And almost in an instant, Kai was running up to the pair freaking out like the porcupine he is. 

"Why didn't you tell me! And you told him of all people-"

"He's my boyfriend, Kai. Besides he basically found out on his own."

Zane then added, "I also knew about it."

"You told Zane too!" 

Jay wrapped an arm around the raven's waist, "I was the one that asked him to clarify something. Also Lloyd was the only person that truly knew what happened and didn't tell us. If anything you should blame him for all this." Jay said, putting all the drama on the one and only Lloyd Garmadon. 

His head practically on fire, Kai rushed into the monastery to find the boy in green to give a piece of his mind. Nya laughed at her boyfriend's antics, "I can't believe he felt for that." 

"Still questioning how he raised you for most of your life." 

"We lived in a trash can for half of it thanks to his bargaining deals." Nya groaned, remembering the nights where someone would throw their leaking garbage on the siblings, making them smell like pigs the next day. 

 "What about your bargaining deals?" 

"Got everything for five dollars or less every time." She grinned proudly. 

Jay kissed her cheek, "Now do you remember what the doctor told you?" 

Nya rolled her eyes, "No training." 

"And?"

"No darts." She mumbled.

I have been wanting to do this one-shot for a while soooo here it is! I just hate plot holes XD. Anyway, hope y'all are doing well! Everything is a little crazy right now, but we will get through this together! 

Also for those of you that have not seen my recent pin on the conversation board, I am considering making an art book. Right now I am planning on going through with the idea, I just have no clue what or who to draw lol. If y'all have any suggestion on who/what I should draw please leave some ideas in the comments. (It is Ninjago theme of course =))
