chapter 24- Dr.Alaa
After all of this I finally decided I needed someone to talk to someone who would just listen my side of the story and won't judge me. I decided to go to an psychologist. Her name is Alaa and she is an African American lady. She is pretty famous here.
I entered the lobby and walked into her clinic. The receptionist smiled and showed me the way. I went inside and the cold air brushed my hair and I looked at Alaa. She was a beautiful woman with light brown eyes and straight black hair. She told me to sit down and start the session.
"My life has been very weird. It's not like I am unhappy, I have great friends and family who always have my back. But, somedays you need someone else to tell you who you actually are. I feel I have left so many things behind that my future is totally blank. My mind tells me there is something I need to know, something that goes back, goes back into the past...goes back to where I belong. I feel it's so much more to my past I have left. I don't know what to do and I don't know where to go. How to start a new thing where I don't know how to end the old ones?"
After the session, the only thing I got to understand was that I had to let my past go. I had to solve things with many people.
Kevin.
