After what felt like decades

I am now on this bleached bed

Commemorating my old friends

And the time we had spent for ages

I look up at the shimmering stars

And find my mates hiding in them

And wonder what place will I be in

When I too am merged in the mist

The wrinkles show my inability

And the tubes show all my weakness

The light that's lit up in the room

Seems a bit more brightened than on normal days

After what felt like decades

I am no more on this bleached bed

I find the light melt in the dark

And what seems like nothing left

Some of my dear ones still besides

While others are waiting with the stars

For me to fade
