Chapter 29 Plan
Katie grinned as she prepared to tell her adventurous story, "Before the demons decided to finally get some shut eye, I was forming a plan to escape them. It was a plan that made me unsure if it would actually work or not. They acted like was not up to anything. I wanted to be as good as I can be for them, and I think it worked. They didn't bring me any punishments for once, and it felt good."
"Once they finally fell asleep, I knew that I had a small window of opportunity so I can come and join you all tonight. I made sure there were no footsteps nearby me, and I got out of bed. I grabbed everything I needed, and opened the window. I was scared that my window would be too loud, and that my parents would catch me leaving or something."
Maggie was eager to hear everything that Katie was telling them. She was interested and intrigued by everything, "Did they wake up and find you? What happened? I wanna know!"
Katie laughed softly, "Don't worry. I'm getting there," she shook her head and shrugged. "No, they didn't hear me or see me. At least, not what I know of," she laughed softly. "I mean, I made it somehow here, didn't I?"
Maggie giggled, "That's true. You can keep going. Sorry if I interrupted you."
Katie giggled, "You're good," she thought about it for a moment. "Now, where was I?"
"You were about to leave your house by opening the window," Thomas stated with a small smile.
Katie grinned, "Thanks, Thomas," she nodded as she was ready to continue now. "As I made sure the ghost was clear, I hopped onto my window, hoping to fit through it. I'm still glad that the window is big enough for me to fit through, or else I would have been stuck there for awhile," she giggled softly, which made her friends chuckle and giggle as well. She continued, "As I hopped out, I had to focus on my landing, and I've been practicing it too. Usually, when I would land, I would land anywhere but my feet, which resulted in a lot of injuries. Some of these injuries my demons have found and I was abused because of it."
She shook her head, "I'm getting distracted. Anyway, once I landed, I landed on my feet. I don't know how or why, but I did. I couldn't believe it. All of the years I've been practicing, I finally conquered my fear and land without hurting myself all that much. Then I ran. Ran as fast as I could out of there, hiding when needed, and ending up here. I know it isn't as exciting as many stories, but I felt like I accomplished something for once in my life," she clapped her hands together. "So that's the story. Hope it was at least decent."
They all grinned as Thomas was the one that spoke up, "That was wonderful, Katie. Don't worry about it. I thought it was awesome."
"Yeah! Me too!" Maggie giggled.
Nick chuckled softly, "I agree with the others, that was impressive. Not everyone gets to do what you do. Sometimes it's dangerous, but it makes an interesting life story to tell. That's for sure."

Katie grinned, laughing mentally. She didn't realize how long she had been out in her own little dream world. All she heard was laughter and joy. Though she couldn't tell who it was from, and where it was coming from. All she knew that she felt warm inside, and that's what mattered to her the most.
"Katie? You okay?" Thomas looked down at her worriedly. He gently moved some hair out of her face.
Katie nodded silently. She glanced up at Thomas, but couldn't look him directly in the eyes. Her smile faded, and realized that she had no idea if she was alright or not. I don't know what to say. Why am I suddenly sad? I was so happy a moment ago. Is it just me, my hormones, or something else? Something that might be keeping me from finally feeling whole on the inside.
Thomas didn't take his eyes off of her, "There's something wrong. I can tell."
Katie finally looked up at him, "How can you tell?" She was curious of what he had to say.
"I can see it in your eyes. You might not see it in yourself, but your eyes glow. In fact, you glow all together."
"Am I still glowing?" He now had her full attention.
"Not as much as normal, no. That's when I know something's up. You seem down and distracted. I can tell something is on your mind. One minute you were grinning your ears off, the next, you're just blankly staring at nothing."
Katie sighed, not knowing how to explain what she was feeling. She shook her head, "I-I don't know... I wish I could answer that question for you, Thomas..." She looked up at him and shook her head again. "I just... I'm so confused, and I don't know what to do anymore. There are so many good things that I remember, but other memories are just terrible. I feel lost and confused about if I'm doing anything right. I've been confused for awhile now."
Thomas looked at her, setting her down in a nearby seat, and he sat next to her, "How come you've never told me this before?" He dimmed his audio and tone.
She constantly shook her head as if she was a broken tape, "I-I..." she curled into a ball, and pain rushed through her from what happened to her earlier. She gritted her teeth, regretting her decision. That rainfall won't come now. Don't let it come down now. It's not time yet... Later, okay? "I was afraid of what you would say, and what you would think of me. I just-" she had no idea how to explain what she was feeling into sentences; words no less, and let Thomas understand. "I just thought that you might think of me differently. That maybe... Maybe you wouldn't want to be my friend anymore. That none of you would."
Thomas sighed as he wrapped his arm around her back, "You know that we would never leave you no matter what happened, right? Remember when we made that oath to each other? Well, this is where it's gonna take place right now. We are never going to leave you, Katie."
Katie looked at him, but felt like she couldn't believe him no matter what he tried to do. There was this voice in her head that constantly was beating her in ways that she could never imagine. Her parents were nothing compared to the demons that lived in her head. Nothing.

She searched around the area, knowing exactly where to go.
"It's all clear," a lower pitched female voice replied in her comms.
"Good," the boss stated simply. "Let's get him out of there."
"Are you sure that we will be able to do this?" The other female companion asked hesitantly.
The boss smirked, "Oh, it'll work. Trust me."
They nodded as she placed an IDENTITY TAG faced forward onto a scanner. After a few seconds, the scanner clicked by making a few buzzing noises indicating that the door was opened, and that they could roam free inside.
She chuckled once, "Let's go, laddies."
The three girls walked inside the building. They knew what they wanted to find, and they were planning on finding it whatever it took just to steal it back.
"So, like, what does he look like again?" One of the females asked in a higher pitched voice. She threw off her hood to reveal curly brown hair, and excessive makeup. She giggled, "I bet he's hot."
One of the other girls threw her hood off to reveal short black hair. She rolled her eyes, "Who cares about that crap?"
The brunette flipped her hair to her back with a huff, "Well I do. I like hot guys, cause they're hot."
The raven haired girl sighed, "That's a really stupid excuse to like guys."
"Don't you like guys?"
"Not like you. Unlike you, I don't have time for love. I never have and never will."
"You're just saying that because you don't like. Was it because of your-"
The blacked haired girl grabbed the brunette forcefully as she started her dead in the eye, "If you dare try to mention that name, I will kill you... Without hesitation."
The brown haired girl struggled to break free, but couldn't, "Okay, okay! I get it! You hate love, and you hate him! Understandable. I promise to not bother you about it anymore as long as I live."
"As long as you live," the raven girled glared, repeating her allies' statement. She refused to let her go.
"Let her go, NAME! Now!" The blonde had taken off her hood, and her eyes pierced into her companion's. "We don't have time for any drama between you two right now! We are here to get my boyfriend out, and that's all!"
NAME rolled her eyes as she dropped the helpless girl to the ground, "Whatever. I hate her anyway," she started to walk away to where their leader was. "So, where is your little boyfriend at?"
"Down this hallway to the right? Did you make sure you disabled all of the cameras?"
NAME smirked, "You know it," she held up a gun in case they needed to beat any guards to the ground. It also gave her an excuse to carry a weapon because of how much she loved guns and any sort of weapons.
The blonde nodded, "Good. This should be quick and easy if we do this right. We cannot mess up this mission or it ends bad for all of us. Are we clear about that?" She looked at both girls, making sure they understood her directions.
They both nodded without saying any more.
The blonde chuckled softly, "I'm glad you both understand. I would be worried if you both didn't understand. You both remember the plan as well I assume?"
Again, they both nodded.
"Good. Then let's keep our plan moving, girls. We're almost there," she started walking with her teammates followed her lead. She felt prepared, and knew that this was going to work. Once they finally reached another door, she knocked on it.
"Who is it?" Asked a male voice.
"We're some of the new guards. We are here to pay for one of the prisoners that is locked up here."
"You need to set an appointment, and need permission to cash your money."
"We do have permission. We have been allowed to contact the prisoner, and he stated that we are allowed to break him out."
"Do you have the money with you?"
"Yep. $500 in check. No more. No less."
"Show me," he demanded of the girls.
The blonde searched her bag and brought her wallet. She then pulled out a check that had $500 on it, "Is this enough proof?"
He opened the door for them with an expressionless face, "You three are allowed to enter. Follow me."
She smirked, "Yes, sir."
