"I can't believe that I'm helping you guys with this," said Lam as he keeps making the paper roses.

"Come on, Nong Lam. It's not daily that Ming asks for favors," stated Kao sweetly.

"Yup. This is the first time," added Pete while giving Kao a knowing look.

"If it was supposed to be a surprise third-month anniversary gift for Kit, then why is he helping out here as well?" asked Lam, confused.

Pete doesn't have an answer for that. He looked at Kao for help. Luckily Kao prepared a response for this, in case Lam gets suspicious of their surprise event.

"Well.....That's the prank plan plus a surprise Nong Lam. Now focus on the flowers. We don't have much time," Kao diverted him as he glared at Pete for almost spoiling their plan.

The cold prince of engineering and the supposed-to-be bodyguards are preparing the decoration stuff while Phana and Kit are making the cake in the engineering campus cafeteria's kitchen.

"Pha....enough. You're going to over-decorate it. Park and Beam will kill you if you spoil this cake," warned Kit as he snatched the decoration crumbs from him.

"A little bit more and, this cake will be ready. I can't believe that I did this," exclaimed Phana excitedly.

"Huh-hum," Kit makes sounds like clearing his throat while look at Phana with raised brows.

"Okay.....You made the cake and, I decorated it," Phana said as he side hugged Kit.

The great Phana can be silly sometimes too. Kit could laugh at his child-like behavior. He took a photo of their hard work and sent it to Beam for confirmation.

Park could be picky when it comes to Lam and, Beam could be damn angry if someone sabotages his event plans.

"I can't believe I sacrificed my weekend date with P'Kit Kat for this. I was supposed to be with my boyfriend protecting him," grumbled Ming while stomping his feet in disagreement.

Park has been dragging Forth and Ming from shop to shop to get a perfect gift for Lam. He doesn't have to force Beam since he is voluntarily following him around.

"Listen to him, Ming. P'Pete and P'Kao will take care of P'Kit. As soon as we finish here, we can go back to our boys," replied Wayo as he was helping them chose the gift as well.

"That's right, Nong Ming. I'm the best friend of your direct senior. If you don't want any troubles in class, you better help me here," added Park with a friendly smile which was not pleasant at all. It's more creepy.

"No bullying, Park," informed Forth which, was received with, "Says the head hazer," from Beam.

"Beam, you are supposed to support me in this. I don't want to help this lovesick freak and that cold-hearted brat at the campus," complained Forth with a pouty lip.

"There, there, baby. I'm not teasing you. I'm having fun here.

They are your best friends. Let's help them, shall we?" consoled Beam while hugging his boyfriend.

Let's make it clear. It was not the preparation for Kit and Ming's third-month anniversary celebration.

Today is Lam's birthday. That so-called cold prince doesn't care much about birthdays or anniversaries. So, he tends to forget his own birthdays sometimes. Therefore, Park decided to make a surprise birthday event for his boyfriend.

The part where Lam is helping out in his own birthday celebration is Beam's idea. That was the only way to ditch him there. Plus, Beam decided to prank him for fun.

It's still a wonder that how Beam and Lam haven't killed each other. Beam annoys the hell out of Lam at any chance he gets to enjoy the cold-prince lose control of his poker face.

Then, Lam will revenge him by keeping Forth busy for weeks. It's either their extra lab works or his planned volunteer works to keep the head hazer on campus till late at night.

But somehow, they mingle just fine, which surprises Park and Forth the most.

"Park, the cake is ready. Take a look," Beam said as he showed the result sent by Kit.

"Amazing. I already found the perfect gift for Lam. Let's get back to the campus," announced Park happily.

"Finally...." exclaimed Forth mockingly.

"What did you get for P'Lam, P'Park?" asked Wayo.

"Secret," replied Park as he walked away.

Forth could only shake his head in dissatisfaction while Beam smile at Wayo and Ming's betrayed look.

It was a regular Saturday morning.

There were no extra-curricular activities volunteer works from any faculties. The whole campus is empty.

The engineering students are either in the dungeon or left for home, while the other faculty students will spend their day in pubs or libraries.

It leaves only Lam and the gang preparing for the surprise event. What they don't realize is that there are intruders on their campus again.

The intruders got into the engineering faculty. But this time, they didn't make their major appearance. They stayed hidden till the correct time.

"Ming will be here with others in a few minutes. Let's get to our spot," ordered Phana.

Pete and Kao were having so much fun pranking the poor Lam that they let their guard down.

"Lam, you stand here while we go bring the cake," said Pete as he left with Kao to get Kit and the cake.

"Give me a reasonable reason for why I'm standing in the middle of the heart-shaped rose petals," stated Lam with gritted teeth.

"It's a prank for Kit, remember? Stay here for a while, please," begged Phana as he walked away to make a call as planned.

"Oi Phana, don't leave me alone here......It's weird," shouted Lam.

Well, the last part slowly, though.

He is standing in the middle of the empty hazing hall, all by himself. It's awkward. But, he waited nonetheless.

"Where's Lam? Is everything ready?" asked Beam as soon as he reached the campus.

"All is ready as you instructed, Beam. P'Pete and P'Kao will monitor from above and will play the music. Wayo and I will enter after you and Forth. We will enter singing birthday songs after Park. Once Park presents the special gift, Kit will bring in the cake," explained Phana.

"Okay. Ming, you will go in first and talk to Lam. Remember, you should act as if you're damn nervous about this," stated Beam excitedly.

"I guess I don't have to act, P'Beam. I am damn nervous. This plan feels like a suicide mission," complained Ming.

"Don't worry, Lam won't kill you," advised Beam which, was not helpful.

"I'll save you if that's the case," added Forth with an assuring smile.

Ming went in after looking at Kit's comforting pat.

"I'll be right behind you," said Kit by lip movement towards Ming and, he left them to reach the hazing hall.

"Ready?"

"I'm ready," replied Park as he marched in.

It's just a surprise event, but the boys act like it was a secret mission.

"WHY FUCK ARE YOU LATE??!!" shouted Lam as soon as he saw Ming.

"I was nervous, P'Lam. What if my P'Kit Kat doesn't like surprises? Do you like it?" Ming tried to pry the information.

He needs to be ready, just in case the plan was a flop.

"Even if he doesn't like it, he won't be mad at you. He will appreciate your efforts. Don't worry," consoled Lam when he noticed how tense Ming was.

"You won't be mad as well?" he asked again.

"Yeah, I won't be mad too. Events like this are too much work and too much effort. How could I probably be mad at someone who is trying to please me?" said Lam as look at the nervous-looking Ming.

Ming felt secured with that reply from Lam. Now he can play his role in this surprise event without a single worry.

Suddenly the lights of the halls were dimly lit and, the spotlight pointed at the heart petals decoration in the center-right after 10 minutes.

Ming slowly walked out of the center decoration and made Lam stay in it.

"Why are you walking out?" even before Lam could finish his question, Park walked as he sang a birthday song.

Forth and the others followed behind him.

Lam was too shocked to respond. He delivers the confused face Beam loves. The cold prince's poker face was funny with frowns.

"Happy birthday, my love.

Lam, I know you don't like surprises or birthday events. But I wanted to do this for you. I wanted to show you my love, Lam.

Will you accept my gift?" asked Park as he presented a pair of couple rings when he reaches the center. The inner part of the rings has an engraving of L💗P and P💗L.

Lam was quiet for quite some time which leaves Park in tension.

"Is this too much? Did I made you mad?" questioned Park worriedly.

Everybody was on their feet. They prepared so much and hoped for this surprise event to be a success. As Beam and Forth were about to support Park, Lam did the unexpected.

He pulled Park into a kiss. Lam hates to display public affection. Today was the first time he intentioned a kiss in public.

"I may not showcase my affection for you, but I love you more than I love myself, Park," stated Lam when he parted away from Park's lips.

Lam kneeled in front of Park as he took the rings from Park's palm.

"I love you, Park," confessed Lam once again as he put the rings on Park's finger.

Pete played the romantic song Park picked beforehand from the monitor room.

Park carried Lam as he spins in circles. Lam surprised Park with his confession. It was Lam's birthday, but Park received the best gift ever.

Forth and Beam were genuinely happy for the couple. Even Phana clapped loudly for them while Ming and Wayo were flabbergasted by Park's gift.

Why did he drag them into every single shop in the mall to choose a gift if Park planned to buy the rings in the first place? He could walk into a jewelry shop and get it done in mere minutes. Not all the afternoon.

Ming was so ready to complain about this to his P'Kit Kat. He texted Kit to reach there soon with the cake. That way, they could ditch this surprise event fast.

Back in the cafeteria's kitchen,

Kit read the text from Ming. His boyfriend could be childish sometimes. Okay, most of the time. He loves that side of him anyway.

Kit put his phone into his back pocket as he was about to pick up the cake. But suddenly, his nose was covered with some cloth by someone.

Kit felt dizzy and sleepy as soon as he smelled it. The cloth had a high concentration of some scent which made him weak on the knees. Even though he wants to fight back them, he couldn't. Slowly, he surrendered to the pitch black and fainted into the arms of the intruders.

Ming got worried when Kit didn't reach the hazing hall after reading his text and, it was 15 minutes ago. Even Pete and Kao have joined them at the hazing hall. But the former didn't.

'It can't take that long to reach the hazing hall?

Did something happened to him?'

Ming pondered in worry.

He left the celebration to get his P'Kit Kat and the cake by himself after noting Wayo about it. If something's wrong, he needs at least one of them to know about his whereabouts.

Ming quickly runs towards the cafeteria without wasting any time. Maybe P'Kit got distracted with a phone call of something. Nothing serious could've happened. He wanted to stay optimistic without making any rushed assumptions. But what waits for him was the lonely birthday cake and a note beside it.
