"Why would you want to add Utell flower to this?" Karkat argues, glaring at the pot containing the potion.

"Because, I'm testing a new potion," Sollux rolls his eyes, "small amounts should be able to heal large wounds."

"Should?"

Sollux rubs his temples, "it's a test, you idiot."

Karkat just rolls his eyes, crossing his arms with a huff.

"Well, I told Kanaya I'd meet her for lunch," Karkat tells Sollux, "I hope that potion gives you donkey ears."

Sollux snickers sarcastically as Karkat slams the door behind him.

As Karkat walks out of the house, he nearly bumps into Feferi. She gives a friendly greeting before knocking on Sollux's door.

Karkat continues on his way, ignoring the other villagers as he finds Kanaya's house. He doesn't even knock on the door as enters, coming to Kanaya and Vriska arguing. They both turn to look back over at Karkat, Vriska letting out a huff.

"Well, that's my cue to leave." And with that she leaves, a grin tugging on her lips.

There's a short silence.

"Now, are you ready for lunch?" Kanaya asks.

"Yeah, sure." Karkat nods, walking over to the table and taking a seat.

Rose meows as she hops up onto Karkat's lap, making herself comfortable.

"So Rose is really staying with you."

"Yeah, she seems to really like me." Kanaya hums, sitting the roast onto the table.

"Well, you better be prepared to clean up all of that fluff."

A black crow swoops along the sky, looking down at the trees below. He flies down, landing on a window sill nearly falling over the other side.

"There you are Dave, I was wondering when you'd come back."

He lets out a caw before hopping down onto the bed and hopping across it.

You smile, petting the small creature's head.

It had been about a month since you had defeated the Grand High Blood. Gamzee was locked up and the citizens had taken over and were now running the kingdom. After the attack you had been stuck asleep for two weeks, and now you couldn't leave your bed.

"(Y/n), are you-"

Eridan's sentence drifts off when he sees you awake, Dave cuddled up to you. He smiles and walks over to the bed.

You look up at him, smiling, "good morning."

Eridan leans down, pressing a kiss to your forehead.

"Good morning," Eridan responds, "so, do you want to go out to the garden?"

You nod, grinning excitedly.

You pick up Dave as Eridan moves the blanket away from your legs. He picks you up and heads outside. He sits you down on the grass, the large exotic flowers surrounding you both.

You sit Dave down and lean against Eridan, taking a deep breath of the fresh air.

"Thank you for everything," you sigh, "I don't know what would have happened if I hadn't met you."

You move your head from Eridan's shoulder, cupping the side of his face with one hand. You lean forward and pull him in for a kiss. You feel Eridan smile before pulling away.

"And I don't know what my life would've been if I hadn't of met you."

You giggle, "well, I guess we both needed each other."

You lean against Eridan once more, fingers twining together as the other pets Dave's head.

"I love you, (y/n)."

You smile, closing your eyes.

"I love you too, Eridan."
