They made Reader-Chan, a toxic bitch in the Boyfriend scenarios

"(Y/N)! How could you yell at her!? She didn't mean to do that!" Your boyfriend, Ryan, yelled at you.

You were sick and tire of Ryan hanging out with Peggy, closest friend than spending time with you. You two wouldn't go on a proper date unless you two run into Peggy or Ryan wanting to invite Peggy over for all three of you to hang out.

"She was being annoying! She wouldn't leave us alone!" You scoffed, rolling your eyes.

"You didn't have to yell at her and insult her like that, what's wrong with you?" He hiss.

"Guys... Please don't fight... I'm sorry (Y/N), i didn't mean to be such a nuisance to you... I didn't mean to get in between you two." Peggy sniffed before turning and running away.

"Peggy, no... Wait!" Ryan call out, about to go after her till he heard you yelling at him.

"RYAN! Just let her go, why do you care for her anyway? Last i check, she isn't your girlfriend." You scoffed.

He narrow his eyes in anger. "What is your fucking problem? Ever-since you met Peggy, you become different. You are mean, cruel and possessive over me."

"I wouldn't act this way if you started to hang out with me some more! All you ever seem to care about is Peggy!" You cry out, tears already forming at the corner of your eyes.

"(Y/N), I care for you too but Peggy is my friend, I care about you guys. I don't see why you have to be so jealous of Peggy, she is just a friend and I have enough room for everyone to love...." Ryan try to reach out to you but you only slap his hand away, glaring at him.

"But I'm your GIRLFRIEND/BOYFRIEND, if they are THAT important to you then I guess I aren't important to you." You sneer before walking away, tears pouring from your eyes.

I think you guys know what's the problem with this. I just hate how in almost every boyfriend scenarios is that (Y/N) is a jealous toxic girlfriend/boyfriend to their significant others.

I get that if writers wanna have the reader be a toxic person and all but I believe there should be major consequences for the reader themselves. Instead of writing the boyfriend/girlfriend going back to (Y/N), have them break up with (Y/N) and have (Y/N) realize how toxic they are being and trying to make up for it.

I just hate how a toxic (Y/N) isn't facing consequences of their actions and is just forgiven after what they have done. Not to mention this sort of writing kinda gives messages to people that toxic relationships is okay when really, it isn't.
