Barkpaw's ears straightened as he paddled closely to the entrance. The strong smell of herbs filled his nose and he could hear his loud heartbeat. 

"Soon...done..."

"Easy...kill..."

The voices were unclear and Barkpaw took a deep breath. He wished that he could see the shadows of her mind. He wished he could see how it moved, how it was operated. The fear that truth has reigned over him was ebbing, not fully under control, but reduced little by little.

He could do it if he tried to.

A wave of courage washed over him and it knocked the sanity out of him. The courage found him as his tail rose, his eyes lit with fire. He walked closer. He felt confident. He has never felt like that. He knew that he could stop every bad thing from happening and he would be the one who saved the world. He was not the one who limped anymore, he would be the hero that everyone admired.

As he was ready to enter the den with his eyes staring firmly into the darkness, he heard a call, "What are you doing?"

He cursed under his breath about his bad luck as he turned his head, surprised to see a small white she-cat with pale russet-red splotches. Her emerald green eyes were shining as Barkpaw asked quietly, "C-Cherrychaser?"

"Yes, son," she purred, "tell me your thoughts before you do anything foolish."

>> tell her what you think, Cherrychaser is your mother and maybe she can offer help

Thanks for waiting patiently for this update. I miss writing Medicine and I will try and update daily but no promises! It is the brain game time, let's see who you will trust! If Barkpaw dies, the game will end. So, the main goal is to keep Barkpaw alive

I am planning on killing some cats, so think about your dare so you can have fun torturing me. Whoever's character dies can give me a dare, yea. I will regret it soon in the darkest part of future
