you always kept
me and my bros'
up, talking,
laughing

oh how sweet
those days were
of eternal bliss

carelessness
and carefree
children laughing,
playing

oh it feels
like only
yesterday

since I heard
your voice
when I came
to visit you

visit you on those
continuous one
month visits

we were continents
apart, vast
oceans separated us
yet still you never forgot

and I swear
to you
I swear

i will always
remember you
even if it's the
last thing I do

you never cried, never moaned,
always grateful for
the very little that you had.

i wish I had
your patience and
willpower
