Chapter 10 Cider POV

I look up and a giant lightning is trying to hit me, I try to run but everything's in slow motion, just like in the movies. I'm then hit with a loud whoosh but I actually open up my eyes, but instead of being in my room, I'm in a dark room. I try to move my arms but they're in what's like a straight jacket? I'm not mentally crazy! I move my head looking around to see nothing besides concrete walls, the springy bed, and the door. Suddenly a creaking sound happens, and someone with a black mask opens the door. I try to lean as far as I can away but it seemed like I was on the wall. As if his crazy looking mask wasn't scary enough he reaches for my arm.

"Welcome Glacier," wait how does he know my name? I walk with him, for I really couldn't see because my hair was over my eyes. When then reach a business like room and he sits me on a chair, taking off the straight jacket but chaining me to the chair. The mysterious figure walks toward the edge of the door, when somebody opens another door, it was a group of about four and they all wore something as disguise. Only one looked like a girl, she has a half mask covering down to her cheek bones and had a few weapons. They all look at me, their smug looks just want to make break this chain and attack them, showing them I'm not a total wimp. Then a man walks in, he has dark clothes on and the group of four bow.

"I see we have a visitor with us, Glacier we have a proposition for you," the man says, I feel my arm wanting to break the chain but I haven't had a out burst since I was eighteen, I gotta keep it under control.

"Sir what is the weak little girl going in the mighty Killers?" asks one of the guys, he has a mostly grey mask with a horse shoe on the majority of it. His voice sound very familiar.... it can't be him!

"Oh I would differ Iron, for she's Entiny's daughter," the most be boss says, the four people have shock written on them. Who? I look at him with confusion.

"What are you talking about? I know no one named Entiny!" I say, he chuckles and I feel myself getting tired.

"You've always had your mother's spirit, even though you don't remember her," My mother? She left before I was one, my grandparents always told me that she had been a trouble maker when dad was dating her and once they accidently got pregnant she left and my father soon dissapeared.

"How do you know my mother?" I ask,

"Well I taught the best student before she went after your father, how is he?" he asks, I bite my lip for I know it has been years but this was what I knew, my grandparents only told me what they wanted to.

"He dissapeared when I was three," I breath, feeling a tear go down my cheek.

"Oh look she's crying!" exclaims one of the guys, he has a white mask on his face, very classic. I feel my eyes fire up and he steps back. I look back at the man and he has a humorous gleam in his eyes.

"If we unchain you will you try to book it?" he asks, I nod my head no and he points to the black veiled guy, when my left wrist is finally not squeezed. When I move my hair away the three guys stop talking. The guy explains that the only reason they're doing the kidnappings is because a super virius is going through human and they are trying to extract it. The only reason the dead people have come up because they fought or they were too far for us to save them. They haven't exactly said what my purpose is but I'm giving them time.

"What does this have to do with me, I'm not trained in whatever I have," I say, looking at my hands. I can tell one of the guys keeps staring at me, he is wearing a detailed mask.

"It's called Epowerments. Plus you are trained in ninjutzu and your a very good shooter. Glacier your mother when she was younger didn't think she could be a leader so she ran away, and met your father, his descendents are fire while your mother is a ice." he says, so I ended a fulbred ice tree? Great, I'm such a ruiner.

"I'm so confused," I stutter out, the man motions to black veiled guy and I end up in a new cell, it's more like a apartment with no escape beside the guarded door. I lay on the non-used bed, thinking about everything and everyone. I wonder what all my friends are doing, Worrying? Ignoring? Grieving? I can't stand the thought of making my friends worry about me. After what feels a eternity the girl from the conference walking in with two plates of food and two cups following.

"Sorry I didn't get to introduce myself, for Head Chief there was very close to your family." she says laughing. "My code name is Sneak but my real name is Michelle," she says setting the food on the table next to my bed.

"I'm Glacier but I go by Cider," she seems a little unsettled after I said my name, like I had unbalanced something. We talk about random stuff until another girl walks in, she's wearing a cute cat mask on with a red eye.

"Hey Michelle I think I'm just going to go pass out," she says ignoring me.

"Ok goodnight Kristen," she says to the girl, walking to a back bedroom. "CIder I know you'll make the best decision, training starts at nine," she says walking to her bed going to bed, her face turned to the wall. I lean and fall slowly into the dark sleep.
After a few hours I wake up and Michelle and Kristen are sitting at the table, eating some breakfast.
"Morning," I say stretching as much as I could in this tight shirt and pants.
"This is Kristen Cider. Cider this is my girlfriend Kristen, she's a scientist here." Michelle says, when the black veiled guy walks in, he has a box in his hands. "Good to see you too Gunner, I'm guessing that's Cider's new uniform," Michelle says, Gunner setting it on the bench at the end of my bed.
"Yeah," he says smally before returning to his position. I open the box to see a mix of blues and reds, with a mask half fire half ice. Michelle's outfit is dark purple and green, she's still wearing her mask.
"Why do you guys where your masks around each other, don't you guys know each other?" I ask, Michelle shrugs.
"It's just until we can fully trust you, then you can see us, until then we wear them," Kristen says, her outfit is orange and dark red, and she has a metal box with the medical symbol on it.
"Oh ok," I say, going to the bathroom changing into it, it fit me just right and the mask was cool but still warm. I wonder if Liz is here, she was kidnapped a few weeks ago.... I take the mask off and put on a black beanie, for it was still more comfortable than the mask.
"Hey Cider we need to go to training," Minx finishes and we leave the room.
