Lucy

I can't remember who I am. Or this place that these people keep me. The chains they put on my wrist made my skin raw to the core. The daily beatings that made my suffering greater would come when I hear the footsteps outside the rusty steel door that was locked inside and out. I could see their shadows from the steel bar walls, almost like they were mocking in a way.

I've haven't had an actual meal in a long time. Only moldy bread and my saliva was my lunch. Or dinner? The room I was trapped in didn't have a window for me to look out at. It was always dark until the door open to let the people in to hurt me. I never knew why I was here or how I ended up here. It's so hard to think when I can feel my brain pulse from the pain that I want to remember. I want to know who I am. I want to know why I was taken here.

Who am I?

Natsu

We've been at war with the dark guild Shattered Souls when they took Lucy. Lucy was taken right in front of all the guild members when their leader, Sol, took all of us down, even Erza was defeated by him. Lucy though, she didn't stop fighting even when she was battered from his attacks, and I couldn't help her. It's been a year since the last time I saw her, and Fairy Tail will finally take back our nakama.

And I'm ready to get my wife back from them.

Lucy

"Suffer you little runt! Suffer your punishment!" I was kicked in my already broken ribs that sent me into the cobble wet walls of my cell. The chains rattled and stopped me from running out, but didn't stopped my misery. The men in their black robes always tortured me at this time. For the longest I've been here it was this specific moment where they would unleash hell onto me, and I don't know why. "P-please! S-stop!" I cried covering my already bruised and messed up face from any more damage. Someone took ahold of my hair. "Sol needs to get rid of this mutt! What'd you say kid? Are you ready to finally die?" I was slapped and kicked back down to the cold floor. The men snickered as one grabbed my throat, hoisting me up and slamming me on the wall.

I can't breath...

Flashes of my memories came before me, only showing me the days passing by in this cell. I want to remember who I am. I want to know who my family was. I tried scratching the unknown man, but was failing to fight back. I was beginning to get lightheaded. All was going dark.

No...

I don't want...

"Night night, Fairy."

To die...

All of a sudden the whole room shook. The man let me go, my body suddenly falling back down to the floor. I inhaled for air not caring about the excruciating pain around my neck. The man beside him cursed. "Dammit! Do you think they finally found us?!" The two men all of a sudden looked frightened. "N-no! That's not possible! We left Fiore to make sure they didn't find us!"

"WHERE IS SHE!?"

That voice... "Oh shit! We're screwed now!" Both mages left without even locking the door. I grew confused. Why were they scared of that voice? Is it someone that's more powerful? The room shook again, some pieces of the stone on the roof fell with a thud. I began to pull against the chains, worried I was going to be drowned by rocks if I didn't escape. "WHERE IS MY WIFE!?" Who is that voice? Why is my heart beating uncontrollably? Is it fear of this voice?

"Go find her Natsu! We'll take care of them!"

Natsu...his name sounds familiar. I didn't see the stone falling until it landed right on my foot. The unimaginable pain sent my nerves flying when I let out a horrific scream.

I couldn't stop. Everything was hurting.

"LUCY!"

I don't know who this person is, but please, please I beg he helps me. A silhouette of a person was in front of me, staring at me through the steel bars. The next second it barged through the metal door almost melting it. The person kneeled beside me. I closed my eyes, scared to meet my death. "Luce..." A hand gently put itself on my face, I thrashed around screaming. "P-please don't h-hurt m-m-me!" I begged trying to kick the man away when I realized my foot was still crushed under the large stone. I let out a wail knowing this was the end for me. "Lucy, baby I'm here. It's me, Natsu!"

This man named Natsu, caressed my cheek tenderly. "I'm not going to hurt you. I would never hurt you." His words, why do I suddenly feel like I can trust him. Like, I should know this man. "Luce, do you remember me?" He asked softly in my ear.

My head, it hurts so badly.

"N-no." I cried still praying he wasn't going to hurt me. I looked into his eyes, to see pain searing inside them, like a flame growing more hungry. Was it something I said? Is he going to hurt me now? "NATSU HURRY!" Natsu cursed, getting up and going around the stone. "This is going to hurt, but I need to get it off you." With ease Natsu picked the stone up, throwing it across the tiny cell. I was too astounded to scream from the weight that was lifted off my foot. Natsu rushed back breaking the chains off the wall. "C'mon Lucy. I'm getting you out of here."

He's so warm...

Natsu picked me up into his arms, running back out as he held me tightly. I closed my eyes, securing my arms around his neck. "P-please, don't let th-them hurt m-me." I begged to the pink-haired man. I peaked one of my eyes open, now seeing rage inside his irises. "I will never let anyone hurt you again Luce." Natsu vowed running faster to who knows where.

I felt safe. For the first time, in a very, very long time, I felt safe.

We entered what seemed like a large cave. Many mages were fighting against each other, some that I saw were fighting against people I've never seen before.
Or...have I? Natsu ducked over to a large piece of rock that gave people cover if you were behind it. Natsu gently put me down, shushing me to stay calm. "I have to continue fighting Luce, but I'll be back." My body, for some reason, jumped to grab his vest. "Please d-don't leave me!" Natsu was quiet, until he wrapped me in his arms. "I'm gonna make sure you get revenge from those bastards Lucy. They will pay for what they did to you!" He looked down at my face. My horrible, ugly, face. The nice man smiled. "I promised I will always find you no matter how far you are. I vowed to protect you for the rest of my life." He leaned down, and kissed my busted and torn lips.

They were so soft.

They were...warm and...amazing.

Natsu pulled back, caressing my face before running back into the battle that was happening. I peeked above seeing mages that I've known with a soul cutting in half on their skin, whereas others held what seemed like, a fairy with a tail. Or is it a bird? What I didn't understand was how I had the same insignia on my hand. The insignia on my hand was my only comfort during the days of torment and loneliness in the cell. I didn't know why, but I felt as if I was being watched over. I gazed down at it, another memory suddenly impacting me like an iron arrow in the head.

The Guild...
Fairy Tail...

I was in a guild, and Natsu is...is my husband! Gajeel proposed not to long ago to Levy and Gray and Juvia are starting to be more than friends. Erza and Jellal are married as well since he joined Fairy Tail almost two years ago. And the guild, Shattered Souls, took me away. Forced me to forget my entire life because of the torture they did to me. They took away my keys... they took me away from my family, my husband.

All this time, I had a family?

"Hello my little lamb." I turned to my side, seeing Sol, the Master of the Shattered Souls. I was paralyzed when he grabbed my hair, forcing me to fall while he dragged me out behind the rock. I started to scream as if I didn't have tomorrow, which was true. I could be dead any minute if I don't get help.

Fairy Tail will help me though...they came for me, right?

"HEY FAIRIES!" Sol announced pulling me up by my hair. I cried from the pain in my scalp, not having the audacity to fight back. Because the one time I did, ended with me bleeding out for days. I could have died if it weren't for Sol, sadly. "I have your precious nakama right here! Now, if you don't want to see her decapitated, then I say leave before I kill her and the rest of you!" I looked around the room, wailing for the help of one person. The one that I trusted most in times like this.

"NATSU! N-NATSU!!!" I yelled feeling my hair about to be pulled out. "LUCY!" Natsu ran forward his body on fire. "Let her go before I turn you into ashes Sol!" The Dark Master laughed at Natsu. "Now Natsu you don't wish to do that to me! If you do, you'll be taking your wifey's life with me." Natsu's eyes widened in horror, knowing he didn't have the power to do anything.

I was scared, no, frightened to where I could feel Death taking ahold of me. My heart was going to fast for me to handle, everything was turning black like the color of a raven. I let out a cry again.
"J-just do it! It's t-to late f-for me!"

"Shut it!" I felt Sol punch the wind out of me. I let out a loud cough, blood flying like droplets of rain. Then, I was surrounded by the color red. It was a very warm color, some was also yellow and orange. It reminded me of the sun. "LUCY!" Natsu screamed far in the distance. Sol and I were being consumed by fire, but it was a fire that I felt safe in. I sighed, still coughing blood up.

Then...came horrific screams.

As if someone was being burned alive, which someone actually was being burned. Sol let go of my hair, allowing me to fall. But, warm arms were waiting to catch me.

"Lucy! Lucy! Baby please you need to keep breathing." Natsu, was so warm...

I remember now...

I remember...

"Lucy...LUCY!"

You don't know if she's dead or not so this isn't a sad or happy chapter...it's an emotional chapter I guess. Don't worry Lovelies they'll be happier and very sad ones I promise you! I hope you enjoyed my first one-shot!
