"Beam, look at your son?" stated Kit with an amusing smile as he pointed towards Tian and Phana.

'I wonder what did my little troublemaker did this time,' thought Beam as he smiled with a head shake.

They are at the grocery store to get the supplies for the barbecue. Phana, Kit, I with my son are here for half an hour now. Kit and I went to get the wet ingredient while Phana took Tian with him to get the dry ingredients and snacks.

"Look at the cart. Tian has Pha wrapped around his tiny finger," added Kit, now giggling at them.

The cart is full of a lot of snacks. All of them are Tian's favorite, and he is holding a large packet of popcorn using both his hands and body.

"Baby, what's all this?" Beam asked Tian, who is standing beside Phana.

"Tian, tot tnacks (Tian, got snacks)," he replied happily.

"Tian, what did Papa taught you about buying things?" he questioned softly.

"Teed, Tant (Need, Want)," the baby replied, not really sure about his own words.

"Correct, baby. We have to decide if we want this or need this before buying.

Does Tian need these many snacks, or does Tian only want to taste them?" Beam asked again calmly.

Tian thought for few minutes with frowned eyebrows and said that he wanted to try them.

"It's okay to try them. Why don't we take one of everything? Not this many?" Beam gently asked as he ruffles Tian's hair softly.

"Tokay, Papa. Tet's take one (Okay, Papa. Let's take one)," Tian replied happily with his cute little voice.

"Come on, let's return them to its place," Beam added as he guides Tian from Phana and pushes the cart back to the snack side.

Kit dragged Phana to get the wet ingredient instead of Beam in the opposite direction.

"Did you noticed how Beam taught Tian what's right to do?" asked Phana amazed, while he and Kit walked away.

"I still clearly remember how he would beg you to buy him extra snacks every time we go strolling in the mall. Now, look at him," replied Kit with a fond smile.

"He has become a great father. I'm proud of his evolvement from a campus casanova to a devoted husband and now an astonishing father," stated Phana proudly with glassy eyes.

"Proud of your unofficial son now, I see," teased Kit as they continued to buy the other ingredients fast.

Beam's POV

After the short shopping at the grocery stall and a quick stop at the gas station to get ice creams, Beam and the others returned to the beach house.

As soon as they returned from the store, Kit with Beam started to sort out the things they bought while Phana left to attend an emergency call from the hospital.

Forth is helping Park to prepare the things to bring to the beach later while Lam is playing with Tian along Wayo on the sofa. Ming is having a conference call related to his office work through zoom.

Summer break, summer vacation is something every student waits for in their school or college life. Where else, summer vacation is something that keeps us, the doctors, on our toes during the on-call duty. The usual things that come to mind in the mention summer are beaches, night parties, drinks, and fun.

Let me tell you what comes to our minds. It's the cuts, blood, accidents, and emergency surgeries. These are the things that come to our thoughts. It's because we don't know when an emergency case will walk into our ER department.

It could be a minor fracture in the leg due to an injury acquired in a beach volleyball game or a damn open heart surgery due to a drunk and driving accident. So, when we get a vacation during that season of the year, we appreciate it and cherish it as much as we can.

"Wow, you have an indoor swimming pool here, P'Beam?" asked Ming excitedly as he walked out after finally done with his meeting. He was about to take off his shirt and jump into it.

"Hey, hey, stop it right there, Ai'Ming. We are going to the beach in a few hours. What's the rush?" question Wayo.

He is trying to fix the rubric cube which Tian mix up for him.

"Yeah, right. Maybe later," answered Ming with his silly smile as he hugged Kit from behind and disturb the former from preparing the meat skewers for the barbecue.

"Tone it down, you too," I teased them when I noticed Ming trying to kiss my dimpled friend while he is wriggling in his hold.

"Ming, let me work," Kit said as he successfully pushed Ming onto the kitchen chairs.

"P'Lam, where's P'Park and P'Forth?" asked Ming as he settled down and didn't bother Kit anymore.

"In the room. Preparing the stuff for the barbecue, I guess," replied Lam while I finish sorting out my grocery list.

Ming runs off to Park's room to join the other engineering boys.

//Beep, beep, //

(P'Gulf's car.)

Upon the car horn sound, Kit noticed a black Isuzu D-Max entering our beach house garage.

"That's not P'Mew's car, is it?" asked Phana as he walks into the house again after attending to the call.

"That's P'Gulf's car. How come he allows P'Mew to drive it?" stated Forth as he joined the others in the living room.

Shortly a very cheerful-looking P'Gulf walked into the house as he swirls the keys in his finger.

"Hello everybody," he greeted us happily.

"Ohh, P'Gulf, you look stunning, na," I complimented him.

(P'Gulf, as in P'Mew's husband.)

He really is glowing for my eyes. Pregnancy sure does wonders in people.

"Nong Beam, Thank you so much, my favorite brother-in-law," he replied as he hugged me.

"P'Gulf, what about me?" asked Forth whining.

Forth supported this pair the most in the family. He was worried about P'Gulf more, though. It's because P'Mew is an extreme workaholic. But Forth didn't know that P'Gulf is a workaholic as well. They are the match made in heaven.

"You can be your brother's favorite," said P'Gulf teasingly.

"Hmmm, so unfair," Forth protests.

"By the way, where is P'Mew? How did he allow you to drive?" asked Lam.

"I threatened him. If not, we will only reach here in the late evening," answered P'Gulf with a smile.

"Where is he now?" questioned Wayo.

"He is getting the luggage. He won't let me even if I volunteer."

"Of course he won't, P. When did he ever let you work? Now that you're conceiving, he will never allow you to work unnecessarily," said Park smiling at him.

"He should be the one that resting, to be honest," P'Gulf replied with a sigh.

"Why? Is he sick or something?" asked Phana worriedly.

My best friend is more worried about my brother-in-law than my husband, who is blood-related to him.

What a caring husband I have.

"I don't know. P'Mew has been throwing up every day for two weeks now and is very sensitive to light and sound. It's better if you guys keep your voice-," before P'Gulf could complete his dialogue, P'Mew and Nong Ming entered the living room together from a different direction.

"P'Mew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!," called Nong Ming excitedly and loudly, which startled the P'Mew who step into the house.

"Nong Ming, you idiot. Reduce your volume," scolded P'Mew as he left all the luggage at the doorway and settled on the sofa.

He used Tian's lap to rest his head, which made my poor baby confused. But, he quickly changed his attention from his targetted uncle to P'Mew. Tian targets Wayo and has been playing with him since Wayo reached here. But, now P'Mew's hair has become his new target.

Phana was fascinated by the new information P'Gulf gave us and started to laugh his ass off.

"Oh my god, I thought it's only a myth. P'Mew, you're so superb," praised Ai'Kit, joining Phana in laughing.

"Why? What happened? Someone explain to me please," said P'Gulf as he settled beside P'Mew on the sofa.

"Hahaha, P'Mew. I salute you, P," added Phana, but that idiot friend of mine didn't explain anything to us.

"There's a rural theory, which was myth till now.

If the husband loves his spouse so much, he will accept and exchange all of the sickness and worries without realizing it.

I guess P'Mew took all of P'Gulf's pregnancy sickness from him. That's why he is experiencing the morning sickness and the sensitivity rather than P'Gulf," explained Kit excitedly.

"That's even better. I don't want Gulf to go through this. It's terrible," commented P'Mew, still from Tian's lap.

"Boo khrap, Bii loves you, na," confessed P'Gulf with an affectionate smile decorating his face, which made Nong Wayo blush hard with the open confession.

"I'm impressed with your dedication, P'Mew," added Phana teasingly.

"P'Pha, you better take all my morning sickness when I successfully get pregnant," threatened Nong Wayo as he glared at Ai'Pha for teasing that pregnant couple.

I swear I could see cold sweats forming on Phana's forehead. Good luck, my friend.

"Why don't you guys rest for a while before we head to the beach," Forth suggested as he noticed how pale P'Mew looks.

"Dada, Tian tants to tollow (Dada, Tian wants to follow)," declared my son eagerly.

Who am I or Forth to reject our cute bundle of joy?

"Of course, baby. Dada will teach you how to swim later," replied Forth as he carries Tian and spins him like a helicopter.

P'Mew and P'Gulf joined my SB-IVF treatment program four months ago and are now happily pregnant for three months. Phana and Wayo are planning to extend their small family next year as well. Kit is still damn scared with the process which he researched and runs. He is not ready to get pregnant anytime soon.

I'm glad that Nong Ming is very understanding of this issue. Park and Lam are one step ahead of all of us. They decided to adopt twins from Love Orphanage next month. None of them is ready to let the other go through the pregnancy pain. So, they made up their mind this way, which is why I'm so proud of them.

Adopting is also parenting, and you're nothing less than anybody. In fact, you're better than the other parents. Parental love doesn't form because of a blood connection. It's developed through emotions and feelings to protect and raise the child happily in this society.

We decided to head to the beach at 2 pm after lunch and stay there till night to see the sunset and have a barbecue night. Park had prepared things to play some firecrackers by the shores as well.

The sky was brilliantly red and orange a few minutes ago due to the sunset. But now it's dark, and the only light here is from the tent we built earlier together with the full moon. The boys took turns to return to the beach house to shower and get back to the shores for the barbecue party. Forth took Tian with him, by Park and Lam tagging along to fresh up while I went with Phana and Kit. All of them enjoyed playing in the sea and had a blast swimming and playing beach volleyball.

Fortunately, P'Mew got better and enjoyed himself well with others. But, he didn't allow P'Gulf to play volleyball, knowing the engineering student's mindset of wanting to win no matter what. Forth, Park, Lam, and Ming were in one team while Phana, Kit, P'Mew, and I were in another.

P'Gulf and Nong Wayo played sandcastles with Tian while we fight neck to neck in the volleyball match. Tian had his first sunset by the beach with us. I'm sad that he is growing up so soon, but I am excited about his growth as well.

Phana and Wayo were helping Tian with the firecrackers while Park and Lam were serving the barbecue skewers to P'Gulf and P'Mew. P'Gulf needs to take his meds on time, and P'Mew is very strict about it.

I watched them from far I was taking a walk by the shore by myself. The beach scent and its sound calms me and gives me an odd feeling of satisfaction.

(And, I'm still waiting for Triage, guys.)

I felt a blanket covering me from behind. Forth wraps me like a cacoon with the blanket as Forth hugged me from behind.

"What are you doing here, alone?" he asked me as he kissed my cheeks.

"Just strolling around," I replied as the waves wash over our feet.

"I missed you. You should have brought me along. You made me become 7th wheel for the love birds there," he whined as he snuggled into my neck.

"Sorry, I didn't realize that," I said as he hugged me tighter around the waist.

"I'm sorry, Beam," he stated out of nowhere.

"What got into you?" I asked when he becomes silent suddenly.

I turned around to face my husband, who has his eyes staring down.

"Sorry, I didn't take all of your sicknesses during your pregnancy like P'Mew," he said sadly with a pout.

Owhhhh, why is my husband so adorable.

I smiled as I hugged him.

"You did more than taking my sickness, Forth.

You were an angel.

You were a dream come true in my life.

I never believe in love and the happily ever after.

You made me realize what's love and made me face all my insecurities about love and life.

You made me the happiest human in the universe.

I love you, my head hazer," I confessed after so long, and I peck on his lips.

"I love you, my casanova," he replied to my confession as he pulled me in for a kiss.

Forth returned the kiss with much intensity as I kissed him. He smiled in between the kiss and brightly smiled as we parted to take a breath.

His gummy smile could blind me. I have the best husband in the whole world.
