"Shut up!"Rainkit hissed. Beechpaw padded over to the nursery. "How are you doing?"he asked kindly to Rainkit and Sunkit. "F-fine!"Rainkit stuttered. "Yeah we are great!" her brother meowed proudly. "Are you excited about becoming apprentices?" Beechpaw purred. "Um... Y-yeah W-we are!"Rainkit stuttered. Sunkit purred in amusement. "Beechpaw, come on, Whiskerheart wants us to battle train!" Fawnpaw called. "Coming!"Beechpaw meowed.

"See you later!"Beechpaw called over his shoulder as he padded away to the training hollow.

Rainkit watched with jealousy as Fawnpaw talked to him with a shine in her pretty green eyes. Sunkit noticed her anger. "Looks like someone's trying to steal your mate!"he meowed teasingly.

"Hush!"meowed Rainkit, feeling hot with embarrassment. Suddenly she heard a furious yowl. "Nightclan Warriors are invading the camp!"some cat yowled. A fit of fighting broke out, Nightclan warriors  everywhere. "Stay here kits!"Nightfeather meowed. She then raced to the battle.

Sunkit was terrified, huddling up to his sister. He could feel her shivering in terror, and he found himself doing the same. Suddenly, he spotted two Nightclan Warriors creeping up to the nursery. Sunkit tried to yowl for help, but the battle was to loud and fierce for any of their clanmates to hear them. The nightclan Warriors picked up Sunkit and Rainkit and raced away from the SnowClan camp. "Nightclan retreat!"Pounceheart, the deputy of Nightclan yowled. Sunkit yowled along with his sister as they were kidnapped and taken to the Nightclan camp.

"Let us go!"Sunkit snarled as the Nightclan warrior set his sister and he in the nightclan nursery. A gray queen beckoned them closer to her with her tail. "Your not our mother!"Sunkit growled. Rainkit just glanced around, terrified. "It's ok, little ones. I will not hurt you,"the gray queen meowed soothingly. Finally, Sunkit and Rainkit reluctantly curled up to the gray shecat and slept. "I want mother!"Rainkit meowed pitifully. The gray queen only licked her head, and soon, they all fell asleep.
