Rainwhisper pricked her ears as she heard her clanmates welcoming back Adderstar, the new leader of Snowclan.
Rainwhisper spotted her with her head held high, walking towards the leader's den.

"She looks confident." Sunblaze meowed to her. "Too right!" She agreed. If she was the leader, she would be unsure and scared.

Sunblaze had a happy gleam in his eyes. "Fawndapple is expecting my kits!" He purred. "Congratulations!"Rainwhisper meowed. She didn't like Fawndapple, but was happy for her brother. And her kits are going to be my kin!she thought with excitement.

"Rainwhisper, would you like to go on a hunting patrol?" Fernheart meowed. "Sure!" She meowed. "You can pick who goes with us." Fernheart meowed.

Rainwhisper picked Beechpelt, Skybird, Sunblaze, and Mousespring. Skybird and Mousespring brought their apprentices,Leopardpaw and Batpaw.

After the hunt, Rainwhisper caught a mouse and two blackbirds.

She burried them for later. All of the sudden, a huge muscular ginger tom pounced on her, digging his claws into her fur. She yowled for help, but doubted anyone had heard her. "No one hears you, Rainkit!"

How does he know my name was once rainkit?, she thought. Suddenly, Sunblaze leaped on the cat, battling fiercely. Finally, the cat raced of, yowling"Blood will drown the clans!"

"Was that what the prophecy meant?" Sunblaze asked Rainwhisper, feeling annoyed and frustrated. "I don't think so." She replied. "Well, what does it mean?"he impatiently meowed. "Like I said, I don't know."Rainwhisper meowed sharply, padding towards Beechpelt.

"There is something I want to ask you." Beechpelt asked shyly. "Yes?" Rainwhisper meowed. "Will you be my mate?" He asked. "I'd thought you'd never ask!" She purred, burrowing her snout into his light brown fur.

Adderstar called the cats for a meeting. "Let's go to the gathering!" She yowled, beckoning her clan to follow her.
Rainwhisper padded beside her new mate, leaning into his fur.she couldn't even begin to guess how much they loved each other.

The gathering was unusually boring, just news of new Warriors and apprentices. After the gathering, Adderstar led her Warriors back to camp.
