Personality- Patrick is an extremely nice guy. Niceness is his whole thing. He's always nice to people, no matter the circumstances, really. Well, he has a breaking point, if someone is annoying the heck out of him or just being plain mean. Then he might get a little defensive, but he hardly ever raises his voice. Most of his comebacks are in sarcastic, sassy ways, or just deadpan. He'll tell someone how it is, whether they like it or not. He won't usually do that with his friends, as he doesn't want to hurt their feelings, but if it's someone that's making him mad, he will. If someone has the nerve to upset him or someone he cares about, he has a right to defend them or himself. He would never physically hurt someone though, like punching. He would never do that. He has very good control over his temper, and he doesn't remember any time that he's actually lost it. Except when he was a little kid. That doesn't count. Patrick is also pretty soft. His feelings get hurt easily, which is kind of a dilemma for him. But usually, he's good at coming up with a comeback. Sometimes he'll just ignore it, sometimes he might cry, or sometimes he might get a little angry. Seeing him angry is a very rare sight, you should definitely be scared if you do. He saves his anger for when he'll need it. He won't often lash out on somebody, unless they're actually driving him nuts. Then it's usually just sarcastic, sassy remarks. He's very selfless, often caring about others more than himself, but he's also aware of his own needs, and makes sure to care for himself too. He can also be a bit reckless at times too, usually when something's bothering him, he's upset, confused, or scared. Those are often the times he gets reckless. He'll charge into things without thinking, doing a variety of different things. It usually ends up with him hurt, emotionally or physically. He's usually very good at thinking through situations and coming up with the best possible plan, but sometimes, he just isn't.
Patrick is also quite insecure. It isn't necessarily about anything in particular, and it won't really be evident that he's insecure unless you catch him in a certain mood. Otherwise, he keeps it to himself and hides it well. He's insecure about his body, about his looks, about how he acts and about his abilities to do things. The only thing he really isn't insecure about is his music abilities and his abilities in the medical field.

Special Skills/Quirks- One thing Patrick is good at is music. He isn't an entertainer or anything, but he play a variety of instruments just because it interests him. Mainly the guitar and piano and singing. Singing has to be his favorite. He often hums or sings quietly to himself while doing things.
A little quirk of his is that he's a vegetarian. He refuses to eat meat. The reason why is just because eating animals does not appeal to him, he wants to save the poor creatures, not eat them. So he's a vegetarian because of that. 
Patrick also has a little habit called sweater paws, where he pulls the sleeves of whatever long sleeved thing he's wearing over his hands, often being a sweater. It's a nervous tick of his and pretty cute.

Why They Signed Up For The Selection- Patrick has always kinda been a hopeless romantic, so that's part of the reason. He wants to find love, make some friends, and just have an overall new experience. He's sick of the same old day to day experience. Even if the thought of meeting royals is a little daunting, it shouldn't be that bad, right?
