While most mermaids are flashy, always having fancy multicolored hair or something, Patrick is not. He doesn't like to attract that kind of attention to himself. Due to this, he's sort of patronized by society. People look down on him (quite literally too) for it. At first, he cared a lot. He tried to be flashy. He wore makeup and glitter and made his hair some fun color, but he hated it. It wasn't himself, so he stopped. He grew used to the patronizing, and sort of just ignores it at this point. When he's in his human form, he often wears pants to hide how his legs differ from normal. 

Gender- Male
This does not help with the patronizing. He's a male that doesn't follow the stereotypes. That's like, big red flashing lights for "ha i don't fit in with society".

Age- 19

Sexuality- Gay
Patrick has a type. Dark hair, glasses, has to be probably at least four inches taller than him (which isn't hard to come by). He loves tall guys. They can pick him up and carry him and absolutely smother him in a hug and cuddles and he loves the thought of that. Has it ever happened? No. No one wants to give the unflashy, short, mermaid boy a hug. But he definitely likes tall guys with dark hair. Glasses are cute too. V cute. Oh, and mermaid guys are extremely hot. He has a special thing for them.

Free or Familiar- He's a free boi, no one wants him in that way and he's fine with that.

He loves his job, to be honest. He loves helping people and doing something good, so generally, healing and taking care of people is something he likes and is pretty good at.

Patrick is extremely touch starved, and basically love starved in general. He wants to be loved, he wants to be kissed and held and cuddled and everything. Maybe Orion predicted this, or maybe it was coincidence. With everyone in society being generally good looking, you can bet that Patrick constantly gets crushes over like, every single guy. Just based off their looks usually at first. If they're hot or cute, he likes them. He'll become that character in a cartoon that sees someone who's good looking at their eyes become hearts. If that was a thing that could happen, it would. He gets massive crushes extremely easily, and kinda has plenty of fantasies. Boy has literally never been kissed, probably has never even held hands with somebody. Oh, he is also kind of very horny. That comes with being love starved. He doesn't really ever show it, but you might catch him giving someone a once over, or just staring at some guy in a little daze. If a guy ever came onto him, he probably wouldn't say no.

{Appearance}

Face Claim- Patrick Stump (if you want me to use a younger version of him than I'm picturing just say so!)

Body Type- Patrick is short, and a bit on the chubby side. He's 5'4", and doesn't have the greatest metabolism, so he's kinda chubby. It isn't a lot, just enough so that it's kinda cute. He's self conscious of it, especially on his chest and stomach, so don't expect to see him shirtless very often. Even when he's in mermaid form, he'll often wear a shirt to match his tail just so he isn't shirtless. He's more confident about the lower half of himself. He's got some curvey hips and legs, and people generally seem to like that.

Skin- He has normal skin, except when he's in human form, his legs are kinda scaley. His tail is red, so the scales are red, and he has some red glittery designs on them. He does not like it one bit, so he wears pants when in human form to cover it up.

Racial Features- He's a mermaid boi, so obviously, he's gotta have a tail. His tail is red (which happens to be his favorite color so he's kinda happy about that). When in human form, his legs are a sort of pale red with scales, and have some glittery red designs on them. And here's his tail-

Style of Clothing- Patrick doesn't like being flashy, so you won't really find him in any bright colors or anything glittery or dressed up. He finds the most simple clothes he can get, and that's what he wears. He likes wearing darker colors, like blacks and grays, but you may catch him wearing red or white sometimes too.

{Personality}

Personality Overview- Patrick is an extremely nice guy. Niceness is his whole thing. He's always nice to people, no matter the circumstances, really. Well, he has a breaking point, if someone is annoying the heck out of him or just being plain mean. Then he might get a little defensive, but he hardly ever raises his voice. Most of his comebacks are in sarcastic, sassy ways, or just deadpan. He'll tell someone how it is, whether they like it or not. He won't usually do that with his friends, as he doesn't want to hurt their feelings, but if it's someone that's making him mad, he will. If someone has the nerve to upset him or someone he cares about, he has a right to defend them or himself. He would never physically hurt someone though, like punching. He would never do that. He has very good control over his temper, and he doesn't remember any time that he's actually lost it. Except when he was a little kid. That doesn't count. Patrick is also pretty soft. His feelings get hurt easily, which is kind of a dilemma for him. But usually, he's good at coming up with a comeback. Sometimes he'll just ignore it, sometimes he might cry, or sometimes he might get a little angry. Seeing him angry is a very rare sight, you should definitely be scared if you do. He saves his anger for when he'll need it. He won't often lash out on somebody, unless they're actually driving him nuts. Then it's usually just sarcastic, sassy remarks. He's very selfless, often caring about others more than himself, but he's also aware of his own needs, and makes sure to care for himself too. He can also be a bit reckless at times too, usually when something's bothering him, he's upset, confused, or scared. Those are often the times he gets reckless. He'll charge into things without thinking, doing a variety of different things. It usually ends up with him hurt, emotionally or physically. He's usually very good at thinking through situations and coming up with the best possible plan, but sometimes, he just isn't.
Patrick is also quite insecure. It isn't necessarily about anything in particular, and it won't really be evident that he's insecure unless you catch him in a certain mood. Otherwise, he keeps it to himself and hides it well. He's insecure about his body, about his looks, about how he acts and about his abilities to do things. The only thing he really isn't insecure about is his music abilities. He's insecure about not really being flashy, but then again, when he was doing all of the flashy stuff, he felt insecure about not being himself. So, he's kinda just stuck in a loop. He just wants to be loved, someone love him.

Fears/Phobias- Astraphobia and aichmophobia. Astraphobia is the fear of thunder and lightning. He is pretty much terrified of both those things, and often has panic attacks whenever a thunderstorm happens. He'll hide under the covers of his bed and cry and panic, it's pretty bad.
Aichmophobia is the fear of sharp objects, like knives and needles. His basically only is to knives and needles, but if there's something with a very obvious point, he'll probably be afraid of it. He won't ever handle knives, and if he has to get shots or anything he will cry.

Hobbies/Skills- Patrick doesn't necessarily like gardening, but he does have a pretty wide knowledge on plants. He knows which ones are poisonous, which ones can have healing abilities, and so on and so forth. 
He's also very into music. He knows how to play a variety of instruments, and being a mermaid, he has an extremely nice voice. And he likes singing, so that's a plus with that.

Interesting Facts-

Parents' Names- Andromeda Harper and James Harper

Relationship With Parents- Everything was fine with them until they realized that Patrick wasn't going to be a typical mermaid. They were the ones that encouraged him to try to be flashy, as they really didn't want their son to end up as an outcast from society, but quickly realized that would have to be the way it would be. They started to ignore him, and still do. They don't talk a lot and are very distant, and it makes Patrick sad.

Crush/Significant Other- Patrick confirmed has a crush on literally every guy.

{Backstory}

Childhood- Patrick was a pretty happy child. His parents took extremely good care of him, and he was generally a well behaved kid. He may have slacked off in school a little bit, but his parents quickly made him grow out of that habit. He was definitely a clingy baby and toddler.

Teenage Years- This was when Patrick started to realize he didn't want to be the typical flashy mermaid. So, that's when him and his parents started to distance from each other. In this age was when all of the other mermaids typically started doing all the flashy stuff, but he didn't. So he started to be shoved off to the side more because of it. He was bullied for it, and they tagged that along with being short and being a bit overweight. It shattered his confidence, but he learned to become immune to it. For the most part.

Young Adult Years- Patrick doesn't have to deal with the school bullies anymore, but society bullies him. People will skip him in line for stuff, among other things. He's been pickpocketed and stolen from too many times to count, and it's very draining on him. All of it is.

Have they broken a law? If so, what? And who knows about it?- Nah, he's never broken a law. Unless being unflashy is a law among mermaids, then that.

What are some theories they have on the Lost and Found program?- His only theory is that; maybe they're trying to find something, or someone, that's lost? Like someone went missing and people are trying to find them.
