Chapter Twenty-Two
Kaid and Byron treated me to dinner, congratulating me on winning the case. I was thankful to have people like Kaid and Byron. They acted as parents for me throughout this whole thing, and I honestly could not thank them enough. After we ate, I asked Axton if he could take me to the hotel where my uncle Roger is staying. He, of course, agreed, saying that he wanted to meet someone who obviously held great importance to me.
So here we were, pulling into the hotel parking lot, and walking in. I texted Uncle Roger, asking him to meet us in the lobby. We walk into the hotel hand in hand, I'm tired from the past few weeks, but I want Axton to meet my uncle properly. Seeing as how Uncle Roger is the only family I have left.
"Do you want to do something later?" Axton asks me, as we walk into the lobby.
Before I can answer, someone calls out my name. I turn quickly to see my Uncle coming out of the elevator. He hustles over and wraps his arms around me, pulling me away from Axton slightly.
"Congratulations, Fallon!" He hugs me tighter before releasing me.
I step away and glance at Axton who's fidgeting nervously. A small grin crosses my face at the thought of Axton being nervous.
"Uncle Roger, this is Axton King. Without him, I don't think I would've been able to fight Mom in court." I turn to Axton. "Axton, Uncle Roger."

The next day I had to pack a small suitcase. I am flying back to Arizona to pack up my old house, and attempt figure out what to do with everything. I know that I'm going to throw my mother's stuff out, no reason keeping it when she's in jail. I also had to sign a couple papers at the main office of my father's business to ensure that Uncle Roger is going to remain the CEO.
I walk down the stairs with my duffle bag that I'm taking. Kaid is standing there with her kids, direction Byron and Axton as they carry stuff to the car. I plop my bag down and sit on the bottom step.
"Axton," Kaid says when he attempts to walk past her. His head drops back as he groans in response. "Take Fallon's bag to the car." He casts an irritated glance at me, but does as he's told.
After he walks off Kaid beckons me off the stairs. When I reach her she wraps her arms around me.
"Thank you." I whisper.
"No, thank you." She tells me, pulling back. "Before you came, Axton was a hellion. He partied, and drank, and wouldn't listen to me, or to Byron. He was different. But for some reason, something about you made him realise that he needed to get his act together. So thank you." Kaid then kissed my cheek before I was quickly ushered out to the garage.
Axton stood up from putting our bags in the car. He smiles at me, despite the irritation of his aunt.
"Ready when you are."
And then we're off.
THE END

The end. Thank you to everyone who has been reading this book since the beginning, and those who have just started. I really appreciate, this book is my baby and I love it. I know that it's not the best, but I do think that it is a good story.
So once again, thank you.
