donghyuck woke up earlier than usual, partly because he was nervous and at the same time scared, which is the worst feeling ever. this is going to be his first time in the lee's company, and in all honesty, he has no idea how he's going to face the ceo's son, or should we say, mr. mark lee.

just whenever he think about his first interaction with the ceo makes him cringe and want his body to be eaten on the ground.

brushing those horrible thoughts away, he glanced at his wall clock as a sigh fell on his lips, "time runs so fast." he mumbles to himself and took the plate and cups and placed it on the sink before quickly washing them.

after he did that, he dashes towards his bathroom and took a twenty-minute bath. 

finally done doing that, he quickly put on his black pants and button up before taking a look at the time again. did he seriously take him that long in the bathroom? he thought to himself as he continues to panic. 

he wasn't late. he was just overreacting.  

his phone suddenly rang, making him flinch on his spot. he didn't even bother looking at the contact name and just answered the phone, he's too busy putting his shoes on. "who's this?"

"what a unique way to greet hi." 

"oh, renjun?" he took a look of the contact name before putting the phone back on his ear, "you're up early, why did you call?"

the younger heard renjun chuckle on the other line, "just wanted to know how's our secretay doing." the older managed to tease.

"oh please," the statement made donghyuck roll his eyes, "i'm running late, don't bother me right now."

"oh really? what time should you be there?" he curiously asked.

donghyuck hums while fixing his button up with his free hand, "around eight? nine-thirty."

donghyuck immediately heard a scoff from renjun, "donghyuck, it's seven in the morning."

a knock on the door was heard inside the office, catching mark's attention, "come in." he told but his eyes still didn't left his computer.

the door finally opens, revealing a tall man walking straight at the ceo's desk. this made mark averts his attention off his office work and looked at the taller in confusion, "johnny?" he calls, "please tell me i didn't miss any meeting." 

the statement made the taller laugh and shook his head, "oh no, actually, someone's here to see you?" he said, more like asking, looking down at the paper of the ceo's schedule, "he said his name is donghyuck, but i don't see any schedule of you with him here."

johnny is one of the person closest to mark's father, but although he wasn't officially the ceo's secretary, mr. lee still asked the taller to help him at casual times and mark had no choice but to just agree. at first, mark refused since he knows he's capable in any areas, but having johnny around is also like having an older brother, so he doesn't mind.

"oh, donghyuck..." mark said out loud, testing the name on his tongue, just then he remembered he's supposed to meet someone today that's going to be his secretary. well, to be honest, he didn't got the name of the boy he met on the cafe from that night... "yeah sure i guess, please let him in."

the taller looked up, confused, "oh really?" he said questioned, somewhat surprised. probably because he wasn't used to the ceo just letting anyone in his own office.

he left the ceo's office for a few seconds and went back at the tanned male who's waiting not too far away from the office.

the taller looked at him up and down—but not in a judgement way—he was... observing him. he has nice legs, and perfect tan skin, that's how johnny can describe him. who could he be? he thought to himself. once he got closer towards the male, his head immediately averts towards him, "mr. lee, is calling you in." he said, shooting him a smile to not sound too intimidating.

the said person nods his head and followed the taller towards the office.

time felt slow as he walks towards it for some reason, maybe because he felt scared? nervous? he doesn't know what reaction he'll get once he meet the ceo or just how he'll treat him in general considering he doesn't have any experience about this in the first place.

pushing the door open, johnny lets the younger in first before him and gets closer towards mark's table.

"here he is." johnny says, before looking down on the paper clipped on a clipboard on his hands, "i'll leave now, just call me when you need anything."

mark nods towards the older and waits for him to leave.

meanwhile, donghyuck stands there confused. it looks like mark already has a secretary, he assumes. then what is he here for then?

his eyes just continues to observe the ceo's office. it was so spacious, it feels like it's bigger than his own apartment.

once he did, his eyes immediately landed on the younger male in front of him. only staring at him for a few minutes, just observing every feature of donghyuck's body.

shaking his head, "take a seat." mark offers and the younger did as what told and waits for mark to say something. the ceo continues doing his work but his attention was still on the younger in front of him, "i'm guessing you're donghyuck?"

the smaller male nodded his head in response. "lee donghyuck." the younger introduces.

"i wouldn't do anymore ceremony to announce that you're already my secretary because i assume you're already aware." he announces, still had his eyes on the computer screen.

a frown made its way on donghyuck's face, looking at the superior, dumbfounded, "then who is the tall guy?" he curiously asked, "he's not a secretary? or is he a personal assistant?"

"he is not my secretary." mark immediately corrected the male, "did you forgot why you're here in the first place?" the ceo finally averts his eyes towards the male, and donghyuck swears he just flinched on his spot.

oh yeah, right. he's only here for one thing—it's to be the ceo's secretary because he doesn't have half a million to pay mark's needs.

mark fixed his coat, "but since you ask too many questions, stand up and i'm going to introduce you to them."

the younger's eyes widens, looking at the ceo who's already making his way towards the door, "wait no!" he attempts to stop him, "i-i mean—you don't have to." he awarkwardly chuckles thinking about the amount of attention he'll get from all of the people there.

"i'm also going to show you you're work area." mark added, "don't overreact."

the younger didn't say anything and remained frozen on his seat, the ceo seems to notice this and looked back at the younger who's looking blankly on the wall, confused, "did you not hear what i said?"

donghyuck shook his head, finally snapping himself out of his thoughts. he instantly sprung himself up on his seat, and soon followed the older that is now walking out of his office.

"since you're my secretary, it's just right to let you know my rules here," mark started as they continue walking to—donghyuck assmues—his work area, "i expect you to not be late, and be alert at all times." 

donghyuck continues to follow behind him, nodding at every word he says.

"also i need someone to update about my schedules, and that someone is you." the older added.

a frown made its way on the tan male's face, as he looks at the ceo, "b-but... i don't know your schedu—"

oh, so they're not going to his work area? the younger asked himself.

"johnny." the superior calls out. donghyuck didn't even realize where they are now as he's too busy paying attention to what mark is saying.

the said name looks up from his work, "yes, mr. lee?" he responded.

"i need the paper that has my schedule on it," he told, and the older pulled the clipboard where the papers are on, and handed it towards him, "the reason for this is because i finally have my secretary."

all of their heads turned towards the ceo, looking at him with confised eyes—they also noticed an unfamiliar figure standing beside him.

"everyone, this is donghyuck... my secretary." the ceo casually announced, towards the pair of eyes that are on him. "i expect you guys to guide him as he's still new here." he finishes, handing the clipboard towards the male and donghyuck didn't think twice to grab it from him.

so... the ceo still has a nice side in him, donghyuck thought to himself but immediately brush those thoughts away and shoots them an awarkward smile before rapidly bowing at all of them. in all honesty, he felt intimidated by all of them.

mark started walking to a specific table that is facing towards everyone, while the rest of them are facing each other, donghyuck also saw that there's already a huge computer screen built on it and also some other starionaries that he's going to need, he assumes that's his table. 

"you'll be working here." mark told. the table wa definitely bigger and spacious than the other, probably because it's for the ceo's secretary?

the younger sits on the swivel chair, and something he didn't expect is mark leaning down on him before whispering, "act like you already know what you're doing here or i'll let everyone know why i let you be my secretary." mark whispers.

donghyuck was stunned and couldn't say anything, instead he just nods in response. "don't embarrass me." mark finishes before standing straight and turning his heel away, now with the intention on going back to his office.
