Nico's POV

It was almost two days later and now I sat in a glass cage. But the glass was five inches thick. At least this time there were holes at the top so I could breathe. But the cage was so high and so were the holes so I couldnt hear what was going on outside because of the thick glass.

*HUGE ASS TIME SKIPERS* (By 3 days)

I woke up on day 5 to see the holes at the top closed. No. A little panel opened up so Athena could speak to me.

"With the air here, this will give you around 48 hours of breathing. Lets see if Perseus can make it on time."

I looked around. Great. That means they cant open the door to give me food. So I will be suffocating and starving to death slowly. My heart started beating fast. No no no no. I cant. I need to calm down. He will come. I took a deep breath and sat in the corner.  They kept spotlights in the room so I couldnt shadow travel away.

*Le time skipe*

I felt the suffocation. I cant take deep breaths anymore. If Percy didnt come today then I would most likely die.

Hours later. There was a clock on the wall. A timer saying how much time I have left. 10 hours. I blinked. 5 hours. Did I pass out?  4 hours. Stay awake Nico. I heard the faintest sound of commotion. The gods were angry. I looked over at the giant doors. I walked to the wall of my glass cage. 3 hours. Stop blacking out. I wanted to punch the glass but I couldnt waste my breath. I looked up and saw the giant doors open.
Percy.

My eyes widened as I saw Percy and Grover being dragged across the tile by my dad. No. They couldnt have failed. No. Percy looked up at me in the cage. His expression hardened. He took water from the pitcher on the table and spashed it in Hades face. I saw him scream but didnt hear anything. Percy smiled and slashed Riptide at him. Hades said something to Percy. He charged with the sword again. Idiot. He cant kill a god. They were fighting. Grover was knocked out on the floor. I need a miracle. They listened. A miracle came to be. Poseidon walked in. And saw Percy laying on the ground breathing hard. He lashed out on Hades and he disappeared. Grover woke. Poseidon dumped then dumped water on Percy, healing him. Percy told his dad what happened and he walked out hopefully about to bitchslap Athena. Percy then rushed over to me. 40 minutes. I pointed to the clock and signaled 0 = then slid my finger across my neck. Percy's eyes widened in horror. I stumbled forward. I was feeling way too light headed. I looked at the clock. 10 minutes. No. Thats impossible. Percy noticed that and tears came to his eyes. He punched the glass over and over again. I shook my head. Then I realized I could breathe again and the clock disappeared. A hole came out from the back wall. Black water started spewing out of it. Percy tried to control it but almost passed out from trying. Its enchanted. A voice echoed in our heads. I heard Percy scream as he talked to us.

"Let's make his death, more entertaining shall we? Well Percy? You must feel awful seeing your boyfriend drown slowly with you standing there, helpless."

Percy was curled on the ground crying. I slamed my fists against the glass, snaping him out of it. He looked up at me with red eyes. I mouthed dont cry. I looked down and saw the water was at my knees and the ceiling shrunk so it was two feet above my head. I didnt have alot of time.

The water was at my waist now. And suddenly a force knocked me down. Percy yelled again. I stood up choking on the water. It was filling faster. I swam up because it was at my neck. I tried going up further but saw my ankle was chained to the bottom of the tank. Percy banged against the glass and started throwing giant masses of water at it. I tried swimming toward him but was stuck in the middle of the tank.

Percy's POV
Unprotected.

I slamed water against the tank.
Alone.

Another giant wave.
Vulnerable.

Again.
Unsafe.

A huge one this time.
Drowning.

But that word didnt hurt me. It woke me up. I looked at Nico to see the tank full and him floating there. He wasnt moving. His jacket flowed outward and his hair was like an octopus. No. No. No. No. NO. I slammed a huge wave into the glass at the same time trying to will the black water to push against the tank. I heard a shattering sound. The water came out so fast, Nico dropped to the cold ground.
