Ice
Lyric A. K.
Ice
The ice was thin as the sun approached noon
And as it set the ice grew and grew
Come time for dawn the ice had doubled in size and now covered 2/8 of the lake
The sun approached noon and the ice writhed and shrunk back it seemed to steam and hiss with discontent
Than the sun grew smaller and the night came, and the entire lake froze Of course their was water and space underneath but in time their would be nothing but a frozen wasteland
But the time came when the sun rose but the sun was weak and would melt no ice today
The sun set and the lake froze more, the ice seeped into every crack and left nothing
But when the time came for the sun to rise again it didnt and the population of frozen lakes and small streams grew more until it finally happened; everything was gone
The planet was nothing more than a tinted brown snowball
Occasionally the planet would seep black oily goo or smaug that came from the silver metal structures that almost completely covered the planet
After time the planet turned red with rust from the metal
But how could it be their was no water only ice
Unless, the sun was coming back and was melting the ice
Spring has come to the cold wasteland
The sun rose for the first time in years
But the metal structures were almost completely gone
Only a few creatures had survived but just barely
But in the absence of the others new creatures began to wake
And thus started a new age
