Untitled part

Hadan had to resist the urge to yell that he had nothing to give them but that would be dumb, if these were bandits they might just kill him if he had nothing to give to them.

"Get up" said the bandit, drawing back his sword. Hadan could now make it out as a Breaker. a anti-sword sword, with many slits in its back for capturing blades

Hadan didnt say anything but just slowly got back up. looking at Ayisha's sleeping  form.

"Dont worry, we havent harmed any of your friends. but that could change if you do something stupid."

"Understood" said Hadan as he fully stood up. and realizing that if he tried to do anything stupid he would probably instantly die. the male in front of him was maybe seven feet, much taller then hadan, and he wasnt thin either, very buff. probably from the planes of shili.

"Come on" continued the man, firmly grabbing hadans shoulder and forcing him out the door of his hut. where Hadan found most of his family and dozens of other bandits in the same brown furs and with a variety of weapons. one giant of a man, bigger then even the one who had grabbed Hadan, sitting on a wood log with his hand on a wooden table infront of him.

"Ah, the leader of the family." said the giant, his voice deep and gruff with a hint of humor "please. take a seat."

The one holding Hadan shoved him towards the table and hadan slowly sat in the free chair across from the giant.

"Now, before we continue, no we're not bandits, or murderers, or anything that will hurt you unless your a bad person. so feel free to relax."

"Ok" replied Hadan, only relaxing slightly, it could be a trick to get them to let there guards down.

"In case you were wondering we are soldiers, currently scouting out the lands, its been decades since we had a good map for shili. so we're here."

"And why do you need that?"

"So we know where's what for agriculture." replied the supposed warrior.

Hadan nodded slowly, the man seemed to easy to speak. could just be friendly but it could also be a ploy.

"So. what about you. i see you and your family are on a trip. and you have a wife, you got lucky with a beautiful wife like that. along with a child, maybe another coming eh?"

Hadan glanced at some of the warriors who were in a semi circle watching him and his family, they looked professional, not like bandits. maybe the man was telling the truth.

Apparenetly the man had been expecting a reply from Hadan because he coughed slightly and Hadan snapped his head back to him abruptly.

"Oh. well. we haven't talked about that." replied Hadan.

"Well thats a conversation you'll probably have at another time."

"So why do you need more land for agriculture."

"Why wouldnt we? if you have the ability to become a massive agricultural power why not?"

"Because there are four other empires who would happily stop you"

"What do you mean?" asked the warrior. confused.

"Where are you from." asked Hadan. hoping to find out if the warrior truly was a warrior.

"The Havoc Dynasty."

Hadan nodded. that made sense, the Havoc were off in the more colder northern regions, which was still decent most of the year but it was one of the few places it ever snowed on shili. so it explained the fur coats that, though very helpful at night, werent great during the day

"You guys have the black crown, the golden league, the Arc dynasty, and the Veer to contend with. your people dont have the population to expand without risking your people being overrun."

"Oh. I see" said the Warrior before chuckling a little "you havent been up with news recently, have you?"

Hadan frowned "unfortunately no. im havent been able to receive any in a while."

"Well. sorry to break it to you buddy but. nobodies been at war in forever."

Hadan raised a eyebrow "excuse me?"

"Yeah. tell me. what was the last thing you heard about the empires?"

"The league had just gotten beat while trying to take from the industry of the black crown."

"Well buddy, that was over a year ago. and in that year. shili's got much bigger problems then fighting eachother, not that we will for a long time."

"What do you mean?" asked Hadan, leaning in. generally curious.

"The old guard began dying off last year, four of them in the span of three months, and the new guard. all young men and a women, really bright people. i think they'll d great for us* grew up in near constant fighting, backstabing, and war. and they agreed that. hey this has to stop before we tear ourselves apart. and formed the federation of shilian crowns. from The havoc dynasty, golden league, veer, and black crown."

...

"Excuse me" spoke up rey, who had been holding in a few questions since Ashla had begun. but had finally broke from curiousity.

Ashla smiled at her "yes?"

"This father of Ahsoka. Hadan. what it he talking about with all these empires?"

"You really dont want to know" said Poe. who had been cleaning his blaster while he was listening "its complicated."

"I'm sure ive heard worse."

Poe snorted before saying good naturedly "i doubt that."

"Perhaps you would like to explain poe dameron" said Ashla to poe. silently amused by the two.

"Umm. if you say so." he looked at rey "so. you know the clone wars right? both sides were nearly equally powerful?"

"Yes. ive learned about a lot in my time in the resistance" replied Rey, slightly insulted.

"Now make those sides five equal groups."

"Isnt to bad so far."

"Now put that on one planet."

"Oh" said Rey flatly, trying to imagine understand how five empires could fight eachother one one planet without blowing it up.

"Yeah. and now add a couple dozen council of neutral systems around and inside those empires. that may or may not be neutral."

"Is shili a desolate planet now?" asked Rey.

"The exact opposite it is a massive export of food. it is the most agriculturally rich planet that survived the empire."

"How did it survive?"

"Well. it was attacked one time by the empire. when it was bleeding out after the death star. but the togruta... they have a strong national identity and dont like anyone, and i mean anyone, moving in and trying to tell them what to do. and thanks to that agriculture, there population, there gas, and there off world assistants. they managed to hold off an imperial task force long enough for the rebellion to find out about it and take out the star destroyer, with the surviving imperials being taken as prisoners of war."

"Off world assistants."

"Eh. well. shili's one of those planets not in the main scene like Tatooine, but not too off the scene like Mandalore. there pretty powerful. they couldnt stand up to good size assault from a galactic entity, but they were powerful enough that they began to form. fields of influence, over there much less succesful neighbors."

"You seem to be well versed in the region" noted Ashla.

"If your going to fly a couple missions in a place your going to notice the only surviving big guns in the area who somehow managed to survive"

"Why wouldnt they?" asked Rey.

"I mean. they've been in a place thats been getting the boot since the clone wars** they were considered part of the empire to anyone inside it who didnt have access to knowledge of the region, but if you asked anyone from shili. a couple of them would smack you for even asking such a dumb question. as a said. they have a strong national identity."

"Why didnt the empire take them over."

"As i said they tried to but this was when the empire was bleeding and. well. they didnt last long enough for a follow up."

"Well thats fortunate. but about the offworld assistants?"

"So shili was also very much interested in expanding off world while making sure other species kept there's while also helping shili."

"Quick description?"

"They basically said 'we help you, keep your culture thriving, keep you fed, keep you safe, and in exchange you let us in on matters and let us influence you to benefit us and that will help us benefit more people'"

"Oh. well thats.... interesting, why didnt they just take over?"

"Making themselves to big at that time would have attracted the wrong attention, aka the hutts."

"What would the hutts want with shili."

"If thats important to your lesson im sure Ashla will tell you, but for now you need to get back to your lessons."

Rey glared at Poe before turning back to Ashla "please continue."

Ashla nodded at poe "now, let us continue."

...

"And the Arc dynasty?"

"Eventually the others managed to pressure there leader into joining before hosting a huge feast and tournament to improve diplomatic relations, the king of the black crown even took a fancy to the queen of the golden league, very much accepted by both of the empires."

"Your lying" said Hadan. not quite believing it. maybe a alliance between two or three of the but a permanent alliance between all of them was very hard to fathom.

"No. i wish i could show you evidence but they dont simply hand out valuable tapes of important moments in togrutan moments to any battlegroup."

Hadan leaned back, deciding it would be best not to dwell on that.

"Whats been happening ever since?"

"Well they've been soaking up the remaining shilian land, trading, and... hmm, im not sure if i should tell you this"

"What?" asked Hadan, interested.

"Well, they've begun to influence the planets surrounding shili."

"How?"

"Its complicated-

...

"Told you" commented Poe.

"Shh"

...

-it would be easier to just say 'we can do things there'"

Hadan nodded. still confused but still wondering how the whole uniting thing was going.

"Ok. im sure you have things you have to finish your mission."

"You still dont trust me. do you?"

"Sorry but im still not sure."

"Oh well" said the man, standing up, with his soldiers beginning to walk over to there quoi.

"Nice meeting you" replied Hadan, breathing out slightly.

"You to. oh. and your wifes beautiful."

"Thanks" replied Hadan, raising a eyebrow.

The man jumped onto his quoi and gave Hadan the native salute. a clenched fist sliding up nearly to his right shoulder with his knuckles out.

Hadan gave one right back before the warriors left. and Hadan breathe a giant sigh of relief.

"I told you we should have camped again" voiced Fris.

Hadan abbruptly shot up and turned to his father, pointing a stern finger at Fris "SHUT IT"
