CHAPTER 1
Sweat trickled down my forehead as I kept on punching and kicking the punching bag. My hands are aching but I keep on going as the pain felt so good. It feels great to break some sweat before going to hel- I mean school. I would always do my morning workouts which consist of running around the neighborhood, and spending some time in the gym built in our house, after my adamant request of course as I was the only person in the house who use it. I've had specialized the gym with a sparring ring, punching bags and tons of dumbbells. All this was made for the sake of my MMA career which in my point of view would never even fall. I've won numerous competitions and I'm getting stronger and stronger each day. This town really has weak ass residents. Well, except for me of course.
I was still punching the bag when I felt a hand on my shoulder.
"You should stop now Jade or you'll be late for school again" I heard the sweet voice of my twin brother, Jaden before turning around and face him with a smirk on my face.
"5 more minutes and I'll be done"
"You better hurry, because the special Jaden's maple bacon will not wait for you," he said before ruffling my hair and walked out of the gym. After blowing one last punch, I exited the gym and went to my room to have a shower.
The shower felt cold against my hot and sweaty body as it trails down to my legs. After I had done shampooing and had put some conditioner on my short hair, I stepped out of the shower with just the towel covering my body and looked at my reflection in the mirror.
The girl looking back at me wasn't the girl who used to look at me back when I was a little girl. The most prominent different would be my hair. My blonde hair used to be longer and almost reached my butt but now it's in its free and short state, just the way I like it. The smile that used to decorate my face was replaced by the smirk that painted my face most of the time. I don't know where that girl in the mirror came from but I like her and I want her to stay.
Deciding not to dwell in the past, I went in my walk-in closet and started looking for clothes to wear. Red wouldn't be suitable as it resembles the fire and fire signifies hell I don't want to blend in with it so I'll just wear black, just as black as my heart. Perfect. Reaching out, I grabbed my shirtless BVB t-shirt and my ripped jeans and put it on just in time before Jaden burst into my room and whistled,
"Woo look at those muscles. I guess you can open a bottle just using those bulging muscles. Have you tried? We totally should" Jaden exclaimed while touching my bare hands. I punched him and he took a few steps back.
"I'm taking you to school, so hurry up okay? By the way, that denim jacket over there would totally complete that look you have there"
I took the denim jacket Jaden told me and put my timberland boots on. I would've loved to take my bike to school or skate my way there but I won't waste this opportunity to be with Jaden. I don't know why but I always felt like we needed more time together. I would like to be with him all the time. I guess it's the twin thingy that made me feel like this.
After snatching an apple from the fruit bowl, I went out and straight into Jaden's car. His red Ford Mustang glisten under the morning sun, inviting me into it. Jaden really grind himself off to take this beauty off of the rack. Putting on the seatbelt, I switched on the radio and connect the aux cable to my matte black iPhone and played my playlist. 'King For The Day – Pierce the Veil' blasted through the speakers and I bounced my head up on down subconsciously. Looking at my left, I saw Jaden doing the exact same thing and chuckled. He looked at me and started singing or rather screaming the lyrics at me.
'You told me think about it, well I did
Now I don't wanna feel a thing anymore
I'm tired of begging for the things that I want
I'm over sleeping like a dog on the floor'
The sound of tires screeching took me off of my trances and I gave Jaden one kiss on his cheek before stepping out of the car. Hurdles of peasant could be seen and it's not the view I wished to see on such beautiful day.
"Take those scrunched-up face away princess. It's not that bad" I heard Jaden said before speeding away. I wished Jaden would still be in school and help me get through the day in this so called educational place.
