You close your eyes, relishing the cool night wind. The sounds of the waves and the steady rocking of the ship made you smile. It has been about a week since Kid took you away from the castle and you couldn't be happier. His crew was so interesting and funny, you liked them immediately. Surprisingly, the royal guard hasn't come after you yet. In fact your scape seemed a bit too easy. Boots striding across the deck make you open your eyes and look back.

"Hey, enjoying the night air again?" Kid guesses when you turn to him.

"Yeah, it's nice out here," You breathe with a smile.

"Glad youre enjoying it," He comments, stepping to your side.

"What's not to enjoy?" You reply, nudging him with your shoulder. He tilts his head in thought.

"Got me there," He muses. You look at his face for a bit. He shifts, pink dusting his cheeks as he became aware of your gaze. You reach over and trail a finger down his still fresh scar. He tenses, shuddering slightly from your gentle touch.

"Heh, looks really cool," You comment.

"Does it?" He asks, touching it carefully.

"Mhm, probably not gonna like this but... Im glad you got it..." You murmur with a slight blush.

"You are?" He rumbles.

"Yeah, I don't think we would've met without it," You reply, scratching your nose sheepishly. He blushes at that, smirking thoughtfully.

"I'm glad I got it too," He says, looking across the waves. You smile and follow his gaze. A peaceful and content silence follows. You weren't thinking about anything, just enjoying the view of the moonlit waves. After what seemed like ten minutes, you break the silence.

"I'm so happy right now Kid... Thank you so much..." You murmur to him with a smile. Kid blinks and smirks with a slight blush.

"I told you it would all work out," He shrugs, "And you didn't have to marry anyone as a plus." He chuckles. You blink and tilt your head thoughtfully. "What?" He asks when you smile a bit.

"I was just thinking that if you had challenged me instead, I would've definitely had lost, and we'd be married right now," You muse. Kid blushes heavily, mouth moving but voice not working making you giggle. "Kid? What's wrong?" You giggle, closing his mouth by tipping his chin. He blinks and shifts his gaze.

"..... You don't look grossed out by the idea..." He comments. You blink and giggle again.

"I'm not... I'm just wondering why you didn't take that route, I think youre the first guy that I've talked to this much that hasn't challenged me..." You muse, oddly the fact that he didn't challenge you kinda made you sad. "Do you already have a wife or something?" You inquire.

"No no no no!" He says rather swiftly. You tilt your head, giving him a slight frown.

"Oh, so you're just not attracted to my like that..." You conclude.

"That's not it!" Kid insists, "I am attracted to you! Alot! You're beautiful and strong and clever and.... So out of my league...." He trails off, blushing heavily at his own out burst. You blink, that's why he didn't challenge you? Kid didn't think he was good enough for your hand. You start to giggle, making him blush more. You reach up and grab his face, pulling it down to yours and pressing your lips against his. He freezes in surprise, not sure what to do.

"You're not what I expected... And I'm really glad you came to get me... I wouldn't mind being married to you," You whisper when you pulled back. His eyes widen and he chuckles with a smile.

"Alright then, but I'm not going to chain you down just yet," He says, kissing your cheek.

"Heh, Ill marry you eventually," You chuckle. His smile broadens.

"Is that proper of the princess to say?" He teases.

"Feed proper to the dogs, I'm a pirate princess!"
