Third Person's POV

It took a couple of minutes before the carriage was ready to escort them to the workshops. They were accompanied by Dev who had freshened up and was now clad in a princely outfit. Maisha knew she was wearing the manliest clothes out of the three but it didn't bother her as they were super comfortable, way more than the saree she didn't know how to tie despite of her mum's best efforts to try and teach her. Talking of manly, she had checked out the king for whole thirty seconds. It was the longest anyone had manage to capture her attention.

Vikramaditya Singh Raichand, on the other hand, though checking in with one of his advisors about the results of their peaceful approach to curb the Eastern attacks, could not help but feel smug about his wife checking him out so openly. Normally, he hated the word wife and the human being associated with this title would face his wrath but with a wife as weird and unorthodox like his, the word had become a bit more tolerable. She was a little adventure he never had.

Unknowingly, he kept stealing glances at her and unknowingly so did she, their gaze never meeting or mindful of what the other was doing. It was an awkward situation for both Dev and the minister. The minister hastily wrapped up the conversation and Dev went on to check with charioteer leaving the pair alone. The ministers had an idea of who Maisha might be but they waited for the King to confirm their suspicions. They weren't vocal about it and so had surrendered to her being the Head of their mighty army. Their kingdom had a strong foundation based on strong trust, complete transparency, good conscience and utter commitment to the well being of their expanding motherland.

Their allegiance shocked Maisha as she felt it was missing in the modern era.

However, back to the topic, their little exchange of looks was not ignored by Samaira who happened to pass by. She cursed under her breath and shot death glares to Maisha who didn't bother to look in her direction. Maisha's eyes were fixated on the little tattoo on his shoulder blade near the collar which was exposed from the collar of his kurta. They had tattoos in this era? She thought. He was wearing a plain outfit, duller than Dev but still he did look deviously charming.

"Ah, my King. Where are you heading today, at the lunch hour, with....this?" Samaira clunged onto his arm giving Maisha a disdainful look who smirked in response, annoying her even more. Although Maisha stopped every cell in her body, to remove that arm from her husband's but she knew better. Her aim was not to have a husband but freedom and a way back home.

When did I become so possessive over him? She thought. Maybe it's the word 'husband' that melts every woman's heart. Let's not forget the fact that he's a walking sex God who gives me fifty shades of Grey feels. Maybe even hotter. Damn it. Control hormones!! Control. I feel hot. She thought as a helpless laugh escaped her mouth at that thought. She was so screwed. She had never felt this much tension and she did not want to dwell on that.

"What are you laughing at? I... How can you bring someone so low here darling?" She sneered trying to show off that he belonged to her as Maisha snorted. She couldn't control herself and seeing the look on his face, Darling? Him? She is so dead. She concluded. Aditya was red now, but with anger. No one had ever dared to call him anything other than his title, never by name. And this woman, who's name he can't even remember called him that in front of her!? Just because he slept with her twice who did she think she had become? "Lady Samaira, let go," he seethed glaring at her to stop latching herself to him.

"But Your Majesty- ,"

"I said let go!" He gritted his teeth as if he hated the touch. Samaira flinched away with horrified eyes.

Maisha had stopped laughing now, shock replacing her features. How could someone be that scary? she thought. " But how.... I love you, my King. I'm so sorry ... I ....I.," she broke down sobbing, as he groaned in frustration and summoned a guard.

"Clean this mess," he said walking away as the guard dragged her away. This time Maisha was quiet, she trembled as the he approached her. She stared at the ground not meeting his eyes.

"Scared are we?" He asked in his usual baritone. But it no longer had that calming effect. It scared the shit out of her. Was he going to kill her? How many had suffered from his hands like this? The thought sent chills to her bones. He pinned her to the backside of the chariot and whispered in her ear in a threatening tone that was no longer seductive and knee weakening,"This was just an example of what I could do to you if you dare escape me again," and with that, he let go of her arms which were now striped by the hold of his fingers.

Maisha's throat went dry at his remark. He had recognised her indeed. His warning was real this time and somewhere in the pit of her stomach she knew she couldn't escape him, not this time. She was stuck with a beast after all.

Vikramaditya realised that the scent of that woman still lingered on his arm as he delayed the procession for a few minutes til he bathed again.

A/n: I know it's a little short but I got so pumped up seeing the views that I had to update, and now I can't even half open my eyes. Damn me for being glued to the phone.

But just as I promised, I'll give a big update tomorrow both FATESHIT

it was time that Maisha saw Aditya's inner beast right?

I picture Hina Khan as Samaira (picture for reference)
