The updates will be very slow since I'm not getting many reviews but still thanks for liking some of the chapters.

"The night that I thought was my friend, stole all my staaaaaahhhhh..." I was rudely waken from my slumber which resulted in me screaming loudly. I looked to my left and found Fred, a boy around my age, looking at me guiltily.
Like always I was surrounded by my children whose sleep was disturbed because of my scream. I gently rubbed their backs to calm them and sang a lullaby that I remembered my mother singing for me when I was younger.
It worked it's magic and soon they were once again calmly sleeping. I slowly untangled my self from them and got out of the bed.
A quick look towards my wrist watch told me that it was four in the morning. Glaring daggers at Fred I dragged him outside of my room. When I was far away I rounded on him and hissed "You better have a good excuse for waking me this early in the morning."
I guess I looked pretty scary because he lost a little color. "The others w-wanted you to see t-this." He stuttred.
I huffed and followed him outside. The view that greeted me once outside let me know why they wanted me awake for it wasn't every day you see a scene like this.
The night covered everything like a silk blanket and the stars added the shimering effect to the water making it look magical. What shocked me to the core and took my breath away was what looked like the ruins of a city submerged in the water.
It looked like a dam broke which resulted in the water entering in the city and destroying everything. But it couldn't be right or could it? We were in the ocean. There were no signs of a city before this one. It just didn't make any sense.
"Lower the boats in the water and eight of you all will follow me. The rest will remain behind and take care of the ships." I told them in my calm voice which refused to betray my inner feelings and thoughts.
Four ships were lowered in the water and in each sat two people except for one in which sat three.
As we reached one of the building I broke the window and jumped inside. The inside looked unwelcoming but I shrugged and moved to the side to let the others enter.
"Look for survivors and take them to the ships but it's unlikely that you'll find anyone alive here. Still look for them and take anything and everything that you find useful." I instructed them as I went upstairs with an oil lantern to keep the darkness at bay. Since the lower half of the building was filled with water there was no use of going there.
Soon everyone dispersed and started looking through the apartments. I knocked down the door of the one I decided to look through. It was very dark dark here and there were no sign of life here. I went to look throgh the kitchen because our main requirement was food.
Looked like it wasn't long ago that the city got flooded for there was plenty of food that was yet to be expired. I quickly started filling my bag with tuna, flour, rice, pasta, and various canned tins.
'One down and the rest to go.' I thought as I unintentionally started humming. The next room was the kids room. I went straight to the closet and took all the clothes that were there. After all the kids on the ships needed them and here in this place there was no one that could possibly need clothes.
The next room was a master bedroom. Repeating the same process I took all the clothes. Finding a safe a broke the lock and went through it's contents. Paper money was useless but jewellery could be useful.
Going to the study room I didn't find anything interesting other than a pistol I found in the draw. Taking all the bullets and putting it safely in a box I went to the boat and send the things forward with the instructions that no one was to touch them in my absence.
Breaking the door of the fourth apartment I froze. Listening closely I heard someone whimpering like a wounded animal. Following the sound I reached the master bedroom.
I hesitated but then ignoring everything opened the door.... which accidentally opened with a loud bang.
'Way to go Sakura. Who ever was scared will be down right terrified now.' I thought sarcastically.
And right when I finished my sentence something lunged at me.
