During the next few weeks I trained profusely for my mission, though Anarkra still didn't tell me what it was. I learnt so much about my powers, how to survive in the wilderness, and how to care for marine creatures. I missed my family and Eleckra  so much, especially Alli. I was technically allowed to see Eleckra, but I'd been so busy I hadn't had time to, although I made a point of finding out where she was living. Anarkra was out often, leaving me go train alone. When I asked her why she was out so often she simply said," Trouble is brewing and it's best you keep out of it."

One day, when Anarkra was out on business for the day, I took the liberty of going to visit Eleckra. A girl has a right to visit her best friend, doesn't she? Besides, it wasn't the first time Anarkra had done this to me.

I took Teylin, as we were journeying to the middle of the city, which would have been a very long swim. Our destination, The Temple Of Alchitâe , was located in the heart of Aquata and our culture. Everytime I go to The Temple Of Alchitâe I'm always struck by its beauty. I honestly don't know how Eleckra could live there without being constantly in awe of the elegant structure.

I swam inside, leaving Teylin in the dolphin stables, to find a flustered looking receptionist. " Excuse me, do you know where Eleckra, an apprentice priestess,  is staying ?" I asked with a confidence that surprised me. " Wait a minute," the harried receptionist replied and he searched through a book for a few minutes. " Here we go, room 34, second floor, west wing." I smiled at him and headed for the stairs.

I found her room with ease, for such a large building it was very well ordered. I swam up to her door and knocked. She opened the door and just the expression of sheer delight on her face was enough to make  my journey worth it.

"Oh my goddess! I'm so happy to see you! How are you? " She squeeled and gave me such a tight hug I could barely breathe. " Ha ha ha, I'm excited to see you too. Yeah I'm good. What's being a priestess in trainig like?" I asked when she let me out of her death grip of a hug." It's really cool, I've been learning how the religious ceremonies we perform and out prayers help combat Zereste's evil. Did you know priestesses are paired up with a warrior for life? " she asked and I
nodded.
" IgotpairedupwithMarcus!" She squealed. We squealed and jumped up and down for a solid minute before I asked her." Are you guys a couple yet?" I ask with excitement. " Goddess no, Miara!  Though I wish we were..." She trails off hopefully as she blushed."We work pretty closely though, a warrior needs to be familiar with their priestess. We may have have flirted."She continued. " Eleckra!" I exclaimed. " I'm not sure, you know I'm no good at telling if someone likes me."

" Enough about that, do you know what  proffession Celeste got given?"She asks with a Cheshire Cat grin on her face. " No, after I got chosen I kinda blanked out." I replied, my curiosity was piqued. " The only  mentor that stepped forwards for Celeste was a- butcher!" She said before we burst ou laughing. It didn't come as a shock because she was the most skilled knife wielder in our year, but it was funny because everyone had her pegged to be a priestess. Instead of her cutting people with words, now she'll have to cut meat with a knife.

We spent the next few minutes rolling around on the ground laughing. " What kinda things do you do for your apprenticeship? " she asked when we regained our senses. " I've been learning about sea witch society, how to care for magical creatures, fight training, and how to use my powers-" I was interrupted by Eleckra. "You have powers?! That's awesome,  what are they?" She burst out. " Well, you know about my telepathy," she nodded." But I also have teleportation and an affinity for fighting. Do you have any gifts? "I inquired." Most priestesses do but I haven't discovered mine yet, other than my visions of course. It's really annoying because I'm supposed to go on a mission soon..." She trailed off. " Same, it's ridiculous! Why can't they get someone more experienced instead?" I said. " I know the feeling, my mentor, Aiasha, keeps pressuring me to find out the full extent of my powers. " She said with stress written all over her face." I'm sure it will work out. Now I have to get back to Anarkra's, my mentor, cottage before she does. With a hug and a promose ro come back soon, I left for Anarkra's cottage with Teylin by my side.
