I smiled up at the two arcanine above me. The one who was bigger licked my head and left me giggling. Curled up on my stomach was my baby brother, Blaze. My mommy, the bigger arcanine, her name was Taiya. My daddy's named Wyldfyre.
"Good morning, Amber!" Taiya said joyfully. Blaze let out a mumble.
"No... leave me alone... 5 more minutes..!" I smiled at that and shook him with my paws.
"Wakey, wakey, Mr. Blazey!" I giggled, and so did he. He always laughed when I said that.

Blaze and I walked through the forest, carrying bunches of berries. I smiled at him, and the baby growlithe grinned back. I opened my mouth to say something, but all that came out was a warning as a hydro pump threw him backwards. I rushed to his side. The young child was still breathing, but barely. I stood protectively in front of him and yowled at the top of my lungs, "Mom! Dad!" I could hear the two arcanine somewhere in the forest, but something told me it wouldn't be enough to save my baby brother. I spat a mouthful of fire towards the direction the water had come from and I heard a surprised squawk. Then another hydro pump knocked me away. I struggled to my paws and I saw Wyldfyre running after Taiya. The female arcanine was faster, but she was still too late. A third hydro pump hit the baby growlithe, killing him instantly. I was shocked into silence, and Wyldfyre was still. Taiya let out a howl of despair and rushed towards the large metal bird, who was close enough to see. He knocked her aside with a steel wing and clawed at her unprotected belly. A hydro pump finished off my mother. That's when Wyld started to move again. He rushed towards the unsuspecting Empoleon and fired a Flamethrower. The empoleon turned after the hit had weakened him to see a dragon pulse throw him back. My brother and mothers killer was dead.

Wyld walked slowly towards me, but I closed my eyes and let him pick me up. I didn't say or do anything as we walked away from our old home.
